Quoted from PinMonk:It's a contract pin. Stern doesn't set the price or sell it to end users.
Common sense is not allowed here!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:That’s the correct attitude.
I spent 10 pages trying to convince people to address their complaints about Primus to Primus before I finally gave up.
Are pinsiders become quicker learners or just getting smarter? Or both?!
I see your struggle and by comments coming in some people still don’t get it, I think I’m going to have my company contract a pin and then charge $20k and watch heads explode
Quoted from Prince66cali: You couldn't give anyway elvira or zepplin. Two hottest new games are GnR and Alien.
Either I’m getting smarter or the people around here are getting dumber. I’m pretty sure it’s the latter.
Quoted from Prince66cali:There is a difference between autocorrect and intelligence. Maybe you dont think GnR and Alien are the two hottest games right now. Which is it?
GnR is definitely hot, but if you were trying to say they can’t give away Elvira or Zeppelin, well that is just laughable. You can’t find an EHOH right now and Stern just raised the price on them, you don’t do that unless they’re selling like crazy(JJP GnR). Also everything I’ve heard is that Zep is selling really well.
Quoted from Prince66cali:I appreciate your understanding on the autocorrect, it happens. GnR sales will top both of those combined, plus there will be a ROI similar to POTC. If Stern wants to up their game, make Goonies, which is an 80s cult classic like GnR or Alien and see what happens. You know, us Xennials are doing quite well in business these days. #TheTakeover, #FightOn, #LetsGoChamp
Haha, no problem, it happens. I’ll disagree with you on the combined sales, not that it couldn’t. I just don’t think JJP is currently capable of producing those kind of numbers.
Quoted from Pin_Fandango:enough with the music pins, please stop.
Same could be said about superhero pins
I’m not sure Stern will be announcing anything soon, they just sent out memos that there are further production delays with their backlog of games.
Quoted from Purdue:name a better one...
Alien, The Dollars trilogy(Eastwood), Godfather
Quoted from Purdue:good list until the end
imo
1a SW
1b BTTF
LOTR was damn good.
not a mad max fan but,
bourne....buhahahahaI can see the argument for godfather, alien is much much further down my list. Don't know the classic Eastwood stuff.
Ok so the only option you gave was Alien... and (respectfully) its not in the same league
NOpe...
Fun discussion! I might pick JP even though 2 and 3 were mediocre. Original JP was that good for me... my generations SW.
Dont understand the Harry Potter love, but admittedly im just old enough that i missed the craze. Must be a generational thing like the ones at the top of my list.
Fun discussion for sure, now I’m going to rewatch the dollars trilogy, been awhile.
Quoted from colonel_caverne:What is Rush? The movie?
This is why I doubt a Rush pin will be made, not too popular outside of North America. Every time this comes up everyone on pinside from Europe and Australia says “Who?” Lol
Quoted from Indusguys:If you’ve never heard the song Tom Sawyer you must have spent the last few decades hiding under a rock.
This comes up every time Rush is brought up, they’re virtually unknown outside of N America.
Quoted from bbaker2824:They may not be as popular, but hardly unknown. They toured Europe (mostly England) and south America quite successfully.
Yet pretty much everyone from England, at least here on pinside, says they’ve never heard of them. We’ve been down this road before.
Quoted from skink91:Australia too… though strangely enough we talk about them all the time on Pinside, yet everyone still maintains they’ve never heard of them. Every time.
Honestly the last time we talked about this I was shocked by it, with how much they’re played here in the states.
Quoted from MooButt:That is factually false. The toured the world many times. Their biggest show was in Argentina. Lots of awesome vids from it.
Yeah, I should of stated European and Australians, I was surprised that pretty much nobody on pinside from either continent had heard of them. I wonder if Stern would make a pin that would pretty much have zero sales there.
