The next Stern game will have a $600 topper.

1 week later
#228 3 years ago

Next Stern machine will be incomplete code and $600 topper

#235 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Sure sure, and it will have 4 legs and some pinballs in it; tell us something we don't know

Aerosmith in the Fall and Star Wars in March 2017 based on episodes 4,5 and 6.

#237 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

I said something we DON'T know!

Most people still think "the Force Awakens" as the Star Wars pin that is due out. 3 more years for the new series to have its own pin.

#238 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

I said something we DON'T know!

There will not be an Iron Maiden pin. How about that?

#241 3 years ago

For fall of 2017?

#242 3 years ago

I'll say that will be Justice League.

#243 3 years ago

I really want a RUSH music pin !!

#249 3 years ago
Quoted from kst8cat:

But they already have pins based on Episodes 1, 4, 5, and 6. What they really need to do to bring balance to the Force is make one for Episodes 2 and 3 next.

DE Star Wars was a generic themed game. Nothing specific in the game that ties in with all the different movies, other than some artwork. 3 years from now we'll see one for the new Episodes.

#250 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

We can only hope it comes out as great as Avengers!

Sounds like a bit of

#259 3 years ago

I guess the question now is will the Batman remake come out before or after Aerosmith. I am thinking after.
I am betting Stern will load up the production line with one more run of MET and Star Trek before they are completely off the production line before Aerosmith starts shipping.

#262 3 years ago
Quoted from TigerLaw:

Surely Stern will make a bunch more Mets before they are out of the license.

3 year production should end this year. Time will tell if they will push more out to distributors even if there are no real orders for them. Would be wise of them to do so.

1 week later
#283 3 years ago
Quoted from jawjaw:

I know the consensus is acdc is the best seller but MET has to be up there especially since MET has the better pro. Seems like it's easy money to keep production running.

Both are average games to me. Each has its cool features though.

For me, I hope Star Wars 2017 will be a big hit.

#285 3 years ago
Quoted from Ripley:

Is Star Wars confirmed or just a rumor?

Everything is a rumor until Stern makes an official announcement.

#287 3 years ago
Quoted from Ripley:Do you think Star Wars will be next?

March 2017.

No! Aerosmith it is!

I think I would want one more than a GB.

1 week later
#342 3 years ago

Music themed machines I would be interested in the most are Rush, Van Halen and possibly Bon Jovi.

#349 3 years ago
Quoted from Pickle:

No Bon Jovi....unless we get the power to turn back time.....

How do you explain KISS getting done? They are older than Bon Jovi.

2 weeks later
#383 3 years ago
Quoted from jawjaw:

If Stern is doing Aerosmith with color display and top talent, it would be cool if they also did a retheme with a more modern band. Just change out the art, songs, and animations. Same for a new Star Wars pin.

I would not want a reskin of any of the previous Star Wars pins. I need this to be an original layout since I'm interested in buying one.

Quoted from jawjaw:

new Star Wars pin. One based on the original trilogy and another based on the new movies.

That is what I am hearing what will happen, though the one for the new movies is about 4 years out.

#384 3 years ago
Quoted from colonel_caverne:

Do you think SW is coming one day (next year)?

March 2017 reveal around Texas Pinball Festival time.

#386 3 years ago

vid1900, I think you are right that it will happen. 2016-08-21_14_29_47-pumkinhead_-_Yahoo_Search_Results_Yahoo_Search_Results_-_Internet_Explorer_(resized).png

#389 3 years ago
Quoted from colonel_caverne:

Ok this would be the annoncement of the pin

No. Only Stern makes official announcements.

Quoted from colonel_caverne:

So when would it be built according to you?

Just follow GB production and you can tell how they should roll out.
One month after a game announcement, Pros start shipping. Roughly, 2 months later, LE's start shipping. 3-5 months premiums start shipping, and who knows when pros could start up again.

Quoted from Arcade:

Got confirmation today from an industry insider that Steve Ritchie is doing Star Wars for sure.

To be announced at TPF? Based on Episodes 4,5, and 6?

#471 3 years ago
Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Based on Episodes 4,5, and 6?

Quoted from RobT:

That's what I've heard.

It is also what I heard a year ago even. I hope it holds true. And another pin in 3+ years based on the new series.

2 months later
#542 2 years ago

What's coming after Aerosmith but before Star Wars?

The next Whizbang pin seems like it will be announced at TPF in March.

If history repeats itself shouldn't the announcement be this week?

Based on?

I am thinking the next announcement will not be until Chicago Expo in October.

#903 2 years ago
Quoted from Hazoff:

24 is a great pin.

I like it and hope to have one someday.

#950 2 years ago
Quoted from Groo:

If history repeats itself shouldn't the announcement be this week?

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Based on?
I am thinking the next announcement will not be until Chicago Expo in October.

Quoted from Groo:

September 2013 - ST announced.
September 2014 - TWD announced.
September 2015 - GOT announced.
2016 - Batman 66, although I thought it was early September as well, it was October.

If any game gets announced in the remainder of September, I think it would be the reveal of the AC/DC Premium VE. A new game announcement I bet will be at Pinball Expo or a pinball show the week before.

Elvira 3 will happen. Gomez mentioned they are waiting for a Software Engineer to get freed up.

#1994 1 year ago
Quoted from vireland:

Certain terms are also useful for managing perception. "Revenue" doesn't necessarily mean pinball sales alone.

I would bet their $500 toppers and other accessories had some help in driving up the "revenue".

#2061 1 year ago
Quoted from frankmac:

Tuesday Maiden info.

We are beyond that now. What is the next game? Looks to be Deadpool.

#2064 1 year ago
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

I'm beyond that one too. What's next?

You have to wait close to summer before you can say that. Nothing official about Deadpool yet.

#2071 1 year ago
Quoted from frankmac:

Done properly with a led Joint topper that smokes?
Would any buy this pin ?

Would you regardless of what it looked like or how ever the game play felt?

#2072 1 year ago
Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Munsters and Beatles.

And.....beyond that?

#2074 1 year ago
Quoted from frankmac:

“Done properly”as stated..

Good luck with that.

#2078 1 year ago
Quoted from vireland:

Princess Bride is out there somewhere at Stern, too.

I would had picked that as a JJP game. Either way, that theme/title is not for me.

#2106 1 year ago
Quoted from pinballaddicted:

My distro just called and asked if I was sure that we want to pass on Iron Maiden LE. I was first on the list for an Iron Maiden LE when I found out that Stern bought the licence 3 years ago. With all my strength I said yes.. pass on Iron Maiden LE. First pass since Kiss LE in 2015. What a hard decision!..

Reason for passing is because you are not liking the LE game or the price?

#2121 1 year ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Steve Ritchie will have it soon!

Sometime in 2018?

#2129 1 year ago

2 months later
#2339 1 year ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

Nowish: Deadpool
Fall/ Winter 2018: Munsters
January: Beatles

When does Steve Ritchie's unlicensed theme and Brian Eddy's (licensed?) theme games work into the picture with Elvira on the horizon as well in 2019?

#2340 1 year ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

Late Spring/ Summer 2019: Godzilla?!

Just acquired the license, so unless a whitewood already exists waiting for a theme, I can't see this being a 2019 game.

2 weeks later
#2344 1 year ago

Deadpool is shipping and the Munsters is up next. Looking forward to what Borg and Dwight have in store for this game.

#2347 1 year ago
Quoted from frankmac:

Munsters or is it Godzilla?

Munsters!! I don't expect Godzilla until 2020, if at all. Too many games in the pipe for 2019 already.

#2351 1 year ago
Quoted from Micky:

Too many RUMOURS in the pipe for 2019 already.

Even though we may not know the title/theme to all the games for 2019, sure bet is on which designer's games are coming up.

What order these are in remains to be seen...Beatles, Steve Ritchie's unlicensed theme, Elvira 3, and Brian Eddy's game.

#2362 1 year ago
Quoted from DavidPinballWizz:

Is that a personal wish or a solid rumour?

Sounds like both. But for me, it does not seem that a VE is needed anymore with all the good titles that Stern has been putting out lately and how often the new games will start dropping.

1 month later
#2405 1 year ago

Beatles is pretty likely in Q1 2019

#2407 1 year ago
Quoted from J85M:

I’m more interested in when we will see Steve’s game and Brian’s

I'm hoping one of these will be revealed at TPF 2019.

#2411 1 year ago
Quoted from Goalie:

When do they usually announce Vault editions?

Just like any other announcement of a new game, when it is on the production line as some are being built.

1 month later
#2469 1 year ago
Quoted from NoQuarters:

Munsters is next.
Whats after that ?

The Munsters is all that matters.

Next Title is Black Knight 3000 !!!!!!!
Yes it’s true !

I suspect that will be revealed in April.

#2666 11 months ago

Even better. Can't wait to see some LCD animations.

#2683 11 months ago
Quoted from Sinestro:

Why? What did 2000 have to do with 1989?

Black Knight 2000 sounded better than Black Knight 2.

#2693 11 months ago
Quoted from Sinestro:

And 3000 sounds better than 3. So essentially, nothing to see here.

Black Knight's Revenge sounds better for the 3rd game.

Brian Eddy's game is up next. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us.

#2923 10 months ago
Quoted from BigT:

Is Elvira still slated for this year?

Fall sometime. Lyman is on the code.

#2925 10 months ago

With the designer rotation, I would expect another Elwin game around Spring or Summer 2020. Looking forward to that already.

#3363 7 months ago
Quoted from Graysonsdad:

That sounds cool but the timeline seems odd if Elvira is expected for Halloween. Shipping a Jurassic title mid August then announcing Elvira 2 months later? My guess was we would get a game announcement maybe at the beginning of July with a possible vault announcement in August (possibly no vault this year though). The theme doesnt do anything for me really but I'm excited to see what Brain Eddy has in store for us and my kid loves the Data East JP.

Elvira is not a cornerstone, so it may pop in anytime in the fall. Look how close the Beatles was dropped between 2 cornerstone titles.

#3366 7 months ago
Quoted from sataneatscheese:

I would agree with you, but there is some logic and analysis to my prediction and some circumstantial evidence that BKSOR was released early to give time for a cornerstone before Elvira.
~ Announcement dates and/or start of clubs
BatMan66- 8/29/2016
Aerosmith 1/4/2017 (128 days after BM66)
Star Wars 5/31/2017 (147 days after Aerosmith)
Guardians of the Galaxy 11/2/2017 (156 days after Star Wars)
Iron Maiden 3/25/2018 (144 days after Guardians of the Galaxy)
Dead Pool 8/3/2018 (131 days after Iron Maiden)
Munsters 1/12/2019 (162 days after Deadpool)
Black Knight SOR 3/25/2019 (72 days after Munsters)
That comes out to an average of 134 days between announcements. If we use BKSOR as the anchor for the last announcement, that would put us at 6 August. Tuesday seems like a bad day to do it, so I am predicting they back it up a week and release on 31 July//2 August... +/- 1 week and I am guessing the earlier of the dates.
You will note that BKSOR was release after a much shorter development cycle than the others... 2 to 3 months earlier. Depending on how you want to look at it, that was either based on poor Munsters sales, or a desire to squeeze another pin out before an October Elvira release. We have a confirmed Elvira release from Elvira herself, so I am guessing the short time between Munsters and BKSOR was due to the need to squeeze another cornerstone out.
Fingers crossed for Bryan Eddy... we love your other games and can't wait to see what you put out this time.

You missed Beatles in that summary.

#3370 7 months ago
Quoted from sataneatscheese:

True... but I'm counting it as a retheme...

Still was a new release.

#3373 7 months ago
Quoted from sataneatscheese:

Okay okay... if I count the Beatles as a full release then that would bring the average down from 134 days to 117 days. That would put us at Saturday July 20th, with a teaser stream on the 24th of July and a reveal and IGN article on 26 July. This would still fall within +/- 1 week of the original estimate.
We shall see.
Start pinching your pennies and start your Jurassic Park restorations!

Pretty good prediction. I think Brian's game will be announced 1st or 2nd week of July.

Quoted from Graysonsdad:

My guess is Eddy or Elwin next, then Elvira followed by Eddy or Elwin in January.

And sometimes pinball production schedules don't change. Who really can't guess it is Eddy or Elwin next? How about committing to one or the other? Afraid of being wrong?

GoT rerun is coming.

#3752 6 months ago
Quoted from Graysonsdad:

Triggered much?

Nope. It is just for fun.

#3754 6 months ago

I am pretty sure the law rarely agrees with anyone.

I am curious which rumored designer you think is up next.

#3758 6 months ago

Thanks. I was not aware of a recent Elwin interview. "Almost done" could mean the design is finished and ready for parts to be put on order.

I remember an older Elwin interview where he stated Beavis and Butt-Head is his dream theme.

#3762 6 months ago
Quoted from DS_Nadine:

I don't think this will ever get made and don't think it would translate well into a speedy game...
...nontheless I'd like to see it very much.

Have you played the Beavis and Butt-Head Future Pinball version? It is pretty decent and it would transfer to a Stern pro very well, though not so sure about a premium.

#4270 6 months ago
Quoted from Roostking:

What will be the next Stern?

Elvira would be the next one in October. Or do you mean after that? That then should be Brian Eddy's game, but would we see that before year end or in January?

#4275 6 months ago
Quoted from Tranquilize:

Personally don't get it. A remake of a pin that was modeled on a film from 1993.... Why?
