My family would love to own a Lego themed game, so much you could do my imagination is running...

1979, I loved TMNT Back when I was a kid and I am in the same boat as many of you I could care less about the theme now but if they put together a really cool package I am in. However, I just purchased DPLE so probably wait till 2021 and see if these manufacturers can put out a title I care about. Something dark and adult would be nice.

At least it's not kiddy theme, like Wonka, TMNT, and Toy Story.

#9667 3 years ago
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Lol...Iā€™ve got news for you. Marvel shit IS definitely kiddie stuff.

I meant all the actors are adults doing adult things not kiddy things, Like the other themes I mentioned. Thanks for laughing out loud at me.

Whatā€™s the word? LZ tomorrow?

Nope, Queen!

Quoted from StoneyCreek:

Makes good business sense to please the demographic buying the most games for sure, it's yur 'F everybody else' that gets me.
I personally would pre-order a Pink Floyd game sight unseen.

I would be in for Pink Floyd as well.

I could care less about the T.V show "The Mandolorian", but having a Star Wars bounty hunter pin with Boba Fett somewhere in the game makes me very interested, especially if they use art from the end of the episodes!

#16569 2 years ago

Timeless classic, how about The Grinch?

#16683 2 years ago

I hope Stern surprises us like they did with AIQ. If Stern could keep a Elwin-ZY pin under wraps I am hoping for something that isn't on anyones radar.

Quoted from finnflash:

Everyone saying how much they love "Mando" but still calling him "baby Yoda"?
Blasphemy!!

I still prefer "The Child" to "Grogu".

I canā€™t believe Stern would do Rush before Queen or Black sabbath.

Quoted from UVAJED:JJP did it right with the 27" monitors and insane LED integration. If stern did it like that or better I would be more excited to follow this thread. However, still following. ā€ā™€ļø

JJP games look great, but I like to have fun when I play a game, not watch tv.

I can see Star Wars fans who have never played pinball purchasing Mandalorean, but I donā€™t think Rush fans are in the same boat. I think Stern should stay focused on themes with broader appeal. However, if Lyman is on Rush I will probably get one, in Lyman we trust!

#18480 2 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

Godzilla isnā€™t a theme that does anything for me, the worry is Keithā€™s design might be another I have to get. If Rush is true thatā€™s great my wallet will be safe, never heard of them.

If youā€™ve never heard the song Tom Sawyer you must have spent the last few decades hiding under a rock.

Quoted from GravitaR:

You'll be lucky to see another display panel game before the end of the year considering how many backordered games they have to make that use parts that are in shortages ATM.

Iā€™ve been thinking the same thing, but I really hope Elwin releases a game this year. He is on a role. I am also hoping to get in on the next run of IMDN premium.

Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Stern has the license with full assets. It will definitely be full of original footage...as long as the coder puts in the work. I have all faith in Elwin and his team.

I had faith with Elwin and team on AIQ, but the music, animations, and callouts are all lacking. I will wait to hear what Lyman is doing next, Elwinā€™s games arenā€™t getting the treatment from Stern they deserve. EHOH was a home run in every way for me.

Quoted from PilotPinball:

Just let it be made by Jersey Jack, Stern would cut so many corners they would leave out stripes if it saved them a dollar.

Yeah, but at least if Stern made it the game would be fun.

Quoted from arcademojo:

Also thought Godzilla vs Kong was pretty good. Actually would say one of the better Godzilla moves to date. Not sure what people are expecting from a Godzilla movie?

Thatā€™s why Iā€™m not expecting much from a Godzilla pin. Give me a theme that has great charters rather then one iconic monster please.

#21346 2 years ago
Quoted from WizardsCastle:

Anyone know how many LEs they will be offering?

Sounds like 750-1000, anything over a 1000 doesnā€™t feel like a LE to me.

Quoted from WizzardRob:

The top left of each "U" letter part is totally different. So i am glad its definitely not Rush.
Do you even know how unrecognized that band is in the rest of the world? I only heard about Rush on Pinside... Why is this band a thing with american pinheads?
[quoted image]

You may not have heard of Rush, but unless youā€™ve been hiding under a rock for the past few decades you have heard the song Tom Sawyer, and probably thought it rocked.

Quoted from Drain-O:

Here's a thought --- something that's NOT an IP. Gone are the days when someone just thought up a theme like High Speed or Funhouse or whatever. I don't know why everything has to be based on a movie/show/band, and then digress into opinionated conversations on whether or not that IP is cool or lame. I would kill for something that was just about pinball. </end rant>

I think you might want to check out AP, with titles like Houdini, Oktoberfest and now LOV.

Quoted from Pinballflare:

Kaneda says he is hearing it is going to be centered on Thunderball. If that is true, Tom Jones could be rocking the sound trackā€¦. Speculating is always fun.

A Stern game based off a 1965 B grade Bond film??? Seems a bit niche for Stern.

#31084 1 year ago
Quoted from Taygeta:

Coulda said something similar for BM66 or Godzilla and look how well those did.

Comparing Thunderball to BM66 and Godzilla???

#31874 1 year ago
Quoted from Waxx:Actor call outs aren't uncommon for Stern. It's just awful when they do it themselves so those stand out... ahem GotG.
Off the top of my head.
Carl Weathers - Mando
David Harbor - Stranger Things
Karl Urban - Star Trek
Adam West and Burt Ward - BM66
The Hound Actor - GOT

Nolan North did Deadpool.

Quoted from Chalkey:

When's the dang announcement?

Hopefully this coming week or at the latest the following week. I hope itā€™s a surprise title that no one saw coming!

#32133 1 year ago

If itā€™s Thunderball makes me wish I wouldā€™ve got Rush.

#32674 1 year ago
Quoted from spinArip:

Anyone catch the Gomez and Taylor Bancroft interview on Marco yesterday? At one point, GG says there's going to be a surprise that's related to the James Bond reveal, and he shows what looks to be a small cutout. Hard to tell what it is, but is it Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas? Venom? Diversion tactic? Haha... Wonder if they'll release two themes on one cabinet, like Spooky did for Halloween and Ultraman.
Link to video is here, and the screenshots are from around the 1:40:50 mark.

Playfield art looks brutal to me too. Hope it shoots great. One thing for certain is they always look better in person, at least to me.

Whereā€™s all the cleavage? What is this a G rated Bond?
