Quoted from Prince66cali:

You are mistaking my age range. Video games just dont translate well to pinball.

This is very short-sighted and incorrect. How does God of War, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Halo, etc..not translate to Pinball?! I'd say it translates easily as well as any blockbuster movie does. It translates better than some of the older themes we've seen like WWE wrestling, Monopoly, I could go on. What you say, simply does not seem to make sense. Perhaps you may have never played "story" driven video games.

Quoted from GoneFishinLvMsg:

Strong pass on all of those themes. Probably a good thing as I really shouldn't be buying any more pins due to space and wallet constraints.
Pokemon, though... I'd be hard pressed to even play something that lame in an arcade. Never realized there were so many teenaged girls on this forum.

Girls? Girls would actually be the last people to mess with Pokemon. It's primarily a boy thing (actually young man) and it's about trading cards or the video games. In the past, Millennials are familiar with it based on the 90's cartoon.

Quick info - statistically most Pokemon players & collectors are over the age of 18 per Nintendo's statistics.

I'm not saying it's not weird and I don't play Pokemon myself anymore, but it's the stats. I would play a pinball if they released it though.

My assumption is that it would be a pinball that sold poorly HUO, but did VERY well on location. It'd be one of the last pins standing on location.

Quoted from JToeps:

Pokemon is huge with girls. The whole thing is about cuteAF animals you take care of. That's why it's literally the most valuable IP of all time. Battling, Tending, Befriending, Adventure, Trading... it hits everywhere.
"video games are dumb and for boys" is weird 90s talk.

I will concede my wording came off too harsh and I misrepresented the point I was trying to make when I said, "Girls would actually be the last people to mess with Pokémon." When that is not the case today, nor what I was trying to convey. My point to the original poster, was Pokémon is not some simple "teenage girl thing".

Pokémon is for everyone, and statistically the 18+ crowd, per Nintendo. Which a lot of people don't really think when they think Pokémon. They think 10-17 year olds...or teenagers.

I don't know where you got the idea I was saying "video games are dumb and for boys". All I have are daughters and they play video games with me DAILY, but I'm not getting into that with you.

I obviously know everyone plays Pokémon at this point, but when Pokémon first released in the 90's it did not start with everyone interested.

Conclusion: This theme would shock people how well it does on location due to its current popularity across ages, demographics, etc.
