    Quoted from RYSR:

Flipper lag is a symptom under-powered PC hardware.
The hardware requirements for VPX is much higher then the VP9 versions. To get good resolution and flipper performance on a Cabinet with a large screen you will need a beefy rig. I would advise at least a fast I5 processor,4-8gb ram and a fast Nvidia card say a 9000 series or higher.
VPX version 10.3 has been released. The table releases just keep looking better all the time, very realistic. Depending on the authors tuning of the physics, some play very close to the real pin's.

Help me out here, what is the rough estimate on a computer ready for this build? I've got old tvs laying about already so that's "free".

Probably numerous threads on this already so if you know of one hit me the link.

Like I need another cabinet in the room

What were you running before the gtx 1050 Ti?

I'm setting up using just the on board gpu right now, but looking at your gpu or a gtx 1060.

Wondering if the 1060 would solve your issue. ..

Can someone post a screenshot of their Taxi and Fish Tales please. I'm trying to judge my definition. Looks a little cartoony right now.

    I hear ya.

    Quoted from DEN:

If you read further up, i wrote my old gpu was gt630. It ran fine UNTILL i put on the big screen an at HD resolution. That reduces fps to unplayble.
    .NET is v4.0.
Its odd that in vp it runs with SO high fps. And under pinballX its so low.
In the old days i used something called hyperpin, i will install that and see if its better. Dont really like pinballx anyway

Yeah, I read earlier I'm sure but forgot.

    Thanks.

I'm thinking $150 for a new gtx 1050 is pretty good. But I get what you're saying. Of course, turning down all the settings isn't always an option.

Not certain about 10 years ago, but I've got mine up and running pretty well with limited time spent.

    Quoted from kemper:

So I built my first cab in 2009, kept it upgraded throughout the years and then lost interest in it for a few years. The new VPX tables look amazing. I was thinking of upgrading my cab with new hardware. I have a machine I got from work that's pretty beefy. Intel I7 Quad 4930K 3.40mhz with 32 Gb ram, Nvidia GTX Titan Black video card. Should this be adiquate to run the latest VPX tables? Also since its a new build do you suggest Win7 or Win 10.
Thanks for your help, excited to get this table running again.

I'm new to this, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'm running an i5 with only 4gb RAM right now on Windows 10 pretty smoothly. I haven’t engaged Pinballx yet, so that may force me into another 4 GB, but sounds as though your system is indeed beefy enough.

I'd go Windows 10 as I've seen threads where Windows 7 caused a few hiccups.

    Nice build by the way
