Quoted from Droomsfeer:

Timeshock has been released eventually. Although the game was not well received, due to some technical issues with the game, just after the release. Their plan was to also remake Fantastic Journey and Big Race USA, but this never happened. I think the company got into financial issues and dissolved eventually, due to Timeshock not doing very well. After that, total silence. The Pro Pinball license should be floating around somewhere. This is a no-brainer really for Stern: buy this license and create a one-to-one identical machine in real life. Timeshock is designed like a real table, and it’s still one of the best pinball videogames today.

Wow they actually finished and released it? I had no idea! I thought more people would have been talking about it. Might have to do some digging around so I can see how the finished product looked!

Isn't the BTTF license spoken for by Dutch or Pinball Bros?

Next Stern is X-Men, from what I kept hearing.

Are we getting a blurry picture today??

#49707 33 days ago

Just to be clear, I have no idea if Stern is releasing any info today. K-man knows the title and said he will tell us today. I see alot of people expecting official Stern info, hope that's not because of me...lol. #notXMen97

#49708 33 days ago

If Kman is threatening a reveal today it could mean that tomorrow is the official Stern teaser and he's trying to get ahead of it for clicks

I would expect the typical Friday teaser/Tuesday reveal either this week or next

#49709 33 days ago

I thought new releases usually/historically drop on Tuesdays from Stern?

#49710 33 days ago

Would they do a secret wars pin?

He was posting like last night like he was definitely going to tell everyone today and I had a feeling he was gonna flake out. And he did. Dude doesn’t seem to know much anymore, perhaps companies are doing a better job keeping things locked down.

Or hes attempting to get some last minute Patreon $$$ from people who think he's releasing later.

#49713 33 days ago

I'm thumbing through the USPTO recent filings for fun

TiltBob Pinball trademarked Little Shop of Horrors

PPS is trademarking all sorts of things for Big Bang Bar merch (and a pin)

DPX registered Magic Girl and RAZA

Universal is updating a lot of random properties of theirs to include pinball (including bangers like The Breakfast Club, The Office, and Love Actually)

and interestingly Lego and Universal just trademarked BRICK TO THE FUTURE together (with a pinball option)

Nothing interesting Stern wise other than they applied for a trademark on Flip Lock.

Oh well. It's still probably X-Men or features one like Wolverine.

#49714 33 days ago
Quoted from crujones4life:[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Ah, Marvel Multiverse Project

So it's either Deadpool & Wolverine or Into The Spiderverse. If it's either of these, I might as well let my distributer know I am looking to pick up an LE now.

The darkest timeline is Dr. Stranger Multiverse of Madness. I guess it's possible they didn't base it on any one movie and it's just a marvel pin with a ton of references to different media. Not sure how they would accomplish that without film clips from a lot of different places.

#49715 33 days ago

Into the Spiderverse could be cool, though I'd be a bit skeptical because that's Sony and not just Disney/Marvel

Quoted from TreyBo69:

I feel like Stern releasing 2 games where you potentially play as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in back to back years would be odd? I imagine they would do something similar to the chose your hosts thing with Miles, Peter, Gwen & Spiderman 2099 being playable. Maybe a prowler mode as an unlock or some variants.

Probably - Kaneda's PP is purely a business.

#49720 33 days ago

so just bc we're basically all throwing crap at a wall here, a few thoughts:

The X-Men 97 rumors have been really loud, and from what I can tell the only time we see it shot down is based off Kaneda or someone relaying his patreon posts. It's very possible that this is mostly about engagement and getting a bunch of last minute subscribers, by disputing the most commonly held belief. The long drawn out "will he/won't he" reveal is a pretty good indication.

It's also been a while since he's scooped anything...He had some pretty good intel on the Jaws layout, but I don't recall much he said about John Wick, and there was also the Harry Potter JJP/homebrew debacle

Spot on guys. He is a smart marketeer tho. Think about it. 700 x $6 (conservative average monthly) = $4,200 a month for his “scoops” and to tell let people know they’ve lost money. Smart man.

Wait, so all the talk about the reveal being today has been based on Kaneda’s behind-the-paywall bullshit? Why does anyone pay to listen to that guy complain about his status and string you along with nonsense?

Well you weren‘t allowed to refer to him/ his name here for a while…

Part of me doesn't want to believe you but seeing how this is pinball I don't doubt you.

Lots of people are successful at bullshit side hustles but they aren't getting a kudos from me.

Remember Kudos bars? Damn life was good.

I never heard the word „kudos“ until „Metropolis Street Racer“ for the SEGA Dreamcast.

I do believe is X-men, but perhaps Uncanny? The thought of a Jack Danger X-men layout makes a “take my money” scenario right away. But with every single release Stern is taking too much from the machines. Now it’s just a simple formula: pro: 2 toy/mech + virtual lock. Premiums 3 toys/mech + physical lock. That’s it. Reused ramps, wire forms, etc. Accesories that you can purchase later on. Too much LEs making less special every single Le release. I mean…I do hope that with John Wick, Venom sales it’s lesson learned for next titles and that’s the reason this suddenly switch to make Gz B/W premiums instead of a LE or why Metallica “Remastered” it’s being held for so long. When I spoke with Borg in Texas he told me the game was done a long time ago. I think they are re shaping their strategy based on what happened this last year for them and the current market.

#49735 33 days ago

John wick is a fun game that does not deserve the hate it got here.

Oh it was another playing the victim card when groupies acted like they weren't allowed to type his name here.

Ghost rider would be an awesome theme!

Ghost Rider is being added to Venom eventually. It’s in the menu. He will be involved with the topper. Speaking of Venom, what an overlooked jewel of a game that one is. The initial hate and dismissal + the baby soft market that Stern has created benefitted me massively in grabbing an LE for a total steal. It gets so much more play than anything other than TBL these days.

I will admit I had zero interest in the game until I played it. I enjoyed it more than I ever imagined. Not a buyer, but one day, maybe?

#49740 33 days ago

Honestly, the distinction is probably irrelevant for both fans and the people who don't want another superhero pin

If true I'm looking forward to the reveal

I looked at the pics and listened to the masses complain, and never touched one. Then we spend all TPF playing it and had to have one. It’s an awesome game with an awesome ruleset. Yes, you have to log into IC to progress, but it’s so unlike anything else in the gameroom. It’s a real shame that it came and went with so little support and fanfare. Theme matters. An awesome, innovative Venom pin is chicken liver next to an uninspired Jaws pin.

I'm a Spider-Man mark but not so much a fan of Venom as a character or pinball theme. It's rad that Spider-Man is playable in the game though. I'd honestly be hard pressed choosing Stern Spider-Man or Venom Premium if I wanted to scratch that itch in my home collection.

Jaws as a theme does nothing for me despite being 42 years old and a fan of the horror genre in general. Gameplay wise it felt fine but I wasn't convinced I should own it over other games on our horizon.

If they do Wolverine or any Marvel property I really hope they go with movies and likenesses. I get it's probably way cheaper to make comic pins but Jaws and Wick integrate the films with gameplay really well.

I think it depends on Theme.

#49745 33 days ago

Spiderverse is interesting as Stern has had himts out in plain sight.

When I see stuff like this, I assume a pinball is coming too. Official teaser probably tomorrow. Usually around noon Chicago time. Full reveal Tuesday.

Not disagreeing but that was just a reskinned Marvel vs Capcom 3 cabinet. Easy way to sell more units. Arcade1up only has about a dozen licenses but they pump out "new" cabs every year.

He was referring to the original video game remastered. I don’t believe he was talking about the Silver Castle Pinball attempt at a real version. That never came out, looking right now their Facebook hasn’t been updated since 2017. I think it’s safe to say that’s a dead project.
