Quoted from Rizmo:

I think a Mario pin would sell very well

I am in my 30's, I have no desire for a Harry Potter pinball. I would rather have a BTTF pinball hands down.

I agree with others that said you are likely a minority in regard to Harry Potter. Plus, I'm thinking not a lot of 30 year olds are buying NIB machines anyway. This theme would also have most people's kids be excited.

Quoted from Utesichiban:

I read the book years ago and saw the miniseries years ago as well. It would be cool if FX is remaking it.
The story of the English ship captain (anjin) is fiction but the context is based on actual Japanese history. Ieyasu Tokugawa consolidated power and brought the feudal Japanese daimyo samurai to heel thus becoming Japan's first Shogun (Tokugawa shogunate)
It was at that time he moved the capital from Kyoto to Edo (Tokyo) and banned foreigners and trade (known as the sakoku jidai or closed period in Japanese history). This was born of fear the Europeans would use Christianity and their militaries to colonize Japan.
The film The Last Samurai was based on the period in the 1860's-80's when Japan was forced to reopen its borders to US and foreign trade. They soon realized they had fallen so far behind the west technologically they rapidly industriallzed and hired military advisors from the US and Europe to train and modernize their military. That essentially marked the end of the samurai era.
Sorry, I love history but as a pinball theme, I'm not sure it works .

But samurai and ninjas! Besides Street Fighter do we have that in pinball? Don't mention Pinball Adventures.

Quoted from screaminr:

Yeah , that list is irrelevant , Back to the Future beats Top Gun in everyone of their stats .
And Blue Lagoon is in the top 10 , Brooke Shields is hot as hell , but really .
[quoted image]

Blue Lagoon was terrible.

Always best to fact check before posting .
Snake Eyes came out last year .

I've never heard of those movies. Were they any good. I see The Rock will take any role.

Quoted from Ecw0930:

Elvira?
Godzilla?
Rush? (Hahahaha)
There is a newer GI JOE movie than TMNT movie. There is also a resurgence of GI JOE videos going around as well as with the toys. They have become quite collectible and, while you may not think it's relevant now, that's exactly what NOSTALGIA is...
It's GI JOE.

And the granddaddy. Munsters. Someone already mentioned BM66. That only currently relevant comment was funny.

Quoted from KneeKickLou:

Wait wasn’t the internet invented for people to get worked up over stuff?

I did an internet search and the answer is porn. Who would have guessed?

I just come here for TV watching ideas. What We Do in the Shadows, never heard of it until today. Watching right now and it's funny as shit.

Quoted from Dwboca:

You did well. First movie in a while to catch my undivided attention. 2 adults and a 15 yr old sat and watched it. All enjoyed. 6 thumbs up

I have to check this out. Maybe tomorrow.

Quoted from Jigs:

That makes the mandatory Canadian 2 week quarantine that I did in my 31 ft airstream worth it.
Glad y’all enjoyed it!

At least that did some good.

#29585 1 year ago

OMG, I'm 5 episodes in What We do in the Shadows and cracking my shit up. Wouldn't make the cut for the next stern, but if only Homepin could do a tie in with Spinal Tap.

My dude! You ready?

I would be happy with the DE version.

Quoted from Pin_Fandango:

Come on Stern! make a Data East Vault! lol Throw LW3 while you are at it.

They have done a few. A new Tommy would be super cool.

Quoted from crujones4life:

I wish I could hop in my DeLorean and travel back in time to when I could get a real nice one for about $3500. Then travel ahead to when Stern releases BTTF and bring em both home.

Hell yeah, I'd ride along.

#29845 1 year ago

I'm with all you other early 80's born folks that absolutely loves BTTF. I like those other movies mentioned, but none were done near as well to have the staying power of BTTF.

An Elf pin would be so cool. Probably the only Christmas theme, except if Die Hard was done back in the day, that would work.

Quoted from SLAMT1LT:

Retro, music, trending... The Stern model, which seems to cover all the bases to maximize profitability.
Retro... Anything older than Justin Bieber is up for grabs (JAWS, BTTF are top of the wish list for many).
Music... If they can get The Beatles, they can get anyone (Ozzy Osborne, Pink Floyd, Van Halen... the sky's the limit here).
Trending... Hot new TV shows that the whole world is talking about (Rings of Power, House of Dragon, Cobra Kai... you know the drill by now).
Maybe, once in a blue moon, they'll throw in an original theme... but they don't sell well.
So, Bond ticks the retro box, now we move on to music or trending. The problem with trending, you have to strike while the iron is hot, so it can be a gamble. Retro and music are sure things.
My retro choice...
[quoted image]

The only thing people are talking about in Regard to Rings of Power is how bad it is and how much it cost.

Quoted from starfighter:

Hi Gary
Eastwood
Gaslands
Cornhole Challenge
Code name: Pencil
Code Name: Speed

What are these themes?

#34099 1 year ago
Quoted from starfighter:

Eastwood ... either Dirty Harry era films or the western era films
Gaslands ... a post-apocalyptic vehicle board game based in the Mad Max Universe (search youtube)
Cornhole Challenge ... a heads up game (axe throwing etc) designed for bar patrons

First two are really fringe. Anyone really care that much about Clint anymore? We have Dirty Harry already and I don't see much clamor to redo it. Gaslands could be cool as a non-licensed title and same for bar games (kind of like October Fest). I thought October Fest was a good idea, just not executed well.
