Quoted from zr11990:The gauntlet is horrible
Sterns just about done remaking every 90s DE pin.
Barrel is getting pretty low.
Maverick reboot planned?
I’ll happily poop in my adult diaper if Zeppelin is announced. That artwork better be next level.
I’m in!
Quoted from Diamond:At least with Stern we will get the studio songs not some random live recordings.
Nope. GNR is concert footage over studio tracks.
Bring on Richies next Stern!
Quoted from TKDalumni:so hope the layout and rule set is next level.
The one thing we know is they will be available to ship immediately.
Tim is good but some BKSOR owners feel it lacks some polish. Hope he come through big time on LZ.
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Well, have u checked your diaper today?
Can’t wait!!!
Quoted from mthirkell:Anyone know where I can order a LZ LE?
I’m wondering too and how orders are open already but hey - why not!
Looks like this may ship before that 2k plus backlog. Just seems crazy.
Come on Stern, let’s do this right!
Bring LZ in with full tracks, no Guardians partial soundtrack or Beatles clipped stuff.
In other words, let’s hope Cleland gets a break.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:I would love to see Queen or Motley Crue. Crue has the artwork and killer tracks. Have a rising drum set coming out of the playfield like the EM on LZ for Tommy would be killer. Just have 2 songs from the first five albums and I would be very very happy. Do a Shout at the Devil LE.
I wouldn’t mind a Crue pin.
Stern would probably reuse those pole dancers from Sopranos.
Quoted from PinMonk:screamed and threw her popcorn up in the air. Cracked me up.
But I still don't see the appeal of a Jaws pin.
I see the appeal more after that story!
Quoted from mrclean:Likely to include a piece of stainless steel from the on screen Deloreon.
Hub cap? I can see that.
Quoted from MrBubbles:IM - I've tried liking this game many times because I want to add it to the collection. Everytime I play it I'm bored.
I’ve read people hating music/theme but that’s the first for being bored. Lol
MK doesn’t hit the nostalgia button for me at all but I can see it doing well like Deadpool. I’d give it a flip.
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:why would Stern create merch with a shark on it if they weren’t intending to make a shark pin (Jaws, obviously)? It makes no sense.
Quoted from Hammerhead:Why would they create a puzzle of a wizard in a grey cloak and pointy hat with a long white beard
Quoted from kermit24:Great code is about creating moments, building up to something. The choreography and timing of how everything presents itself to the player is a huge part of the overall package.
Completely agree. I often feel some newer games lack layers of feedback for the player.
Quoted from UVAJED:If stern did it like that or better I would be more excited to follow this thread.
Other companies simply get a hall pass.
Recent Sterns titles like AIQ cookie cutter?!?
What a joke.
Sterns are reliable, play great, and have experienced (and new) teams behind them.
Spooky getting better and can have their success too.
Never understood this VS thing in the hobby with people.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:If Stern did that pin could you imagine how much hate it would get by them? I am a fan of pinball and no particular company, but the fan boy goggles for Ultraman are off the charts.
A lot but would still sell out if limited with or without gameplay. Seems to be the environment we are in now.
Ultraman next to a Godzilla would be pretty cool.
Quoted from Reality_Studio:I'm surprised that new pro models are still available for <$6k.[quoted image]
Yes, not for much longer!
Quoted from starfighter:not to mention an unlimited BOM on this build....
Unlimited eh?
My imagination runs wild now.
If Godzilla breathes fire - I’m way in.
Quoted from radium:The Godzilla fanboys are fuckin pissed this wasn’t about a new movie or a new line of Godzilla-themed underpants for grown men
Sounds like future Pinsiders to me! (see every Stern Marvel release)
Quoted from gambit3113:Word is that the assets on the screen will be very much like JP, in that they didn't pay a bunch of licensing for clips and video.
Ok so everything in the game rotates, spins, grabs, or drops except Godzilla in the upper left corner right?
Excellent!
Quoted from MasterBlaster:but in general I think that pinball has been underpriced for the last 3-4 years.
Quoted from hiker2099:I think AIQ is the best Modern Elwin game. JMHO…..Aaaaannnnnnnddddddd GO!
Topic for a new thread.
We are a just a few hours away from being back to Rush and BTTF here.
Any confirm out there of which in production Stern titles will be completely cut from 2022 schedule?
I’ve heard rumors a few may be pushed in order to keep up with new releases.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:I don't doubt Stern is putting in game specific parts orders 200 to 500 units at a time. They have to constantly rotate the production games being built to satisfy older orders. I expect to see Star Wars and Batman drop off the production list soon, most likely after their next run of these.
[quoted image]
I keep hearing no Zep, Maiden, and a third title next year but looking for a confirm.
Quoted from TechnicalSteam:Stern butchered: Heavy Metal, Primus, Led Zep, Aerosmith and Rolling stones
Nah, Aerosmith and Zep are good players. Hope herd is wrong on Rush so I can get one avoiding cash grab prices.
Gotta hand it to marketing dept at Stern.
Going from lifestyle brand to using terms like “advanced terrestrial” - very nice!
Could an E.T. pinball be next?
“Stern is a global lifestyle brand based on the iconic and outrageously fun modern American game of pinball. Headquartered minutes from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport in the heart of North America, the company creates, designs, engineers, manufactures, markets, and distributes a full line of technologically advanced terrestrial and digital pinball games, parts, accessories, and merchandise. Stern Pinball serves digital, consumer, commercial, and corporate markets around the globe.”
Please stop. No more mentioning Ozzy or Black Sabbath or I may ruin a perfectly good pair of Depends.
I can only wish!
Quoted from Ballderdash:Teaser yesterday... Doc Brown’s plutonium?
[quoted image]
Oh Stern, you really do enjoy the trolling.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:HWN itself is about as stacked as JJP Pirates. That being said…
Quoted from Hayfarmer:My super secret inside guy says October
Quoted from KadeP:My inside super secret sourcey guy says October
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Bummed about the price increase? Put your games on location. They pay for themselves. Problem solved.
Possibly, depends on your location. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-halloween-collectors-edition-71
Quoted from jfh:So, E40 style pricing and no ramps?
Sounds like a waste of a design cycle and all sorts of potential issues with three distinct code levels required.
Well if this is real and has no ramps, it probably took Elwin 15-20 minutes to design tops.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Nope, you'll have to wait a week.
Quoted from wackenhut:why would they delay this compared to the current LE
I could only imagine ..
Quoted from gandamack:You will NEVER see a theme like this in the future. Too much of a liabilty for any pin company in this brave new word.
EHOH is full of similar wit and double entendres and is selling quite well.
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:Cocaine Bear now that needs a pinball lol
Stern, make it happen!
Quoted from PinMonk:Then you can get a Premium for actual retail.
Agree but if Stern pulls this out of their vault have a hard time believing they would be at current premiums MSRP.
Quoted from PinMonk:It will be whatever Premium MSRP is then. It certainly won't be with the $3-4k premium on the used market right now.
Maybe. They could easily label it “vault edition” and go higher. Nothing surprises me anymore.
Either way- hope they at least include/rerun the uv kits for those willing to pay up for this one.
Quoted from BasementFacts:and carried at Costco to have a chance.
Guess they can try again..
Quoted from Kkoss24:Metallica 72 vault version is coming . Book it Dano !
You guys..Please don’t do this to me..
Nothing in this hobby makes sense to me but if they vault MET I’d consider having two and rolling like a happy pig in slop. Love that game. Yippee!
Quoted from bigguybbr:The movie was 13 years ago and wasn’t a hit.
Game is a hit and would love to see it!
Quoted from Rarehero:People see a game that just looks F’ing cool & they want it. I dunno, that’s how I was with Foo. I was never a Foo fan, didn’t plan on buying it.
So basically FOMO.
Quoted from iceman44:Pump and Dump!
Pump and dumpers left holding the bag!
Don’t get the sense many are crying for them.
Quoted from underlord:price increases of average $400 every title. JJP and Stern are feeding off of eachother
I apologize for sucking the fun out of the room
Blame the FOMO buyers paying more to scalper flippers over the last few years. No one likes higher prices but these companies weren’t blind to the demand.
Quoted from Prince66cali:They did not help their market by raising prices and increasing supply. Short term gain, long term mess. I like their product and Im excited for Venom but they got greedy.
I guess we will see.
If Venom sells then the price is right.
Just how the market works.
Quoted from iceman44:I’ve gotten several VenomLE emails today from Distros.
Same. Hard to believe a time existed when even great games like METs and AC/DC were a call away sitting as inventory on distributors shelves!
Quoted from Thunderbird:Outcome: air looks like it’s been let out of the Stern FOMO helium balloon resulting in fewer posts in the hype
Secure the balloon!
Quoted from iceman44:One big Distro I spoke to is worried. It’s a shitload of NIB to sit on. And not just Stern. Hundreds of thousands of $$$
If you think it’s such a great deal get yourself a distributorship.
Buyers who are interested in “investments”? Those idiots are dwindling.
Speculators (scalpers) are gone like the wind after last price increase. Folks unaccustomed to losing on resale are next!
Look out below kids!
Quoted from Billygrippo:They also raised it an extra grand after price and sales reveal. “Lower than whale shit” if you ask me
Gotta love these decisions!
These rollout schedules are fine but hopefully they cut to the chase and show all trim levels day one.
Quoted from Yoko2una:Looks more like you roll the dice on an LE and then the next day you get to see what you bought.
Certainly seems that way but hard to tell.
A lot less “take money now” posts this time around. Maybe that all changes tomorrow -we will see..!!
Quoted from iceman44:Maybe we will get a Snow White and the NEW 7 dwarfs pin!
Oh not that..please no …
Quoted from TreyBo69:Just wait another week or two when distributors start to pressure their long time customers
Not sure about pressure just yet but they certainly are hitting the email pavement hard!
Quoted from lftwng4:I would love it if Stern were to re-release "classic" pinball machines from the 80s, like Stargazer, Seawitch, et al. But make 'em affordable, call them "Classics from the Vault" series or something, sell them for around 5k each? I dunno, better than re-theming them as the Beatles or something.
Beatles is badass but great idea.
I like the single level games with modern touch.
No pin can be manufactured new at 5k today or company would go belly up.
Stern is cheapest with their pro model.
Quoted from StrangeSubset1:Can I just mention that this is the fastest I have seen this thread move on after the announcement of a new game.
Agree. A few are feeling the theme and like what they see but most seem to want to move on.
Super hero or price fatigue? Hard to tell.
Maybe it will change after more get in the wild.
Quoted from screaminr:Sorry mate , you're only going to get the comic version
Yeah screw that - no half assed assets or cartoons on Jaws license with the red label everywhere on machine.
Rather see sharknado at that point instead.
Quoted from iceman44:I’d like a Jaws pin too. And I assume they will be handing out rape kits with every purchase.
I’d prefer a Jaws pin, but no rape kits please.
Thanks Stern!
Quoted from Thunderbird:Has anyone noticed how the Venom hype thread has really slowed down since the stream?
Haven’t seen a Stern hype thread flatline so fast.
Price or Super hero fatigue? idk.
Seems like another solid pin.
Quoted from Nicholastree:Bottom line: theme isn't any guarantee of a great pin.
Absolutely but in demand themes will sell pinball machines and that was the point.
Quoted from JakeFAttie:I have nothing against metal, and many of my friends are metal-heads, but I couldnt' have that pin in my home.
Well based on avatar you seemed more of a Snoop Dogg pin guy anyway.
Quoted from PinStalker:So what effect is the new factory going to have on the industry?
Largest gift shop with fresh Margarita bar?
Quoted from mikebarr:I always thought Talladega Nights would make for an amazing pin.[quoted image]
Absolutely!
Check out the NASCAR retheme from someone in the community for now…

Quoted from Molon_Labe:There have also been some missteps and missed opportunities.
SOME missteps and missed opportunities?!
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Am I to read the tea leaves to learn Elwin is on BTTF also, in the same fucking year?
Quoted from Grantman:There are a lot of companies cranking out $10k games
Yes and some had every opportunity to get better over the last decade.
Times about up.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:I still believe STh vault is coming in Nov.
If Stern makes Stranger it’s with a much higher price tag.
Good luck
Quoted from iceman44:Noobs? Ok
Stern is like an excited dog humping Elwin’s leg.
Quoted from crujones4life:Stranger Things Vault to be announced Tuesday!
Quoted from John_I:I don't even understand why they make a Stranger Things Pro? Makes no sense not having the projector.
Operators.
Apparently does well on location.
Quoted from Kkoss24:“honey ,this is the last one for a long time “speech 2Xs since Spring .Ugh !!
No worries. She didn’t believe you after the first time.
Quoted from mbl1116:Expect inventory as well as a flooding of “reasonably” priced used games.
Hope so, not seeing much reason yet.
Quoted from John_I:Sorry I was joking both times around. This one was just too convenient to pass up. I really do hope you get your dream machine someday.
You nearly stole a man’s hoverboard dreams today!
Quoted from Prince66cali:If my purchase appreciates but then after the fact they decide to mass produce it and destroy the value, that's trash because then I can't win.
Sorry the flip is gone.
They are meeting demand as manufacturers do.
Hope you still enjoy the games.
Quoted from iceman44:$13k at 1,000 LE's of ANY pin is way too many.FOO was the eye opener NIB beatdown for flippers/Distros.
Quoted from Yoko2una:Labyrinth is probably right at the edge of the value proposition chart, and appears successful to date, but surely would've benefitted much more if it came out a year ago. Going above $10K
Agree. Great launch just a tad rich over 10k for a brand new company.
Quoted from underlord:Seth can’t have it both ways. Huge inventory by increasing production AND high prices. Something’s gotta give.
Stern+ bundle promo offer coming soon!
Pokémon is terrible theme wise for me but I’ll play any game on location where it would likely do really well.
Quoted from PanzerKraken:My light on the QR reader on Godzilla doesn't work anymore... yay me
How did you do that?
I’d like to turn the light off as well.
Quoted from kool1:I'm fine with Dutch (I have played a few games of TBL) but I can't afford Dutch prices so I'm automatically out. I can't do $14-15K, sorry.
Especially if it’s BTTF: The Musical
Quoted from chad:Two pins Stern had/Lost . BTTF and Harry Potter. But hopefully the games they have upcoming will satisfy us....
They still have the most talented designers and code teams delivering reliable fun machines on time. Imagine they’ll be fine, but Pinside satisfied?
Quoted from pinmister:Will this ship make or break the game in terms of Pro vs LE decisions?
-The juices are starting to flow

Quoted from Apollo18:Comon guys
Share the Jaws pics.
Won’t be long now!!

Aye aye, captain …
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/dah-dumjaws-hype-thread
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:Those rushing to be disappointed: this is Elwin. Game will be great.
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:This is Elwin. Design will be great.
Will it be great? Just verifying.
Quoted from demandecan55:They can’t cope with the high prices so they “neg” on everything.
All of the above. Happens every time
Quoted from GCS2000:Spooky CE is the same price as a Stern Premium and I think LT looks far better than Jaws at this point.
To each their own. looks great
Quoted from Rolls-Royce:Thanks for posting this Vino!
No prob. Saw it on hype thread and didn’t see it here. Credit to germsinc
Quoted from Utesichiban:Yep. Now they have to pay for a big, new, shiny facility with a rapidky retracting market and many pissed off customers.
Is this true? Customers sure seem pretty darn happy with shiny new GZ’s, STh, JP30, Elvira’s, Foo’s and soon Jaws.
Quoted from iceman44:I think it would take Spooky to do South Park which would be great. Too “offensive” for today’s Stern
Probably right.
Elvira is about as risqué as you get now.
Quoted from Rizmo:even if Dutch did release BTTF people will still be waiting until 2026 to get their machines.
Yes, the nonrefundable preorders will be like going back in time!
