Quoted from frankmac:What do you think or what would you like the next Stern pinball machine to be?
Besides Aerosmith, PBR and Star Wars?
Quoted from bigdaddy07:I'm personally having difficulty getting excited about most of the prospects for the next Stern release. Iron Maiden would be the stand out exception and maybe Star Wars if its covering the original trilogy (which I highly doubt).
I need a break from games that I want to own. My resistance is weak.
Quoted from playernumber4:I am more concerned with what JJPs next unlicensed game is going to be!
I think you have many years to wait for that one. Stern will easily release 6-12 games before that ships.
Forgive me if it’s in the preceeding 1600 posts, but has anyone heard rumors of a Wonder Woman licensed theme. It seems like a good one.
Quoted from Grg:Are you saying they have the license for Led Zeppelin?
To paraphrase Mike Rowe, “The way I heard it”...
It has been discussed, on the record, by Stern employees. They previously entered negotiations for the license, but there were some delays etc and they decided to table it and move on to the next available option. If you recall, several years ago Led Zeppelin began a bit more licensing activity. Their music was the heavily integrated into a TV series and had some more frequent usage in movies and televised ads. The Stern negotiations were prior to that and the licensing took a while to develop due to the process Zeppelin was (is?) using. Plant, Page, Jones and the Widow of Bonham met infrequently and this could potentially stretch out approvals etc.
I’m still Hopeful.
Turtles is not a “no” for me, but I am not necessarily a fan of the theme or it’s music.
Stranger things could be pretty exciting. I’m sure it tough to get enough of the rights (actors, music, art) to get the feel of the show in the game. I hope it’s a great game and I look forward to seeing it.
Quoted from iceman44:You don’t buy 25 of them either. 1 will suffice
The entire Stern price hiking model is based on FOMO/Distros/Flippers.
That’s over now. What’s left will be the people that just enjoy pinball and that will lead to less sales and lower prices.
It’s playing out right now.
Possibly. I am curious to see where it goes. At current Stern MSRP, along with the new minimums they impose, nothing seems like a value at this time.
I’m looking forward to Houston and TPF this year to see if anything can get me excited at these new crazy prices.
