Quoted from atum:We get it... You bought a game, and it didn't turn out to be what you wanted it to be. There are people wanting and buying these games all the time. I see them go on and off show room floors around here when people buy them. Is it a game for the most avid player, or people with a small collection that are in to pinball? Probably not. But does it have a place, yes. I enjoy playing a pro that we have at an arcade here every once in a while, as its a nice change of pace from the deep games that exist elsewhere. Is it very shallow code? Yes, but that was 100% apparent from release and walkthrough with Dwight, he as much said that during that. So if you hear them all but say "This is shallow", and then complain about it being shallow, I don't know what else there is to say...

Dang you almost convinced me to get a Munsters!

Seriously though, I could see myself owning one. I really like the theme and I love the characters and the artwork. It wouldn’t be any different than a pin like T2 which I do own and happen to love despite it not being a very deep code. Love the theme and it’s always fun to play.

Damn now I’m convincing myself to buy a Munsters!

If prices will be raised on LE machines all the more reason to just go with a premium.

I mean I love pinball as much as the next pinsider here but at these ridiculous prices; why get screwed for more money on something that’s already over priced as it is? The Stern LE pins are a good investment (if the game is good) but not if you are starting from over MSRP. Too much risk.

Stern will happily inflate the prices now because JJP opened the door for that but I’m sure we won’t be seeing JJP like games from Stern.

Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

Why do you think LEs are a “good investment”? I don’t think that’s been proven at all. Some retain their initial $ value, and some most definitely do not. It seems more likely that when an LE sells for anything near purchase price it’s usually modded to the gills.

I just meant someone would probably do ok when it comes time to sell it. I definitely didn't mean to make money off of it... probably should've clarified that

This hobby is loads of fun and I love buying a new machine just as much as the next guy but these prices are getting just silly (new and used).

I don't buy a pinball machine to make money off it; I buy it to play it and enjoy it. Would I love to buy every game as the LE or CE, sure, who wouldn't!

I'm just really glad Stern actually makes the premium model and JJP makes the LE model machines because if you're just in the hobby to play and enjoy the game for all of the features in the game; then this is the way to go (IMO). oh sorry this is the Mandalorian thread..."this is the way"

If the Mandalorin pin is really as good as all the hype...I will most likely buy one.

Wouldn't mind an LE but I'll buy a premium model and I'll enjoy it just like I enjoy the Dead Pool premium pin and GNR LE (instead of CE) that I own.

And, I'll have absolutely NO regrets of NOT having to spend more money for the "same" exact game... minus some minor extras but mostly bling! Especially if people are having to pay through the nose because of supply and demand.

It'll be interesting to see how much money over MSRP will be thrown away just to get the Manadolrian LE.

Quoted from swampfire:

I’m not picking on you, but this comment and many others in this thread make it sound like all Pinsiders ever buy are premiums and LEs. I take the exact opposite stance: I’m a Pro buyer, until I see something that persuades me to upgrade, like way better cabinet/translite art, or a major feature that has a lot of value (like 2 more flippers and an upper playfield). But normally, I’m stubbornly pro-Pro. I do know that Stern would struggle if everyone was like me, so I’m not out to stop the LE hype train. Just making observations.

No worries. I just like to have all the stuff in the game. I would buy the right pro... not against it at all. In fact would love to save the money too!

I debated on DP pro or premium because, although I didn’t hate the premium artwork, I really preferred the artwork on the pro. But, I went with the premium because even though theres not a huge difference in the gameplay I did not want to miss out on the extras. It did suck to spend an extra $1500 (I think that’s what it was) for it but I was happy with my decision and the premium artwork is really cool... it really grew on me after I bought it.

If Munsters was better coded I would own the pro. Because even though the difference between pro and premium is substantially more (compared to DP) I don’t really care for the lower mini playfield.

It’s good we have options!
