Quoted from John1210:

Quite sure it's gotg with Borg ropp. Iron maiden isn't even close yet.

Now I'm going to have to wait and see on SW vs. GOTG. I'm 99% sure my wife will agree to one of our current pins getting swapped out for GOTG because she loves the movies. She's more lukewarm on SW although it is one of my all time favorites. I do love the humor, action, and characters in GOTG also so I hope it turns out great and I have a tough choice to make.

So when will Stern announce the next one?

Quoted from frankmac:

CGC is on fire 100%!!!

Quoted from PtownPin:

Does it really matter what their next theme is? We all know there is a good chance it will be over priced and the market will be underwhelmed with the product. Typically competition breeds quality and innovation. JJP and CGC products are innovative, fun pins, both provide excellent support, and the quality is 10X Sterns at the moment.

I'm not sure how CGC modding old games is innovative. I think they have done a great job, but it plays pretty much like the original with some extra bling modding. Doesn't qualify as "innovative" IMO.

CGC has done a A+++ job like it or not!!!

I said they did a great job. I'm sorry I didn't sufficiently worship them.

Although the layout is similar, the mechanisms (Groot), ramps, etc. seem unique to the game and would all require appropriate R&D engineering work, prototyping, and production. However, using a similar layout/design and limiting the number of unique components would save some R&D effort I'm sure.

Quoted from benheck:

It's Iron Maiden.
Stern and other companies CLAIM to not listen to Pinside, but that's to keep you guys from realizing you can basically WILL game into existence.

Then I’d to will Stern to stop doing tired 70’s and 80’s themes and this is coming from someone that is turning 50 this year. I hope they dont do Jaws, Goonies, geriatric bands, etc. I would be in favor of Despicable Me, Wonder Woman (wait for the 2nd movie and include both please), Justice League (wait for a 2nd movie for more content), new Star Wars (wait for 3rd movie), Mission Impossible, etc.

Quoted from MinusWorlds:

I don't see how that could make economical sense from a licensing perspective.

We're customers; why concern ourselves with what makes economic sense

Quoted from EightiesArcade:

I agree with the masses and say Wednesday is the best new pin. With Operators in mind attracting a crowd #50 years after Bond

The Netflix show Wednesday would be a great theme but these games are years in the planning/licensing are they not? Netflix cancels shows faster than you can launch a pinball machine. Hard for them to target a viral trendy show/theme in a timely manner. Almost forced into doing classics or themes with staying power.

Might be saturated in 2023 but I couldn't easily buy one used for less than NIB MSRP in 2022, so that would imply a shortage of this popular game relative to demand.

Given all the IP associated with Addams Family, I'd put it in the mixer and come out with 2 or 3 variations. It carries across multiple generations and includes the original show, live action movies, comics, animated cartoons/movies, and the virally popular Wednesday show. I've read of some IP challenges in the past but there is a large body of work there to make use of. It would be hard to believe that no one is working on securing it and trying to put it on their new release roadmap. And, if they aren't, it is a lost $$$ opportunity. You run the risk of being compared to the immensely popular original, but with modern technology, I believe the a new one would quickly supersede the original and even help drive interest and attention in the mainstream press.
