Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Aerosmith in the Fall and Star Wars in March 2017 based on episodes 4,5 and 6.

But they already have pins based on Episodes 1, 4, 5, and 6. What they really need to do to bring balance to the Force is make one for Episodes 2 and 3 next.

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

DE Star Wars was a generic themed game. Nothing specific in the game that ties in with all the different movies, other than some artwork. 3 years from now we'll see one for the new Episodes.

That's all well and good, but I just want to see Pinside's reaction if they were to do another one based on the prequels at this point.

Quoted from Rondogg:

Not to go too far back but isn't it supposed to be an original title Lawlor was working on at one point?
All indications point to Wizard Blocks. Haven't had a magic based pin since ToM.

Not to nitpick, but Pinball Magic by Capcom was released 3 months after ToM.

Quoted from pindan3:

I was in Dallas.........and they DID announce that Elvira 3 is in production!

Really? I didn't hear anything about it being in production now. I just thought they announced that it would be a future release and that it was currently in development. I attended the George Gomez talk and he said in an off-hand remark that Elvira 3 is probably a year out at this point. He said it in a way that sounded like he was just guessing or speculating, not that he was certain about that.

Next time they do a rock band pin, my personal preference would be Def Leppard. Lots of good pinball-playing tracks to choose from and huge album sales like previous bands chosen. Sorry but I'm just not all that familiar with Iron Maiden and Slayer.

Quoted from comment23:

Gary has already said that if they do vault editions, they would keep the technology on the same platform (SAM as in the case with LOTR).

I thought LOTR was Whitestar?

Quoted from J85M:

Thing is after TRON VE, what's the next title going to be? MET VE seems too soon, AC/DC & TRON where the two titles that where selling over their NIB prices, so it TRON does come next year there's no other titles demanding more than new in the used market.
LOTR is popular still but there where a lot of those made, Simpsons is still popular and current, another SM (homecoming/MCU) VE, other titles like CSI, 24 have seen their best years behind them, although they could be re-themed vault editions similar to BM66 just without the silly price tag.

When they run out of modern Sterns that make economic sense to do vaults on I sure hope they try doing a few classic Sterns like Stargazer for instance.

I'm seeing several recent posts talking about TWD vault. I had thought that game was still in production since I have a friend who just bought a new one a couple of months ago. Maybe that was from existing dealer stock. But regardless I don't think it would make any logical sense to do TWD vault this soon after production ending on a lengthy run to begin with. Wouldn't they want to give it some time and let the demand build back up on that title? Or would this just be another small run like they did with LOTR and TSPP over 6-year periods without calling them vault editions?

Quoted from jeffsarcade:

I was thinking about selling my AS and reacquiring MET. Maiden is my favorite band so now I'm torn.

In that case the only logical choice is to get all three.

Quoted from NoQuarters:

I like your guess. I think we see it before Welk.

This is the first I have heard about a planned Lawrence Welk Show pinball machine. I saw a few reruns of that show when I was a kid, but I didn't care much for it.

I heard it through the grapevine that the California Raisins just might be the next Stern pin.
