Me...

A Lego pin would be cool. Everything could be made of legos. Lego Batman, Lego super hero’s, etc.

Dune would be cool.

I would like a Rush (the band) pin. I am one that would buy sight unseen. I don’t see how anyone could mess it up with all of their own music, videos and sound clips.

Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

Why doesn’t Stern and these other manufacturers just reveal their next game already. Yeah I understand they are not back to work but I’d want to get the audience fired up so when I do return I’m hitting the ground running. Fuck this Corona BS, I’m over it already.

According to the polls I started, pinsiders seem to think Stern will reveal their next pin in June. Food for thought and the wait may be almost over.

Godzilla is the code name for their Barney the dinosaur pin. What else would Godzilla be a good code name for? Geeezzzz It is going to have purple armor and is a compliment to their green TNMT pin!

Wiki

The franchise generated merchandise sales of $175 million in 1988 and $350 million in 1989.[26] By 1994, it was the most merchandisable franchise, having generated a total revenue of $6 billion in merchandise sales up until then.[27]

That’s just the merchandise.

Quoted from Jackontherocks:

I wish they would have a setting on more games for additional speech/humor options if preferred the game to say more adult themed stuff, what was the last game to actually do this?

If my memory serves me correctly, AC/DC has a setting for verbal content.

So after TMNT and Heavy Metal, what are the rumors for the next Stern pin? I don’t recall reading about any other names.

#8192 3 years ago

I have heard that one thrown around. Do you think it is a solid rumor?

Quoted from mrclean:

I've always thought they should do "Walt Disney World" under glass. It can incorporate all of their major 4 Disney World theme parks, the rides can be both incorporated onto the playfield along with the LCD of a POV while being on that particular ride. They have iconic characters, rides, themes, songs etc.
-Represent the 4 major parks:
Epcot
Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios
Magic Kingdom
-Characters galore Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip N Dale, Figment
-Carousel of progress the backboard or backbox can change rotate scenes from different time periods
-Spinning "tea cups" / pops that interact with the ball
-Cinderella's Castle multiball / bridge.
-Spiel call outs from the attractions / narrations .... "Mr Morrow, Paging Mr. Tom Morrow...."
-Midway Toy Story game can be played on LCD with button on lockdown bar
-Jungle Cruise audible call outs / jokes,
-Expedition Everest Yeti interact with the ball.
-Space Mountain mode playfield has a star effect / LEDs
-Dumbo can magically lift the ball / flly to a different area of the playfield.
-Inverted loop for the Aerosmith Rock N' Rollercoaster
-Travel obtain countries / inserts from The world showcase at Epcot,
-Monorail around 7 seas lagoon can carry the ball.
-Parades / Fireworks / Lighting LCD / LED's
-Tower of Terror Twilight Zone flippers flip reversed
-The haunted mansion can easily create peppers ghost effect on the playfield / LED creepy lighting.
-Unlock RETRO retired rides like Mr. Toad & 20,000 Leagues under the sea LCD POV Ride footage

The Disney idea is a good one! So many ways you could go with it.

Jaws pops out of the playfield with a tank in its mouth and you have to hit the tank to blow him up!

#8298 3 years ago

Spaceballs! I think that would be a great pin. Just think of all of the humor you could put into it. Just thinking outside of the planet!

Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

I'd like to see innovation by changing the size of the ball. 1 1/16 inch is currently standard. How much more could you fit into a game if you use 3/4 inch balls? How about 6 ramps in one machine? At the same time you could sink the playfield deeper into the cabinet and have much more room for crazy toys. Of course this is all expensive but if companies through their BOM all at the playfield, what could they accomplish?

I think a company trying what you said would be an innovative move and cool to see what could be done with it. Might change the whole future of pins and lead to new ideas.

Quoted from Saltimbanco:

Cause', Avatar is coming and it will be a big thing for the next few years, so..

Which one...Avatar 2, 3, 4 or 5? They have one scheduled every two years. Plenty of time to fit one in somewhere between now and 2028!

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Would be cool to pair revised list of themes into a 64 line tournament and then run a bracket to find 32, sweet 16, 8, final 4, final and a winning theme. I mean if this list is complete, we should be able to determine 8 best themes for a pinball company to grab and use, right?

That would be a cool idea! Someone should ask AFM95 to do it. I believe he is the one running the March brackets right now.
