Here is mpdpvdpin telling every other pinsider about their musical taste

Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Here’s what I (and many others) think of Rush:
Rush is what actual musicians like to refer to as a “Jack off wank band” …too many f’n notes, too many solos…style over substance. Flaunty Jaunty nerdy faux musical wizardry. These guys never got laid. Being a Rush fan is the equivalent of getting a hard on doing long division. They are the exact type of band that will wow the laymen and bore the studied. There is a reason Rush never broke the US/Canadian market…
Prog bands that are actually good:
King Crimson
Magma
Soft Machine
Premiata Forneria Macaroni (PFM)
Ill Baletto di Bronzo
Alphataurus
Captain Beyond
Hawkwind
Yes
For real fans of the prog genre Rush doesn’t even place in top 100.
Just my opinion as an avid record collector, dealer, DJ and published author on similar subjects.
There is beauty in our differences however and more power to you if Rush gets the blood flowing’ in your bone. I guess, haha.

Quoted from Prince66cali:

Stop messing around and make Back to the Future or Goonies. Or Mallrats, "I think the audience would agree with me on that one."

Mallrats? That would be near the bottom of Smith movies that should be made into a pin. Clerks or Dogma first..hell even Yoga Hosers first.

Quoted from Prince66cali:

To Chasing Amy Fan: Yeah. No. Clerks or Mallrats 1 and 2.

Um, continuing your undefeated streak of being wrong, Chasing Amy might actually be behind mallrats. The shit monster would be an outstanding bash toy.

Quoted from Prince66cali:

Undefeated? Oh you must mean the string of OSU coaches who have been involved in scandals. The Vest and The Finger. All Stars.

No snappy pin related comeback, just shit talking a username? Guess you got me.

Quoted from screaminr:

Isn't the shit monster from Dogma or Weird Science?
Either way Prince 66 has found some crack inbetween the couch cushions
[quoted image][quoted image]

I was thinking the first one from Dogma, by now you mention it, I could be onboard with Weird Science and Chet

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

I have no idea, I just know that as things stand, I'm gonna be SOL finding an LE at MSRP if my local distibutor is any indication.

Depends, Zeppelin LEs were available at MSRP from distros after was shown..lol, depends on how much people hate the pin before it’s actually available.

Quoted from crujones4life:

Foofighters...man I'm really surprised by this one. Is this anyone's favorite band? Just seem like a very average band.

FWIW, they were just inducted in the Rock n Roll hall of fame this year.

All art (including music) is subjective to the audience and you will never make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. I find your work fantastic a selling point on FF and other pins (also very cool that you have worked with FFs before with their show posters)

I can imagine it must be hard to pour that much effort into something and then hear people say they don’t like it. I would say well over 95% of the responses to your work I have seen have been very positive, focus on those instead of the ones who don’t find your art to be their preference.

Just my 1/2 cent.

Quoted from zombieyeti:

Not to derail this thread btw - I’m seriously curious: What defines my ‘style’ and what don’t you like about it?
Legit question as all I ever try to do is spend every second I can squeeze out of a schedule trying to prove that you can create unique and interesting composition and drawings that hopefully look like they’re worth the price and are thoughtful to the subject at hand. There’s more - but that’s the basic gist…
But something about that is unlikeable to you so I am curious. Not trying to be a dick - legit trying to understand in case I’ve been wasting my life
I haven’t had a vacation in 10+ years as a result btw. So I really do question my efforts. This could help!
