Im dropping off the nintendo theme (for now) and going with Gomez expanding on his DP magic only Reynolds will be taking center stage on this one with pin selling callouts! In Cru I trust.

Quoted from pinballaddicted:I think whoever was going to buy a GZ70th has already bought it. Game has been around for a while so most people that wanted one would already have one I feel.
I have to stand corrected on GZ70,
My estimate of 300 GZ70 was way soft I reckon,
My guess is that Stern will sell a thousand of these bad boys, easy !
Well done George and team, Great call.
Looks awesome !
You know that you could really clean up with a Mirrored Backglass for this.
Keep it fair maybe $250 USD , sell 500 of them easy !

I think Stern have made over 500 already.. Hopefully they make thousands!
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Dude. You play pinball. You aren't any better than anyone else here.
Yes I do and Never said I was.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:I think Stern have made over 500 already.. Hopefully they make thousands!
Why do you think that! I believe a standard run is 500. Based on how many people have these in collections, i'd say 2-300 have been unboxed. Based on how many distros have it listed on pinside alone I think it didn't sell that well.
I'm not saying it's not a great looking game, I just don't see any evidence that they made or sold a lot, and based on dealer inventory doubt they'll do another run soon. It was already the most produced game in 30 years not sure what we expected. That said the color Prem is probably the only thing not already saturated in channel so I expect them to run that soon
Quoted from gonzo73:I would guess that Stern would give their distributors more than 4 weeks to try to sell more G70th, before dropping a new Cornerstone...
No ?
What do you want em to do, shut the factory down while they wait for games to sell? They've got more wick (and probably venom) still in channel than anything but they can't wait, they can either make the next least clogged game or come out with a new game.
Hopefully they are making progress on the Insider Connected Dimensional Pocket that allows all their customers who are full to store more games!

I bet they already produced them. GZ70 was probably planned as another LE variant until the JP30 backlash. Let's see if they release them down the line as an accessory.
Quoted from John-Floyd:And grown men looking for stupid Marvel superhero garbage makes me chuckle too.
While I tend to agree, old men pining for whatever out of style classic rock bands they were into decades ago is not much different.
Quoted from Enron64:He has like the king of dad rock collection, I feel that makes him slightly better.
These days, thats not dad rock, thats grandpa rock. Its just marvel for guys who grew up in the 70s and stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying any of it is bad, I'm just pointing out the obvious parallels. I like a lot of that old music myself and would consider owning most of the rock pins. I'd also consider owning Marvel pins though if they are decent games.
Quoted from NC_Pin:It would need to be nuanced (like everything from Burton) and Stern doesn’t do nuance. Dutch would probably be the best choice… then Spooky… the JJP… all before Stern
Agreed !

Different strokes for different folks. Something for everyone. After all, It’s all about the sales.
How about Commando? Classic 80’s Arnold… perhaps my favorite! Oh those one liners throughout that film…simply awesome.
Here's a suggestion that'd be PERFECT for Stern.
A pinball based on the "Wipeout" video game Franchise!
This is a very popular futuristic racing game that has been around for decades on countless platforms.
--> It has a huge popular following and is familiar to generations of gamers
--> Cool futuristic vibe
--> Choice of characters or vehicles
--> Techno Soundtrack!
--> Huge potential for awesome ramps!
--> Magnetic ball acceleration is a MUST!
--> Plus magnetic ball levitation to represent the futuristic hovercraft as the ball is launched onto the playfield can be implemented!
--> Licence probably wouldn't be that expensive
--> This would be in Steve Richie's wheelhouse (too bad he's now at Jersey Jack)
--> Scott Danesi on sound

Have you seen Cosmic Cart Racing?
Anyway, I think the theme is way too niche for Stern. Wipeout hasn't had a proper new entry in a long time.
+ Wipeout has zero personality....
For video games (besides rumored Pokémon):
God of War
Legend of Zelda
Elden Ring
i think those would all make great pins and are still relevant.

I see your point, but as a simple concept, Wipeout just calls out for speed; ramps; loops; firing weapons, etc. all to pulsing lights and sweet beats!
Also I wonder how many people think of the TV show about an obstacle course vs a video game when they hear "Wipeout" (or the old surf rock song )

Haha you are right. I am almost 40 now and that’s music my dad listened to and now I am a dad. I guess time has gone by and didn’t realize that it’s hit grandpa rock status

Lol same here man. Well... I'm not dad, but I should and could be. Its crazy to think about, right?

You can teel from the serial numbers. Pinside numbers are only a guide. Most people that own games are not on Pinside. Too much hate speech and negativity for them.
You answered your own question, I feel they need to keep the factory churning. The factory is quite agile and can run a few titles at a time. They are building stock so they can concentrate on new titles and big sellers. If the rumors are true about the remakes and new titles, the factory will be busy.

Lets go Stern Pinball.[quoted image]
Way overdue ! “ I’m a fuel injected suicide machine “
Quoted from crujones4life:We will know the title of the next Stern today...
How soon?
Quoted from crujones4life:We will know the title of the next Stern today...
I bet they are announcing the long rumored Metallica Remake if I had to guess. I cant imagine a new cornerstone being announced today.

give us a hint using only screenshots from BTTF

I think you're right. We're only a couple weeks past the release of Ride The Lightning 40 years ago and this feels like an odd time for a cornerstone release. Also its been a while since the last music pin
Bummer, I want something new
Quoted from John-Floyd:Yes I do and Never said I was.

What if Danger is making new GB layout ?? 40th year anniversary too……
If there is a new GB, I am pretty sure Sony will demand it be made on the Afterlife reboot

As a pink floyd fan. I would like a pink floyd pin. But I want a theme that 21 to 35 year old will put quarters in. Pokémon or something like it.

I'm all for something for everyone as I've said multiple times in the past - to each their own. I know what I like and what I will spend my money on, and for me that is mainly Rock pins. Most people would Hate a Floyd Pin and I'm ok with that too! I'd be all over it!
Stern should make a real-life version of some existing videogames: “Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire”, “Pro Pinball: Timeshock”, and something themed in between “Devil’s Crush” and “Demon’s Tilt”. Literal money trees that just need to be planted.

I wonder what the status is with that Timeshock some company was working on years ago. Probably going to be announced any day now

Don't forget about the classic Crüe Ball! Wait....that might be a decent idea...
Quoted from Haymaker:I wonder what the status is with that Timeshock some company was working on years ago. Probably going to be announced any day now
Timeshock has been released eventually. Although the game was not well received, due to some technical issues with the game, just after the release. Their plan was to also remake Fantastic Journey and Big Race USA, but this never happened. I think the company got into financial issues and dissolved eventually, due to Timeshock not doing very well. After that, total silence. The Pro Pinball license should be floating around somewhere. This is a no-brainer really for Stern: buy this license and create a one-to-one identical machine in real life. Timeshock is designed like a real table, and it’s still one of the best pinball videogames today.
Debating whether or not to join Kanedas Patreon and risk getting fed another couple photos of a years-old homebrew

Sonic Spinball?

Only got a Venom code update so far…
They did a Deadpool update to add Wolverine stuff. Now they did a Venom update to add Wolverine stuff. There's a Wolverine movie in the theaters, and we know next month is the "Month of Marvel" on IC.
Wouldn't be too surprised at this point to find out we're getting a Wolverine pinball machine, although I hope not. "Bub Multiball"? No thanks.

I think you are correct!
Advancing characters between games would be something and an interesting use of the IC platform
Achieve a certain badge on Deadpool to unlock a new mode on Venom, completing the mission on a Wolverine pin, or something to that effect
