STLE. Support the present and future, not the past, even glorious...

Disclaimer: I love to give my opinion on pins I will never buy as $8k translates into 8000 euros here (with customs, VAT and transport) and I can't/does not want to spend that much on a pin!

Interesting close poll, by the way!

Quoted from gweempose:

I'm guessing many people that picked STLE in the poll did so because they are concerned about MMr's unproven new boardset, emulation, ect... I wonder if the results would be different if people were asked which game would they rather have, an STLE or mint original MM (assuming they were not allowed to flip it for profit).

MM > STLE same condition so I'd rather have a MM. I have both titles and my MM is better (much better) than my STLE

8000 Euros is $10,800 based on todays exchange rate

Pretty sure he is saying that $8000 US (which is 5866 Euros) is 8000 Euro after Frances VAT (Value Added tax) & shipping.
$8K is roughly 5866 Euro + VAT which looks to now be 20% in France = 1173 Euro ($1600 US) + shipping.

So his actual cost would be $10800 US

And we thought we were getting reamed by Stern on New Pin prices!!!

Wow! I can't believe the poll is so close. Different strokes…

as of now exactly split 50:50 (rounding actual vote is 77 MMR ; 78 STLE)

edit: STLE just pulled ahead.

I did play MM real the other day, just from shooting around it didn't seem any better. Maybe with the rules or the nuances of play it might be a better game, but to me the STLE looks much better (I mean the color changing LEDs) maybe if/when the MMR has color changing LCD/DMD it will even the score. But as far as satisfying shots they both are similar (IMO).

It's funny, because I have SM and AFM. Both are the "similar" titles to both of these. I haven't played STLE, so I need to get some time on it before deciding, but at the price points, my preliminary feeling is that I'd rather have MMR.

I already own a MMo, so my choice is easy.

STLE. I own it, and it's a great game. I've played MM many times, and it's a good game, but my wife and I both like STLE better.

Spot on!

I'd have to say STLE - because my wife is a die hard Trekkie and if I ever was able to spend that much on a pin, it would be for a StarTrek theme.
