Ok, I live in the cul-de-sac on a quiet dead end street. Lake on one side, woods on the other. The next 2 houses are empty nesters and never home. 1/8th of a mile to active neighbors.

Cars like to park here, they do not belong, it gets old.

In the daytime I have approached with a gun and my pocket to a car parked, and normally it was someone supposed to be working, but instead hiding out here pretending to still be working.

The other night a car parked right in front of my lower drive. The couple got out and had sex right up next to the car, than sat in the car forever listening to loud music and that is what pissed me off.

I finally got in my car and pretended I was leaving and turned the brights on them and they hauled ass.

While ago there was a car, but it was closer to my neighbor 1/8 mile away, and I called him and said your turn, maybe a good time to walk your dogs.

He called the cops, and man they surrounded the car big time, but they did let them go.

A while back I have no clue what the people were doing, but the people were handcuffed and that car was towed after the cops showed up.

    O-din's bitch was leaf blowers.

My bitch is cars that not belong here parking, and leaving behind condoms and beer cans.

I hate to bother 911 with this crap, I think they are needed for more important things.

Yeah, my normally quiet dead end street sometimes is lovers lane.

    What would you do?

Me: I think maybe I should get some of those motion sensor wildlife cameras and install in the woods pointed back at the street. (I may could make a few bucks if the footage was clean enough to put on youtube).

Or get a big ass bright spot light that is motion sensor to run off in the first place.

Or install NO PARKING signs every 10 feet.

But unless someone has a really great idea, I guess me and the neighbor up the road will just keep bugging 911.

Motion sensor spotlights would at least make them park away from your yard. For fun, I have seen motion sensing sprinklers

    #3 3 years ago

A big ass motion sensing spotlight will likely work well for this.

Sounds like you got grumpy old man syndrome going on. I should know, I find myself getting irritated when people park in front of my house only to walk up the street to someone elses house instead of parking in that persons drive way. Shit drives me nuts! Ask yourself, "Are they breaking the law?" The answer is likely found in local law ... how many days can a vehicle sit without moving. In my case no, they aren't breaking in laws. The street/road is considered public property.

Approaching a legally parked car with a gun in your pocket? Sounds like you're bored, looking for trouble, grumpy old man syndrome, or some combination of the three. Blame your empty nest neighbors for making the neighborhood seem desolate.

The public sex & loud music are bad, but I think you just gotta leave garden variety parked cars alone. I'd say "get a hobby" but you're on pinside, so instead I'll say "get over it." If it bothers you that much, maybe time to buy a big piece of land in the country.

    Quoted from CLEllison:

    I 100% agree with that!

But no, the rest of what you said is not what I have going on.

They are not parking and walking, they are just parking and having sex or doing drugs or whatever else.

1/8 of a mile to the nearest occupied house. They are parking where they think they are in the country, one block from all other civilization.

Pretty good assessment. But no, I am trying to keep my small place that feels like being in the country the way it is. I have no plans to move. I love it here.

My street is just so awesome that others have also discovered it and trying to make a lovers lane out of it.

I am leaning at some no parking anytime signs.

Nah, throw up some parking meters. $$$

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. JohnnyPinball's Amateur Porn Cul-De-Sac Channel on Pornhub. Depending on how good it was, I'd pay a few bucks for that every month.

I would go broke very quick, they are not that great.

Now if that channel had a comedy section, with first timers, my lover lane may could do well.

In the daytime I will see what is going on.

After dark, and I have had a few beers, I am not stepping a foot off my property.

And I have been pegged with the old grumpy man thing.

I do not own that street, but neither do they, and it feels like all that is mine also.

This is just a touch of country, just a block from the city, and has became the lovers lane.

No kids around to have a lemonade stand.

I doubt the parking meter thing would work.

If it keeps going on I may set up a condom stand for a joke.

    Will the wildlife cameras work?

I have no clue about this stuff.

If I had more money I would love to just have this street gated with a guard and gate at the main road.

    #16 3 years ago

Purchase a few RAB motion activated spot lights, not the Home Depot or Harbor Freight type junk. The intensity of these lights will definitely keep them away, Also, maybe set off some fireworks when these folks show up, a few M80s?

    #17 3 years ago

Lights, either your own or contact your city for streetlights (

    #18 3 years ago

Buy a decent camera and make some $$$ out of this situation

    #19 3 years ago

Sound like people are going there to have sex because it seems secluded and out of the way. Not sure who has car sex anymore unless it’s teenagers or prostitution?

Post a sign that reads as follows:

If you are parking here to fornicate, please be aware you are on private property and in doing so consent to being filmed.
As soon as you are finished a high definition video will be uploaded to pornhub.

    #20 3 years ago

Make a sign for the end of the road that says “Private Access”, “Private Lane“ or something like that. Maybe ask the city to make it for you. No parking signs might help. Motion activated lights would stop most people too.

    #21 3 years ago

If it´s so secluded, maybe message the never beeing home neighburs about getting a gate or someting to the area.
Otherwise, angrily barking dogs and a reputation of beeing crazy usually do the trick.

    #22 3 years ago

Car sex reminds me of movie IT follows. I don’t know how you could use that to ur advantage . I guess find out where they Live and start chasing after them

    Great movie .

    #23 3 years ago

Solar motion flood lights. Lots of them.

    #24 3 years ago
    Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

The couple got out and had sex right up next to the car.

Does this bring up memories to anyone else here or just me?

    #25 3 years ago

behavioral modification is where it is at.

    camera, lights, signs, etc...

If you really think it is people having sex and shooting drugs then set up video cameras and put out signs all over the area to let them know.
They will find a better spot if they are inconvenienced.

I personally would have fun with it. You sound bored and old, but want to stay safe on your property. Get a decent drone and learn how to fly. You can then sit safely in your back yard and have a great camera to go record and disturb them till they get the hint. Maybe even get some official looking signs for the area noting "Drone surveillance area"

Would be fun to catch them in the act, then fly away, call the cops and give the cops the video.

Cops cant and wont do anything when they have no evidence. Normally, you call and cops arrive after the fun is over...

yeah Im too tall for backseat of cars. Even with the front car seats all the way forward. Outside works better

    #27 3 years ago

Maybe you can rent one of your rooms out by the hour and make some money?

    #28 3 years ago

A megaphone & shout this is detective Johnson of the police you have three minutes to vacate said property before police show up!!

    #29 3 years ago

Perhaps in checking with your local police, you could offer to pay for a sign at the street entrance.
"Neighborhood watch", "This area is a police surveillance area", etc, along with the motion lights.
We had this done in one of the streets by me...dont know if might help.

Now that I am a Grumpy Old Man, I share that its called "Wisdom", and "tired of bullshit"

    #30 3 years ago

Buy a used police/law enforcement car. Fix it up to look like a real police/security vehicle and park it on the street in front of your house. If people believe you are with law enforcement, they will go elsewhere.

    #31 3 years ago

    $50 fix.

Buy a solar powered spotlight/fake security camera and a "smile, you are on camera" sign. The motion light will draw people to see the camera. Attach prominately to telephone pole by lovers lane. Most women are not exhibitionists.

I don't think OP is being an old man. I'd be pissed if I was finding condoms and beer cans on my property. Should not be a job for OP to pick up after these jerks.

    #33 3 years ago

    Love the drone idea.

Just imagine if Gladys Kravitz had had a drone at her disposal. That Samantha Stevens woman would have been busted and burned at the stake by episode two.

    #34 3 years ago

Work with your town officials and local police about it. I think you will find a longer lasting solution that way rather than being the vigilante police man of your cul de sac. In my neighbor hood the town has out no parking signs and police patrols to cut down on outsiders parking to visit a local lake. Don’t call 911 just call the local police department. This is what you pay your taxes for. It’s their job to deal with stuff like this.

    #35 3 years ago

Best option is to go down to the police department and complain. Tell them what you've observed and that there are empty houses down here that you are worried about. They can make your street a regular part of their patrol if you ask nicely and come off genuine.

    Bingo!

    #38 3 years ago

I agree that speaking with your local city hall officials would be the best beginning. I highly doubt you could have a "private" road sign installed if you and your neighbors don't actually use your own out-of-pocket personal funds for road maintenance. However, you can easily purchase online signs that state the area is under surveillance. That may be a solid deterrent. My neighborhood placed several of these around. I also agree with installing a motion sensor light or multiple lights. There are some decently powerful lights that run on batteries and can be placed just about anywhere, as long as is the placement is not too fr away from where a car would park.

If all else fails, buy a paintball gun and let her rip!!

Are they legally allowed to park there?

Are they legally allowed to park there?

sounds like it and the problem is not the parking but the lewd acts, biohazard littering, and drug use?

    #41 3 years ago

Change your wireless router name to Mableton_Police_SurveillanceVan2. Their phones will see your router name and maybe that’ll deter some.

    #42 3 years ago

    I’d watch

    #43 3 years ago

OP, like others have said, contact the non emergency police number. Ask to have a patrol and start from there. DOCUMENT dates and times when you observe instances. I don't know if there is a hunting camera you could use that will snap a picture any time movement occurs. That way you can capture all dates and times even when you are not home. Good luck!

    #44 3 years ago

Leave a trashcan outside with a sign that says "deposit your beer cans and condoms here or I will start calling the police."

    #45 3 years ago
