Quoted from FalconPunch:Iron maiden Deadpool Munsters
I'd be in on a Munsters

Quoted from Who-Dey:If they could just make Elvira 3 and The Munsters i could complete my collection and be done and save tons of money.
I'd be on board with both those titles too !
Elvira would be top of my list of rumored games. I would like to see a Munsters also as was suggested by another.
Would like to see Elvira produced for sure.
Munsters would be a top choice for me if they did it in the future ...
Quoted from ahdelarge:Stern will be doing Iron Maiden, Deadpool and Munsters. Throw a Vault Edition in the mix and that's 2018. Elvira 3 is off the radar now.
If Munsters is correct - I'm in.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Elvira 3 will happen. Gomez mentioned they are waiting for a Software Engineer to get freed up.
Ok Stern - Then please get one freed up ! Elvira 3 needs to get happening .....
Deadpool could be good, but really excited about Elvira and Munsters should they be in the pipeline !
Quoted from frankmac:Dead pool
Munsters
Is what I have been hearing..
Looking good ! - add in Elvira after that.
Quoted from Macca101010:Is it Munsters.....hope so.
Ditto !
Deadpool and then hopefully Munsters !!!!
Quoted from Sinestro:Best I can piece together, this should be the order of Stern games through the end of 2019.
Fall 2018 - Munsters. This is currently the worst kept secret in Pinball
Winter 2019 - Beatles. Not 100%, but the rumors are strong on this one.
Summer 2019 - Steve Ritchie's unlicensed game. Ritchie has said on more than one occasion that his next game is unlicensed, and that he's having a blast making it. Summer 2019 would be two years since Star Wars, and approximately Ritchie's turnaround time.
Fall 2019 - Elvira 3. Cassandra Peterson and Dennis Nordman revealed this game was in the works at TPF 2017, and Gomez confirmed it at TPF 2018. A fall release makes sense for this theme (ala Munsters this year) and Cassandra has also mentioned this date recently. Set phasers to kill, I think this one is a lock for next fall.
Of course, there will be a VE next year, and always the chance of a home or boutique pin as well.
What do you guys think? Solid guesses, or malarkey?
Pretty Close :
#3 for this year .... Munsters Nov 2018
2019:
1. Elvira Spring 2019
2. Beatles Summer 2019
3. Title TBD by Stern production progress etc - could be one of several
X. One Vault in 2019 - timetable flexible
Why would anybody want a pin based on Toyotas economy car ?? Prius really sucks. Sorry econo gas mizer drivers.
Not my idea of a good pin theme.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Brian Eddy's game is up next. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
Holy Cow - I can't buy everything that comes out ! Lot's of good games keep appearing. Seems I want them all.
A Brian Eddy game could be really neat. It will be interesting to see what he does.
Bring on Elvira. Jurassic would be good too. I'd like to see Elvira first so I don't go broke buying games. It would be a good wager for me though that Jurassic will be tempting too. Better plant another money tree.
Quoted from frankmac:Not sure who is on it. I have mix feelings on this theme.
Same here. But if the layout and artwork are really nice it might be decent. Would rather see the next one be Godzilla.
Really waiting on Elvira in October though..
Special whitewood edition of something. No clear coat concerns. Box of crayons included to add your own playfield art if wanted.
Somebody suggested Get Smart in another thread. That would be a theme I'd like. Cheech and Chong would be good too.
I think the general rumble is we will see some Turtles next. Of the current rumored future titles Godzilla has the most appeal to me personally.
Quoted from chad:Lawrence Welk would be hilarious. Live Bubble Mod.
and a one a and a two a multiball .
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:It seems everyone thinks it will be Led Zeppelin. I’m holding out for a JAWS. Fingers crossed. I’d also be interested in a Godzilla...especially if they did Godzilla vs Kong (that’s supposed to be the third and final Godzilla film).
I'd also like to see Godzilla.
No more music pins for awhile for me , unless it's Borg doing Lawrence Welk.
Quoted from cpr9999:Unless it’s Borg doing Queen
No - I think he is working on Welk. It was pushed off quite a number of years. I think it's finally coming.
Said it before ...
Unless it's Borg on Lawrence Welk - I don't want to see another music pin for awhile.
Quoted from cpr9999:Your right!
Just announced.[quoted image]
I bet you have a deposit in already on an LE !
Quoted from zaki:i hope it's not jaws. we've seen enough of the old themes with Elvira, willy wonka, and alien. please stop. no desire for jaws, back the future, goonies, etc. they are old and washed up themes. jaws played in 1972 or something like that. it's just too outdated, nobody cares anymore. i like jp, but don't get why its not Jurassic world. hey, i don't like stranger things show, but i give stern a pop for making it and games of thrones, walking dead. thing people have actually watched in recent years.
rock games, marvel or dc, and monster stuff are good ideas. those themes work well. busy the old movie crap.
More Current like My Little Pony ?
Quoted from cpr9999:These old popular themes work with the age group with cash (usually). Like people that own GB or Batman!
Gunsmoke
Festus face on the backglass giving the the big one eye side glance.
Quoted from chuckwurt:I’d hope for Godzilla. That actually has a shot of being made by someone.
Yes - want to see Godzilla.
Quoted from cpr9999:It is. Queen will be it!
Only music pin I would be in on would be if it's Borg on Welk.
Quoted from cpr9999:The other one Borg is working on Buddy Holly pinball. “That’ll be the day” When Borg releases the machine!
I don't think they have the license for that.
Holding out for Lawrence Welk. It might be the first time I'm in on a topper. Bubble machine ...
I might even be in on an LE for Welk.
Quoted from gmanrulz46:when the ball drains..... the goodnight song. lol
The plan is to use the Goodnight Song for end of game.
Quoted from TheModalorian:What do you guys prefer? Godzilla? Jaws? Bond? Back to the Future? Or Zeppelin? Which are your top two themes? I'm going with Bond and Jaws
#1 Godzilla
#2 Lawrence Welk
#3 Godzilla meets Welk
Don't be fooled, Doubt's on it being Harry Potter, what they are actually holding back on is Lawrence Welk - but I don't think it's got anything to do with Kapow anyway.
Don't get too jazzed up though. Welk is not imminent, it would be sometime down the road.
Quoted from PinMonk:I'd be much happier with Queen over Zep. But honestly, I don't envy ANY music pin coming right after GnR. That bar has been SET.
Wait for Welk !
Quoted from Vitty:Are we gearing up for a reveal this week!? What's the word? I see ballpin thinks we are. This has me excited at the very least. If it's Zeppelin I'm going to have a hard time pulling the trigger on the AC/DC BIBLE I plan to grab Weds....hmmm
Hold out for Welk.
Quoted from Dicky:All this talk about LZ I hope it comes through for a lot of you guys
Me I hoping for different music title ,one day it might happen
Welk
Quoted from cpr9999:Godzilla
Godzilla would be good. High on my list. Welk could wait.
Oh, I thought it was tofu ! - that's really scary stuff and tastes nasty. Soy sauce only thing that can kill it.
I'd take Toho or Tofu Godzilla.
Quoted from skink91:So... Lawrence Welk is next?
I'm thinking the artwork might be better.
Probably not next in the que though. Be patient.
Quoted from kst8cat:This is the first I have heard about a planned Lawrence Welk Show pinball machine. I saw a few reruns of that show when I was a kid, but I didn't care much for it.
Quoted from skink91:That’s crazy talk.
It grows on you.
cpr9999 thinks Godzilla might be next. I think that's a good wager, and yeah, I think we see it before Welk.
Nothing crazy about that.
Stranger Things is actually a pretty good pin. I didn't want one - the main toy is scary as it kinda looks like a plant vagina. If you get past that it's alright. I got one at a nice discount NIB not real long ago because of attractive pricing. Started playing it and like it. Had to stream the show and watched the first couple seasons and the pin made more sense. My son liked the show so I sent it to his house after I put a bunch of plays on it. Bullshit mode is my favorite but I only got it a time or two. Only comes up as random in Mystery. It's a fun pin. Just get past the looks of the toy and it's odd looks that blends plant and human anatomy.
Yeah - I think Stern could take a shot at another newer theme. Next one might do alright if executed well.
Personally there is some broad appeal classic stuff that can be done yet and Godzilla is one I'm looking forward to. Music pins could be a little further and farther between. I'm ok waiting on Welk. I know it's a ways off yet. Bring on Godzilla.
Quoted from Xaqery:We never grab licenses without plans to use them. Many of us have wanted to do Godzilla for a long long time. I can not speak to when the game will be made or who will be working on it. All I can say is that mudwrestling was involved.
Nice ! Wonderful. Godzilla is worth wrestling over.
By the way - I hope you are teamed up with Borg on Welk.
Quoted from PinBalt:Anyone notice Borgs name on that Zoom call? It was Huckleberry Finn. Who was his buddy .... Tom Sawyer .... #1 Rush song. Borg is doing Rush pin
I noticed that. I think John's trolling you a bit - more likely he's working on Welk.
Some Godzilla might be better than others i.e. Toho - but I'll take any Godzilla - even a Tofu Godzilla.
Tofu is some scary stuff.
Quoted from PinBalt:Anyone notice Borgs name on that Zoom call? It was Huckleberry Finn. Who was his buddy .... Tom Sawyer .... #1 Rush song. Borg is doing Rush pin
Finn could be a reference to a Mandalorian game too. But I still think John's trolling folks.
Believe he is on something else = A one ah and a two ah.
Quoted from skink91:As much as I loved Def Leppard and Motley Crue back in the day, I have less than zero interest in a pin in 2020 of either. I don’t even have a desire to hear their music anymore.
Agree - Wait on Welk
Quoted from cpr9999:I have my deposit in on Welk - when and if the title hits I am in for a LE !
In ahead of you for an LE and I will buy the Bubble Machine topper.
Pretty much in on most games with a Pro - but all in on an LE for Welk !
I can't wait to see what John and Dwight do with this game. Should be great.
I was under the impression he was working on Welk. Hope we're not being trolled with the Godzilla picture.
Godzilla vs Welk would be ok too..
John posting all that stuff, looks like it could be misdirection. John and Dwight on Welk I thought.
If he is doing Godzilla maybe it was theme switcheroo like what happened on Iron Maiden. John started off with Iron Maiden and it was passed off to Elwin. John had an Eddie head is his game and that became Groot and became Guardians of the Galaxy.
So maybe John is on Godzilla now and Elwin is on Welk.
Welk's going to be awesome. I had WWE at one time, not as bad as some people say. Actually was fun.
Welk could be too. Put me in for an LE !
Quoted from Huggers:So what's the vibe for the next game? Is Borg doing Godzilla nailed on? What's Elwin working on do we know?
See post #13271
..
Quoted from onemilemore:If we're talking international appeal, you could do worse than LEGO. Pull in from the movies/LEGO Batman. Game flow and objectives, plus toys, write themselves.
I think you may see some other company and not Stern do a Lego Pin.
All this talk of Comic editions. I don't think Welk will be a comic edition. But that's an interesting thought.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:As long as Stern makes the pin simulate going to a Welk concert or show taping, I’m in. The comic angle will work fine, since most people hardly recognize Lawrence anymore. Biggest unanswered question is whether Stern will limit the Welk pin to 10 full length songs or will they play all the hits? Also, will they hire Welk to record custom speech?
They can probably do some magic and utilize old recordings to make up the speech. Otherwise as typical with Stern they can use voice actors that are pretty close and sound authentic enough.
I don't think they will do Comic art to start with. Maybe if they run a Vault Edition later they may tap using Comic Artwork.
@ cpr9999 Don't send him any money. C.O.D. only. Ha ha.
He's not an authorized dealer for anything. Even Deeproot wouldn't have him.
Quoted from PinballAlley:I would love a Jonah Hex pinball.
And definitely with the Comic Art for that title. I could be onboard with that.
Quoted from Roostking:[quoted image]
Hoping that's the backglass/translite on the Pro !
I like your deductions but I believe most likely Borg is on Welk with Dwight doing code.
Unless Borg and Elwin switched games like what occurred with Iron Maiden. Then I suppose your math works !
Maybe they are just adding puzzles to their on line shop to go along with clothes, mugs and other stuff.
@ cpr9999
Excited about this title but I'm starting to wonder if this will not be a regular cornerstone and just be released on the cheaper 'Home Pin' architecture. Could be these are aimed at Assisted Living Facilities, Senior Residential Complexes and such. I'd still want one though even if it's just the 'Pin' version.
Hope it's a regular cornerstone game and I can finally buy my first LE. I usually take a Pro of most releases and have a couple premiums and a few nice vaults, but this title would be definitely worth taking a flyer and going all in for an LE.
Appreciate you posting the leaked pre production pic earlier. Looks like it will be really nice !
This will be a surprise winner for Stern.
welk pin (resized).jpgQuoted from transprtr4u:Bubble blowing machine not available in the pro model, I'm out
I think the bubble machine will be a topper per earlier posts. You could get one for a Pro but the question is how much will the topper be ?
This one could be even better than the Black Knight topper which is pretty awesome. Bubble machine topper could be pricey...
But yeah, you are right. Bubble machine is practically a must have.
Quoted from TheModalorian:It’s Godzilla. And I for one am very excited about it!
If it is Godzilla, and not Welk I'd still be ok with that. I could get excited about Godzilla too. Sure, Why not, I'd be in on either one.
Quoted from cpr9999:Whelk is code name for Jaws....look up Whelk....
But if they do make Welk - I am in on that artwork ---> baby!
That fish title is a Red Herring. The code name is Welk , not Whelk.
Hint - Orchestra and Lights ....
Go back aways - I told you they were going to sell puzzles -- see post 13861
Quoted from NoQuarters:Maybe they are just adding puzzles to their on line shop to go along with clothes, mugs and other stuff.
Quoted from skink91:What a bunch of cry babies.
Maybe some need to sit back and enjoy a good syndicated music show to help release some stress.
skink91 You know which one I am talking about.
Quoted from skink91:Nothing would kill a feeling of immersion into a Bond ‘world under glass’ more for me than having 4-5 different faces that are supposed to be the same person. Just my opinion.
1 Bond and 4-5 Women. Not 4-5 Bonds and 1 Woman.
Rather see Godzilla next anyway.
Quoted from skink91:Megadeth tunes are great pinball music too, and would be so easy to turn into wicked art packages and cool video clips.
Would you choose that over Welk ?
Man Accordion = #7 sounds a lot like another title being mentioned as a favorite...
Good Wager. Welk at the Wire.
Quoted from honkbahh:Lots of them have two incomes, zero kids.
Dinks
Double Income No Kids
@ Bmanpin - Posted same time - you beat me to it.
My wifes one brother and his wifs are Dinks - no offense to anybody.... Actually he just retired so I guess they are not Dinks any more.
Guess they are Oinks now. One income No kids.
Quoted from Roostking:What is the NEXT Stern Theme?
Quoted from transprtr4u:Lawrence Welk
After Godzilla
Quoted from chad:The thing is. We must keep mentioning Welk over and over. Will it into production.
This is in John Borgs queue .
No Rush on Welk.
Quoted from xyntec:Would be nice if Stern really did make a Welk pin, then maybe next time people are not that confident of 'reserving' all LE models anymore
Welk LE's will sell out as quickly as any other Stern title ! Gone shortly after official announcement. It will probably be my first LE. I usually buy a Pro of most Stern titles, but I'm all in for a Welk LE when it happens.
Most of that stuff is nonsense, but it is possible there could be integration of a bubble machine for the topper. Not like you think though. No soap bubbles. Likely will be done with lighting or hologram...
Quoted from cpr9999:This will be my top LE purchase this year - Welk.
Pre-reserved a spot![quoted image]
I know you make mods for other games. I'll bet you make one or two really good ones for this when it gets released.
Also the one off custom Munsters topper was very cool that you made for your game.
You might need to make a couple custom toppers for this one. Count me in and make two if you do it.
Quoted from cpr9999:Agree, Lots of us don’t even know Ultraman.
Stick to the 500 run and move on.
Until yesterday I thought Ultraman was somebody that drank a lot of watered down beer - Michelob Ultra.
Had one once, one time - just like drinking water !
Quoted from skink91:Good! Stern: more LEs for the US and CA please… AU has no interest.
Would they have interest in Welk ?
Quoted from cpr9999:Plus people are sick of being stuck in the house and they are out now - so that will cool prices!
So you want to play badminton the next time you come over instead of playing pinball ?
I'd be up for Lawn Jarts though if you got the original kind.... then we're still going back inside and play pinball.
Not hauling up a machine and putting it outside to play.
I think you are thinking of Hop Scotch - that would take a lot of beers before the neighbors see us doing that on the sidewalk.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:I have no interest in this insider connection BS.
On the other hand Weird Al’s Polka Party sounds like the best new title in a very long time!
Agree. Double Up vote.
Quoted from xyntec:Just disconnect? As long as the pin still works normally without it, then it is an option you can choose.
Going forward that reader and board will be in all games - has to add to game costs.
We will be paying for it even if we don't use it.
I would have rather had another spinner, pop bumper or something adding to actual gameplay.
Quoted from cpr9999:I guess we will see…not sure this is where I would have spent time and money investment. How about doing VOC before you determine what is good for your customers. These features have less to do with pinball and more about trying to find future sources of revenue. If you think otherwise, just wait and see down the road.
You do not do all this additional pinball hardware & software along with website development along with giving away things for free! There will be a revenue stream to this.
Agree - and a cost to the buyer of the machine. That board and reader have costs to Stern - passed on to the buyer. Somebody has to pay for it. These costs will start right away and be built into the costs of machines.
Not to mention what can happen associated with this down the road... future sources of revenue...
Sounds a bit like the pinbar - deeproot - UGH ! Say it ain't so Joe .
Unique user ID codes. Tracking us. Maybe we should wear tinfoil hats at shows ! - Ha Ha.
Quoted from Squizz:Oww did I hear Jaws?
[quoted image]
" You're going to need a bigger wallet "
Quoted from hiker2099:Wouldn't it be cool if "knock you on your ass" meant Karate Kid or Cobra Kai
Maybe it's the price hike that will knock you on your ass.
Quoted from playtwowin:[quoted image]
If that's the teaser for the big reveal count me in !
It's Godzilla, then Rush.
They took Welk from Borg and put it on Steve Ritchies plate. Steve got mad and quit Stern and went to JJP. Don't know if Welk went along with Steve or to the back burner in John Borgs que or if it is now just in Limbo.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:The online gimmick, could not care less for a home environment, I simply don't care for anything online on a pinball and this should be optional and not forced on all games.
I would take a shaker over the online gimmick any day.
The game looks cool though. I want to see it play but looks like a fun game.
Agree on the inter connect. If that is a $200 retrofit for other games - I'd rather have $200 in my pocket or other stuff for sure. Last thing I want is people waving their phones around in my house. They are invited to play pinball, not screw with their phones.
@ DeadFlip
Is the lock down bar similar to main run games or different ? What about the cabinet. I can see there are no coin mechs, but what else is different in a home pin vs a Stern Pro for example ? What differentiates the build or bom that makes the pin vs main production machines ?
Quoted from kool1:Ok - next to nothing going on with Elvira. Must be a big fan base somewhere.
Seems like there are so many better franchises to release or re-release.
Bigger fan base than you might think. There is a demographic for just about any decent theme. I bought an Elvira very early in the first run. Very enjoyable game and yeah - I like Elvira and guess you could put me in the general late baby boomer fan base. Elvira does have an audience.
Quoted from DthebodyT:I love this thread. I check it every other day, almost every day. I just find it entertaining and fun to read. Personally, I'm 1000% in on Rush or BTTF if one of them happen. Stern is king at this point in my opinion.
You will be happy because Rush is happening and it's next.
There will not be a BTTF pin nor will there be a Jaws pin. Those two themes are not happening.
After Rush you will see another Marvel themed game. Then Bond.
Quoted from swampshroom:I'm really trying to not get my hopes up but I'm so excited for a Rush pin! I've been following all the hype and rumors but I won't be convinced a Rush pin lives until it's released. I'm doing my part to will it into existence
[quoted image]
Coming soon.
Quoted from EchoVictor:Make sure you seek out a Premium or LE.
The Pro is terrible, as the 180 ramp for the third flipper has been removed and replaced with a dead-end stand-up target. Makes the third flipper kinda pointless. I understand you need to remove a few things to get the BOM cost lower on a Pro, but I would have removed the Zeppelin and the Icarus first wayyyy before losing that 180 ramp.
Here's to hoping that Rush follows the Borg formula of the Pro being pretty close to the Prem/LE gameplay-wise. I sooooo want one, but my wallet needs a bit of a break....
Later,
EV
Pro is great.
Long awaited Welk pin after many delays, having other games pushed ahead etc - has hit a big roadblock.
The Welk pin is no longer possible. Appears that licensing issues prevent any release.
Hopefully much of the design work that was finished can be used on another theme.
Quoted from littlecammi:It's those Lennon Sisters, isn't it? Do they want too much money for the rights to their image, or are they insisting Stern use recent concert footage (of them in their 70s) ?
No idea as to who or what assets or his estate or what. But licensing can be very tricky at times. I don't think people realize the scope of what Stern has to do to hammer out the licensing deals and all it entails. Big part of a pin making it to fruition. Sometimes stuff happens and a good project has to be scraped.
Quoted from cpr9999:I sure hope they can reuse the bubble machine topper concept.
That would be cool on another machine.
Maybe Jaws.
I think the topper was just rumor or wishful thinking. But I would bet the use of the actual playfield design and most of the mechs, layout etc will be reused.
Much like when Borg was originally on Iron Maiden and it became Guardians. Groot was going to be Eddie in John's design.
The development and work done on Welk will not go to waste.
