Quoted from Sinistarrett:Lots of people sure do say “ I would buy (Theme XXX) sight unseen!” and “Take my money!” and “This title would be an insta- buy for me!” Because of this mindset, no matter what the next Stern is its:
A: probably going to have a price increase
B: certainly going to have incomplete code
C: likely going to suffer from quality control issues
None of these problems are ever going to go away with people consistently throwing large sums of money at a product they have never even actually seen or for that matter, a product that hasnt even been reviewed by any actual consumers. Whatever happened to demanding a proven quality product that has been adequately tested and performs properly out of the box?
If people were a bit more patient and didnt buy, say, all 400 LE models of a game before its even been released or reviewed maybe Stern would put a bit more effort into these games before putting them out.
Well said! I got soooo lucky that my first NIB (and was new to collecting) was STLE and its an amazing pin, but the wait for good code was ridiculous. Thankfully they delivered very nicely. After GBLE, which I flipped within the year I swore never again NIB. I just got a slightly used Aerosmith and couldnt be happier:
1) not being the first guy on the block with the NIB
2) getting a new pin after code has been developed
I will never get a NIB again... unless its...

Eventually the Pulp Fiction poster may need a new spot … I think that’s a nice spot for Jaws
Thank you!! I will have to squeeze a GnR in there too, when it finally arrives. That said, I would be stoked about a Rush machine as YYZ and Limelight currently plays on my MET (thank you Pinball Browser) and last year, just before the pandemic I organized a Rush Day for my kids: I found (wasnt too hard) the childhood house of Neil Peart and Alex and Geddy's Neighborhood, so visited those spots, Lakeside park, another park named for Geddy and Alex and ended the tour with a drive by Geddy's and Alex's residence... Big Rush fan. RIP Neil
So Stern just announced that their next pinball is:
Drum roll.......
Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 Episode 9!!!
Seems a little weird to me, but I don't market pinball machines.
Quoted from highdef:I don't think there is anything wrong with pointing out flaws and questionable design decisions, especially at these prices.
While it may seem minor, I don't understand the decision to go with yellow flippers vs. white for this theme and playfield art. The flippers in Foo Fighters and James Bond are white, so it's not like they're completely stuck with yellow flippers. I also think Stern should use warm bulbs when the theme is nostalgic and/or calls for it (like Godzilla).
These are minor touches that do not increase the BOM.
Either way, I am sure this game will be fun to play.
Then replace with white flippers.
