I would love a Jaws pin. Simply one of the greatest movies of all time..So Timeless.
That said..if they don't' have the movie assets and audio and video clips of Roy Schnider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw then its a huge missed opportunity..
might as well just make a generic Shark table or something from one of the million other shark movies like the Meg or something

Quoted from WODKA:

Is that Sting, Sean Penn and Donald Trump?

Sacrilege!
I now must challenge you to a Canadian Duel.. Choose your weapon sir! Hockey Sticks, Polarbear Swim, or Maple Syrup and Pemeal Bacon eating contest.
Specially after Neil Pert passed this year

Quoted from Utesichiban:

Exactly. With most of the actor's dead and the movie being so long ago, how tough would it really be to get the full license?

Well its a Spielberg Movie.. and its Considered the first Summer Blockbuster ever, and is ranked as one of the greats of all time.. Then there's estates for the actors that have passed that just don't care and won't license etc..Considering what a travesty the new ghost busters movie was, I'm not sure I'd rank Ghostbusters original Movie assets higher then Jaws original assets.

Shrug who knows

Quoted from TheLaw:

I assume he's making a joke, as the Jaws sequels are well regarded as some of the worst movies ever made. (?)

tongue and cheek devils advocate .. Funny tho i find bad remakes more damaging then bad sequels to IP .. but perhaps only to younger generations..shrug

Quoted from Chetrico:

The Warriors and a Scooby need to get made before I'm too old to see the balls.
[quoted image]

ya a scooby doo mysteries table would totally work.. have the main modes tie into solving different mysteries etc lots of potential on LCD screen to incorporate clips from best of episodes. A Coney Island at night theme could work, I feel like half the old scooby episodes were at somewhere like that or a mansion out in a swamp somewhere LOL

Quoted from RA77:

There is some interesting and wild Scooby fan art out there.
Scooby Doo is a super fun theme for pinball.
I think modern updated art with fun, sexy twist and some darkness / scary backdrops would be very cool. Have to have some great humour of course.
What would vote be classic vs modern ?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

definately classic. modern looks neat but it doesn't have mass appeal

Quoted from PappaDubz:

New video release by stern

off topic abit but Pinball FX3's version of this was pretty fun in VR. Now that they've seen how successful their William packs are on console they said they're working on brining their pro physics to all their original tables too. Tables like this one with the same physics as their latest williams pack would be fantastic for the vpin and vr players out there.

So that looks spectacular, if godzilla does get done my bet is its based new movies

Quoted from kermit24:

They have already said it’s the TOHO license. Remember when Charlie went crying to George Gomez when Stern swiped the license from them?

sorry no i missed where they specified it was TOHO..ah well this looks great and a pin based on the 4 godzilla/kong movies would have been amazing

#13149 3 years ago
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

This looks like more modern Godzilla CGI garbage to me. TOHO Godzilla classics or I’m out.

i don't' know in what world that trailer looks like garbage to anyone that's a fan of giant monster movies..but OK.

I do agree it definitively doesn't look like a dude in a rubber costume , but to me it looks to be the best of the new movies.

#13160 3 years ago
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

I just prefer the dude in a rubber suit. I’m not a fan of CGI even when it’s well done. There is something magical about live practical effects on film and it’s sad that all of the work and craftsmanship involved has become a lost art.

nah its totally coming around .. what use to be 'we can do this in post with cgi" is over..watch the series of documentaries about the filming of the Mandalorian and the blending of cg and practical effects.. in "The Volume"
Its the future of film making .. practical is irreplaceable for certain things.

shows alot
the disney gallery mandalorian series episode 5 is called practical and its all about bringing back practical effects

Quoted from Snotdoc:

UFC monster version will be entertaining but honestly how does Godzilla loose a fight when he can shoot fire out of his mouth? I get that King Kong has him beat in the brains department but still. Fire would win in reality.

Reality has no place in a discussion about Godzilla and King Kong

Quoted from Kkoss24:

How about a comic version of LotR.Seems to be the trend anyway .

I'd prefer a more detailed art style like Classic Lotro artwork, but I'd still prefer a comic version then the photoshop original style
