All this talk of another music game has me thinking I'd drop a lot of quarters if I saw a Beastie Boys machine, done up with a New York playfield, five boroughs worth of modes, Sabotage multiball, Intergalactic mini wizard mode, and No Sleep Till Brooklyn final wizard mode. Since we're dreaming and all.

We need a John Wick pin. Everything's a drop target. Shoot everything. That's the only mode.

Quoted from zaki:

please no back to future. old movie...we've had enough retro themes. the 3rd movie was horrible. why would anyone wanat that? do you wand flux capacitor and outdated car bash toy on your playfield? or old movie clips?

Yes, yes I do.

Quoted from JimB:

You guys missed the Nike shoe in the background of that Instagram photo above. BTTF confirmed

That's either a great hint or an even better troll, but that leg and shoe can't be there by accident.

#11108 3 years ago

Honestly I think Harry Potter would be better realized as a JJP. Their playfields are beautiful and would most likely pull off a HP world under glass better than Stern.

#11239 3 years ago

My distro has the new comic pin at 4K shipped, sure a pro is 1800 more but that's nearly 50% more. Personally I think it's great that there is an option for the casual home buyer at a lower price point. I don't see many used SW home pins for sale cheap, so people must like them at least a little. And the gameplay vids look like it's enjoyable enough as well.

Quoted from Saltimbanco:

I'll go out on a limb here, but how about a game we've never seen or even expected? That would be something..!

Something Excellent, or Bogus perhaps.

That's how you fix the flipper gap

I'm going back to Muppets, with motion Statler and Waldorf puppets topper that joke and taunt you. That has the potential to be really fun.

Quoted from MJR8peanut:

ive been told the puzzle might just be a puzzle

Based on Stern being involved with the TMNT Walmart swag pack, it may be just that as they branch out in product. They are a "lifestyle brand", after all.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Why can’t Stern assemble their puzzle faster?[quoted image]

Not my thing but;
[quoted image][quoted image]

I was just looking for the same image to post. One of the puzzle pieces looks like an action swoosh, leading me to think anime theme. Pokemon, Dragonball, something like that.

#14279 3 years ago

I'm not committed enough to the lifestyle to pay that for a puzzle.

You guys are smoking cow pies. Stranger Things is awesome and I haven't stopped playing it since I got it 14 months ago. It's AFM on steroids and fun as hell.

Truth. I'm looking for one to add to my collection (of one, but still..). Very addictive game.

Plus Frodo as a presenter. Good stuff. Another tease?

#15343 3 years ago
Quoted from PinBalt:

I missed that!!! What award?

I already forgot, haha. I believe he presented twice. One of them was Best Rules. He talked about used to owning a LOTR.

Quoted from BasementFacts:

Your (and many others here) point was that people who like any music made after 1985 are kids with no money. Also what station includes grunge with LZ and Doors?

96.5 Jack FM in the Seattle does. Hey, good music is good music.

#16492 2 years ago
Quoted from finnflash:

I think "The Boys" would be the only super hero pin I would own. So how about that one?

I can dig. Just as long as they let Karl Urban run free with all sorts of R-rated callouts, that could be quite entertaining.

If Carl Weathers can say it then it's acceptable.

#16611 2 years ago
Quoted from mbwalker:

Never even heard of Mandalorian until this thread. Just on Disney streaming (looks like it)?

Yes, just Disney+. That show has made Star Wars fun again.

#16930 2 years ago

Because the market is insane now and flipping for a profit is nearly a guaranteed backup plan if the game doesn't work out.

#17296 2 years ago
Quoted from chad:

Back on to the next Stern Title. How many flippers will this Mando have?

Probably 20% of the LE buyers.

Oh wait wrong flipper

Quoted from Cdonnerusmc:

Just found out its Our distributor being disgusting! They are choosing to sell the Limited Editions at $12,900.00. Smh.

Can you blame them when so many out there are buying and flipping, or purchasing older games for obscene money?

#17928 2 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

Let that bitch sit there and rot

It'll sell. People can make the choice to buy that or get one for 15K from a flipper. If I was Stern and had a finger on the pulse of the never ending posts proclaiming to buy LEs sight unseen based on theme, I would have priced them at 12.5K+ from the start. You wanna play the LE collecting game, well this is what it has become.

#18307 2 years ago
Quoted from BasementFacts:

My issue is not so much the end-user flippers, but the distributors who auction their LEs for several thousands over MSRP. They are abusing their privilege and making thousands off of Stern. And the ultra-rich are gatekeeping LEs. I'd like to see two changes. 1) Stern needs to update their distro agreement and make it forbidden to sell above MSRP. 2) If distro has more demand than supply, simply choose names from a hat.

Meh, let the distros and flippers play the LE speculation game if they want. If I like something and the price is agreeable then I get it, otherwise I move on.

#18326 2 years ago
Quoted from Pinchild:

Um yeah sure?
You have 2 pros sir.
These people are correct distributors are abusing everyone.

Yeah, sure. Market value may not match MSRP. These are luxury items, not necessities, and distributors are under no obligation to sell at MSRP. Same with other dealer (car, boat, jewelry, etc) situations. In the end, it takes a seller and a buyer to agree on a price to make the transaction happen. That's not abuse; that's just the market being at a higher level than you want it to be at.

If those are STERN Bobble Heads my question is do they Bob ?!

The Pro version does not.

GNR is pretty but if I were to choose which to play, Zep gets the nod.

Quoted from benheck:

Would make a great pin and hiring one person would get you half the voices.
But now it's owned by the Rat.

Stern's new President came over from Disney.

#23628 2 years ago
Quoted from Markharris2000:

...So he knows all about the crazy licensing fees they would charge!!!! LOL. But seriously, that might make him more aware of the less obvious do's and don'ts when licensing from Disney, to keep costs down to a minimum. It might be like a ala carte menu. every branded item costs!

I mean, Mandalorian came out like six months ago. Seems that working with Disney isn't quite the barrier some are thinking it is.

Claiming that there's 'no pop culture today' isn't constructive, it's silly. It may not be pop culture you like, but it's pop culture nonetheless.
