My opinion would be NASCAR, great game, great flow, good rule set, for the money you can't beat it
Vastly underrated System 11 game since a lot of people don't like the cheesy graphics and music. I'm a fan of all that is the 80s so this is fitting for me.
I played rollergames about 2 month ago and couldn't believe what a great game it was, one of the better system 11

EMs in general and the better EMs in particular. Like many others, I was always after the latest and greatest. It took me a long time to appreciate the value of a good EM.
I talk about these a lot on here, but I just love my under rated gruesome twosome: Gladiators and Starship Troopers!
Step 1: look at my collection
Step 2: Pick 80% of them which are not considered top rated
Step 3: There is your new "under-rated but awesome game" list
I don't know if it's underrated, but I wrote it off the first 10-15 or so times I played it.
Elvis. I'm not saying by any means that it is a perfect pin, but I can see how it would get overlooked. The theme is not that great (in my opinion. I am not an Elvis fan). But the gameplay, when you get it down, is pretty superb. Plenty of interesting shots with a pretty unique playfield layout. Once I got my shots down to open up Heart Break Hotel multiball, the game really opened up to me. It's a surprisingly fun pin.
I'd also have to put Hook on this list. I'm generally not a Data East fan, but the multiball start with two more skill shots is really satisfying. BANGARANG!!!

Haven't played starship much, but +1 for gladiators! And rocky & bullwinkle

I really like the mid 70s Gottlieb pins. Abra Ca Dabra, Atlantis and Centigrade 37. Really, really fun pins. You can get all 3 for the price of a B title DMD.
As for DMDs, I really like Jackbot for the cost of low 2k.

Yup. I had grown accustomed to desirable pins being in the $4k-8k range and so was delighted to discover how much fun an older pin in the $500-1,500 (or so) range could be.

I'm with you on this one. For some reason, it was always one of my favorite machines. I stupidly sold the two that I had. I am now looking for a third that I will never get rid of.
Black Rose does not seem to be overly popular, but to me it has that fun factor that keeps me on the machine for long periods of time.
Mr Ms Pac Man is much less popular than anything mentioned thus far. Happens to be a game that no even one understands. First video mode in a pinball.
So many of the games mentioned above have TONS of dedicated players and the secret was out long ago that they are great.
I always loved William's FIRE! No pop bumpers and unusual gameplay but that's why I like it I think.
striker xtreme has a bad rap but for the price, and the games it's up against in it's price range, it's got some fun gameplay.
judge dredd is underrated too imo. get's some love but not as much as it deserves.
Well, this one is probably just as much unknown as it is underrated. However, it has gained a small following among pinball connaisseurs in recent years. Still: my vote goes to TX-Sector. An extremely witty game from a time when Gottlieb's popularity was probably at its lowest. Amazing sound, great rules and a beautiful light show, especially when led'ed.
My TX-Sector
Hook by Data East. While the rule set isn't super deep, it has some really hard sots, and the wind coaster is such a satisfying ramp.
I just played Black Rose and was really impressed. Seems like a game you never hear about. Really fun cannon shot and great callouts. Kinda goofy, but shouldn't pinball be a little goofy? A lot of fun.
Secret Service, Roadkings, Arena, TX Sector, Robowar, Excalibur, Vector, D and D, Time Fantasy and many more great under rated games out there. I actually find some extra joy in these games due to the fact that they are the underdogs, and usually are obtainable for a fraction of their overpriced cousins, all I know is I would rather have 5 of these so called under rated games rather than 1 MM or CC.
I got a news flash for anyone thinking of posting a game in the top 100...
IT DOESN'T APPLY TO THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD.
Quoted from Lermods:I agree 100% baywatch!! This game has so much for so little... I'd feel like I was kicked in the nuts if I ever let mine go for what their selling for.
Also 24 this game just one pure adrenaline rush in my opinion. 17 games in my collection and I just can't seem to get enough of this one. Simply put....I love it...best purchase this year by far.
Quoted from Craig:the better EMs in particular.
So true. The EM top 100 list is a bigger joke than the DMD list.

News flash! Some of the top 100 belong closer to the top than bottom... So anything good ranked 101 or higher qualifies?
I have to agree that there is some wackiness to some of these titles. FT and BSD have been on the B+ list for many years. No I don't want to argue "should be A". I'm just saying it does get love.
And C37? It is A-list for the EM games. If not please show me a cheap one. Just because it is not on the top of the Pinside 100 list does not make it underrated.
The rest of them named here are just crap
Space Station
Under-rated system 11 with three ball multi-ball with repeatable jackpot, sweet space theme, green mode GI, ramp with cool diverter, good sound, different layout with no inlanes, etc.
It's got it all.
Flintstones especially when u can get it for around 2500 . When u start getting towards 3k like ive seen lately then there are many better playing in that range . Its definitely way underrated as for as ratings
