I didn't preorder Hobbit, but if I would have, I would have cancelled on January 1st when they missed the guaranteed December 2014 ship date. I remember that being one of the main talking points to encourage people to preorder. It has to be delivered on time or we will lose the license, is what I remember.

I am interested in Game of Thrones, but won't seriously consider purchasing it for about a year. When the code is complete enough that I really want it, then I will buy one.
