Putting back together my TOM and have looked for days and no idea where it went. Pulling my hair out and now just ready to find a replacement.

Looking for the harness that attaches to the trough opto boards.

Anyone know the part number or where I could find one?

Bump...anyone know what I need? Would the secondary harness take care of me?

The secondary runs from your transformer to the backbox. You sure that isn't part of the switch matrix?

#4 10 years ago

Yeah, that's not the one I need. Dang it.

I can't believe I can't find it

#5 10 years ago

Sounds like you are looking for the cable that connects the ball through optos to the 7 switch opto board. Not sure what the part number is. I'm actually working on a TOM as well, so I can check the harness for you tomorrow - just gotta find it

#6 10 years ago

Yep, that's the one! Sucks as I am done with everything on the prototype that hep did the pf for me and can't find one little harness...might have to re-create one which would suck

I'd imagine it's P/N H-20016.1

Jim Shird should be able to make you a new one reasonably that will look and work just like the original

Contact him through the form on his site here:

http://www.jimspinballshop.com/

He should be able to verify whether that's the harness you need or not.

Once you order another, it'll surely turn up!

Otherwise, here's the breakdown of the cable - the 17xx is the line item #, the # at the end is the quantity (for the wires, length in inches)

Does anyone know Jim's Pinside id? I sent him a message via his website but not sure it went through as it said sent and then shows not found shortly after.

Thanks

I don't think Jim is on pin side. Inquiries through his site generally take a couple days to get a response.

Here is the little sob I am missing. Think I am going to just make my own.

Next question....anyone know where to find the correct wiring that John listed above?20131203_221338.jpg20131203_221338.jpg20131203_221338.jpg20131203_221338.jpg

I rob lots of wiring off of parted out games. I save the wiring harness that i can separate, but there is always a lot of extra wire around 22 awg

Yeah, was hoping to find the same colors but not sure that is going to happen. BAA has some wire but it is 18awg. I have everything else ordered and hoping to find some workable wire asap!

That looks fairly easy to make!

Yep, hardest part so far has been trying to find wiring.
