Do yourself a favor and head over to eBay to buy the universal monsters movie set. There are different versions, but they are dirt cheap...and they have all the classics (Dracula, cftbl, bride of Frankenstein, the invisible man, the wolfman, the mummy, Frankenstein, phantom of the opera, etc.)
I recently bought the 8 disc Blu-ray set, brand new with extra booklet, for 24 bucks shipped!

These days it’s going to take a Pulp Fiction or John Wick to get my money. I might be convinced by Toy Story but it would have to be pretty amazing base model. Jaws is not horrible and my wife loves it but it’s not something I’m excited about. It would just end up on my one day used list. The right band from the 90s could get it done.
I'm not sure how you feel about Toy Story as a theme, but it will be a game changer.

I'm ambivalent.
I can say that I am a casual Rush fan as well as a fan of the Foo fighters, so I would certainly play either on location. I don't see myself buying either, however.
For my home collection, I would love to see something like Queen, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, Journey, or David Bowie.
I would also be interested in pinball designers spreading their wings on something slightly different in the musical world like the Beastie boys or Ramones.

I have heard that part of the selection process behind Stern deciding what gets built, is allowing the designers to pick projects they are passionate about. With said new designer being passionate about these themes, it is a possibility they may happen in the future.

Stern is the absolute best pinball company in existence. They are the longest tenured, have the largest log of games, and they produce regularly. Are all their games knockouts? No...but I would say that the majority are very impressive showings.
If they come up with a legitimate theme that I am am seeking...I am a buyer.
I am in trouble if they release Bond. I'm a big fan!
Bond. James Bond is supposedly based on 4 Connery films...so...which 4?
It won't be Never say Never again, because it isn't an 'official' bond film, so you can throw that out. That leaves 6, so 2 will be chopped.

I enjoy the discussion and amusement. He is entertaining to me...but it's also amusing when people give him shit. I don't dislike the guy...at all. He brings more interest and people to pinball. That's a good thing in my book. The banter between him and his followers just cracks me up!
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I love the throwback Bond movie posters on the cab art. The mechs and gameplay, on the other hand, I'm not sold on...but I will wait until I play it.

I like the foo fighters, and I have for a long time...but this won't be a pin I will be going after unless it has an absolutely KILLER layout.
At current prices, I just don't see the value, and I feel a lot of other people don't either.
I can't imagine they will sell a lot unless they drop the prices, but I don't see that happening. This year should tell us a lot about the future of pinball.

It depends on what the definition of "long time" is. Spring ended many months ago. I would offer that is a long time

They haven't started filming, so season 5 won't be till 2025 at the earliest. And the actor strike still ongoing could push that to 2026.
If it's not really limited that's great, but do wonder if they can really make this last till the next season at this point
My understanding of the timeline is this:
Stern had all the parts/pieces to make more ST pins and they wanted to do another run, but their license ran out. They fought to get it back because the demand was huge. They almost scraped the whole thing, but they were able to secure it for a limited time...so they released it as soon as they could. It will be a limited run and will likely be finished for good afterwards.
If you are looking for a Stranger Things pin...this is your shot. You likely won't get another chance.

The license is very expensive. I would venture a guess that if they didn't have the extra parts/boards...it wouldn't have been ran at all.
I commend Stern for not only trying to bring it back, but for making improvements and keeping the price reasonable. They DEFINITELY could have raised the price on this title.
They saw a need and worked like hell to meet it. I can't fault them for that (even if it helped themselves well...but it is a BUSINESS, after all)

Actually, with all the amazing recent/upcoming releases (Godzilla, b&w Elvira, pulp fiction, Labyrinth, Met)...I may have to start making some tough decisions on what pins to sell.

Ghostbusters seems to be the theme everyone craves, but I have been told by inside sources that it will absolutely NEVER be made again. There are too many logistical issues in the way.
I have strong hopes for goonies, matrix, or BTTF, however.
