Give the music group pins a rest for awhile.
Tired of Rock pinball machines even though they sound great.
Bring on a nasty Porn/Pee Wee pin
Quoted from RA77:This is what most Pinheads want, where are they at ??[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Dang your correct on every theme!
Man we're getting old.
Nicely done.
Only critique would be that Crispin Glover is actually in the picture for BTTF.
Poster shown is not him.
If he was not to do it make me just as upset as DataEast and no Marty.
Interesting?
I bought LOTR new in box back in the beginning.
Head scratcher at the time between that and Simpsons.
Was a fun game no doubt but for me I never need to own it again. Got boring over time.
Hobbit on the other hand 4 me is a masterpiece I'll never let go of.
Weird right?
Love Stern machines as they are very very reliable.
Love Jersey Jack machines because they feel amazing and play great. Not quite as reliable though.
Hey that's Pinball Man.
I extremely disliked the Data East Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This is a terrible theme and I will definitely not buy one even at half price.
Perhaps it will appeal to 10 year olds back in the 80's.
Quite frankly I'd rather have a Shark boy and Lava girl pinball than this.
Please please please don't let it be any more Marvel or DC titles.
I would like a Pee Wee Herman machine!
I totally like the Lego pinball idea never really even thought of that.
It would be great if it was Not based on the movie then they can make a game like D.I. all original.
An original Lego theme would be amazing.
This sounds more like a job for American Pinball much like Hot Wheels idea.
Quoted from Thunderbird:Yes, Joe Kamikow has eluded to it twice now in 2 different interviews. Think BTTF is coming and I’m first inline for that one. Fun title with all kinds of possibilities, with a modern 2020+ take on it. Should be a big seller for Stern/Kapow.
That is exactly what I sold my Dataeast version recently.
Oh it's coming.
Quoted from SLCpunk2113:I’m happy when themes miss me. Don’t have enough money to buy 5 games a year.
I like your well rounded collection.
I totally know what you mean by unwanted themes as I totally agree.
Quoted from captainadam_21:What a hobby. $4000 is considered lower cost for the general public.
Yes. 4k is dirty cheap I the year 3057
Quoted from Psw757:My thoughts exactly of the last 3, time for a good one.
Couldn't agree more.
Don't get me wrong I do like Stern but tired of the title choices.
Munsters was my worst NIB purchase to date.
Quoted from Thunderbird:Let’s see just googled top 50 rock bands of all time:
1. Beatles
2. Pink Floyd
3. The Who
4. Rolling Stones
5. Led Zeppelin
GNR didn’t even make the top 50 cut, although Slash is quite the guitarist for sure....[quoted image]
I agree all those bands are better by a mile.
I'm talking pinball funability!
A game where you want to play over and over again.
Quoted from pinmister:Lots of pinsiders logged in for this early in the morning? Is something going on?
Wakee wakee eggs and bacee
Everyone's waiting for a glimpse of the new playfield to put in their orders.
If it looks amazing I'll probly buy one as well
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:This is an internet forum (during a pandemic). Whole lotta negativity to be found
My personal negative comment wasnt based on gameplay. I think itll play fine as this layout is nithing new. Thats my negative takeaway. That ive already seem several versions of this layout. Inlove this layout and several games that have it. Do i get excited to see a new game with it? Not really. Its just a bummer that the guy considered the king of pinball just calls it in. Just retire if you dont care anymore. End rant
Pat's games are better.
By a mile
Quoted from Bcrowe:Yes, pull the plunger. I plan to get rid of one game to help finance a pro. I have to let Roller Games or Bride of Pinbot go. Hate to do it but I think LZ will be worth it.
I really miss my Rollergames
Ditch Bride easy to get another down the road.
Good Rollergames not so easy.
Roller Games! Roller Games!
Head for the Wall!
Quoted from frankmac:Premium
Pro
LE
As far as cab and head art work goes.
The pro is growing on me fast.
[quoted image][quoted image]
I have Jukeboxes in gameroom and album III would be a sweet addition.
Pro all the way!
If I grow a pair and buy it.
Quoted from Goronic:JJP always "looks" leaps and bounds better than Stern. But Stern is about the fast gameplay and licenses. GnR is way, way out front in the fit and finish department. Zep should still be fun to shoot.
That's why I bought both
I get that we are all let down by the playfield but it's friggin Zeppelin guys.
Jump in the waters warm.
I stated a few pages back it would be another Rolling Stones pinball and I got tons of hates.
Ummm
Was I correct?
Bought it anyway.
Love the Pro cabinet its amazing.
Quoted from JimB:Wonder what Stern would charge if someone had unlimited funds to make their dream theme. Not Welk of course but something that Stern would sell tons after creating number 1 for that person. Would it be a crazy number to do it?
I know someone who can make anything you can dream up but problem is the 50k or there abouts
Quoted from fooflighter:Here's My "Take my Money Now!" Wishlist in no particular order except BTTF wins it all...I just turned 48 for reference
Music Pins:
Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Cage the Elephant, Queen, Weezer
Movie Pins:
BTTF, Superman, Christmas Vacation, Jaws, Matrix, Die Hard, Mandalorian, Top Gun
Video Game Pins:
Call of Duty, Halo, Mario, Half Life, Doom, Need for Speed
Just turned 48 and agree with many of your movie picks.
Superman would be preferred if it was the ones we grew up with.
Quoted from RPZ:From what I heard, end of April, beginning of May.
I'm told new week new game announced
Quoted from BasementFacts:Pinball is probably one of the only hobbies where you *don't* want them to release what you want.
That is exactly how I feel.
Quoted from drfrightner:Let me just say this I HOPE its NOT Mando for several reasons... Stern just made Avengers for the second time, on top of Deadpool, Spider-Man and all the other Marvel themed games. Enough already do something else.
Now getting to Star Wars, please NOT AGAIN how many are there already like 5 or 6?
Again do something different.
There are so many options out there which would be so much better than retreading the Star Wars universe AGAIN!
Why can't Stern do: Caddyshack - Animal House - Blues Brothers - Airplane (a comedy). Where is Fast and Furious seems perfect for pinball. How about an 80's movie like Ferris, Fast Times, to Home Alone.
There is a lot bands never covered like Nirvana, Queen, Mötley Crüe, to action movies like Diehard, Planet of the Apes, to Mission Impossible.
Why do Star Wars again?
It's is Mando
Glad because I'm not ready to drop more $.
Some of the ones you listed sound cool.
I'd buy almost any 80s theme.
But rest assured it Mando
Quoted from Thunderbird:Sure hope Stern doesn’t milk us LE buyers doing over 500. 500 is the limit. I purchased one of the 800 SWLEs and this many years later, hard to sell if one wanted to. They are aplenty and 800 is too much for an LE. JJP LEs at 5000 is an absolute joke and insult to us as buyers. Nothing limited about 5,000 in pinball that sells for over $10k and we’ll see GNR LEs flooding the market at a loss in the future. History will repeat itself as it always does when the numbers are too high on so called collectibles.
Very doubtful you will ever see GNR flooded and going for cheaper as it's one of the best pinballs ever made.
Fact they already when up 1k and are still selling.
Bag on Sterns next release I'm going back in time to 1981 and buying Haggis Fathom Remake.
Should be a blast even though I've never played or seen one ever.
All in Haggis.
Think outside the box you guys and go get Haggis Mermaid before they are gone!
Dang relive the 80's already.
We already have newer titles so go go go get your Fathom before it's to late.
FYI
I have many Stern and JJP machines
Quoted from PinMonk:You completed all 7 modes, WOF multiball, 4 trip multiballs (not to mention the big money, wild card, super modes, etc) in a single game in 2 days? That must have been some play session.
Or were you playing launch code? The launch code was VERY incomplete, but I liked the EM-like chimes they took out in the later versions. WoF v5 or 6.02 are both better than current Munsters.
Comet is better than the Munsters
Quoted from Thunderbird:This is a completely subjective statement and incorrect by most of us that actually have owned this title over the long haul. John Borg did a stellar job with this pin, but Dwight fumbled the ball in not giving it proper attention to code like he has on all his other coded games. This is the thing that sticks in most people’s craw. Sales of the game have proven it is not a terrible game, rather the opposite of your personal opinion. It is presently a highly sought after game by many people that now realize they have been duped by the vocal negative few here on pinside that portray it as bad, because it is not what they were expecting. Many wanted it to be Batman 2.0 and I was one of them too and thought a great deal more Munsters material should have been included in the game. But the game itself, is great fun to play and is exciting, not boring in anyway. I don’t buy the narrative some keep spouting that it was coded to be like an old B/W shallowly programmed game. Don’t buy that for a second at pricing of $10k. When all other $10k Stern’s get oodles an oodles of programming. Case in point: Munsters got to 1.03 and TMNT is 1.41, both coded by Dwight and both are the same price of $10k. Dwight did the same thing on all his other games, although GB took forever. Dwight has shamefully neglected Munsters in a major way and this alone has really put a bad karma over his coding now, to where many will not buy a Dwight coded game for fear he will not support it, just like he did to Munsters. The only way @xavery or Dwight can correct this travesty is to give Munsters the proper attention it deserves, since we all paid the same for both TMNT and Munsters. Stern would have not sold any Munsters if people thought they were going to give it such little coding attention as they have.
The game blows
Quoted from Pinball-Obsessed:Dang you almost convinced me to get a Munsters!
Seriously though, I could see myself owning one. I really like the theme and I love the characters and the artwork. It wouldn’t be any different than a pin like T2 which I do own and happen to love despite it not being a very deep code. Love the theme and it’s always fun to play.
Damn now I’m convincing myself to buy a Munsters!
Oh you'll regret that decision.
Quoted from UNCgump:Maybe people are too ashamed to admit they bought a shitty game about a shitty 50 year old TV show no one cares about.
Good show.
Game was to easy and I really didn't enjoy owning it other than the Art.
Well? It shot extremely smooth but was also very very very boring.
Quoted from PinMonk:Only because you're used to seeing bare Sterns recently. It will be interesting to see how much trickles down to the Pro and how much of that actually DOES something, but at least Stern is trying a little, maybe(?) with this one?
That said, brace for the price increases...
No Price increase
Quoted from Flyfalcons:Meh, let the distros and flippers play the LE speculation game if they want. If I like something and the price is agreeable then I get it, otherwise I move on.
Um yeah sure?
You have 2 pros sir.
These people are correct distributors are abusing everyone.
Quoted from SLAMT1LT:Schwartzennegger needs his own tribute pin, he's too big to just have a single pinball game based on a single movie. One epic pin dedicated to all his best movies, packed full of his best lines.
Single Pin?
Quoted from frankmac:JAWS and BTTF and I have everything I want. Until I want something else..
Well said.
I have not been in this thread forever. It dawned on me that the new Netflix release Wednesday would be an awesome title as no one would be willing to remake the Addams Family.
