Quoted from Peanuts:A release each month?
Yes. Shiny new to distract from losing sales of cc failing. Cuz, you all know, reasons.
Quoted from Yesh23:How about a jaws with a lower playfield that rivals Black Hole
Or like in Congo .
Quoted from underlord:Yes. Shiny new to distract from losing sales of cc failing. Cuz, you all know, reasons.
Stern ain’t stupid they know a new shiny release resets pinheads memories
Quoted from fisherdaman:Serious question, did they finally finish and distribute the sw topper?
As far as I am aware it’s still not available to buy, although I’m sure they revealed the finalised topper and said it was awaiting final approvals before shipping think that was sometime at the beginning of this year.
They need to slow the F down and QC this stuff.
Pooling
Chipping
Flaking
Peeling
Incorrect inserts
Rex not working
Helicopter hits guide
What else?
Pumping out new art while slowly responding or not responding to issues.

Art is easy, pinball is hard
Quoted from kciaccio:I didn't know Data East was designing pinball cab art still...lol
That was the first thing I thought! But it is better than Data East art.
What's the Stern juggernaut theme that is coming? Back to the Future? Harry Potter? Jaws? Bill and Ted?
Quoted from ahdelarge:What's the Stern juggernaut theme that is coming? Back to the Future? Harry Potter? Jaws? Bill and Ted?
I wish, never happening, could be cool and hell yes please
Quoted from ahdelarge:What's the Stern juggernaut theme that is coming? Back to the Future? Harry Potter? Jaws? Bill and Ted?
Well... I the loudest "Bill& Ted" voice around here but I have to admit that they don't even come close to the first two in terms of relevance.
Jaws... maybe a bit.
Even people that didn't see Jaws know the "sound cue" and altough noone has seen Bill&Ted for years everyone around me still seems to remember their lines.
Quoted from ahdelarge:What's the Stern juggernaut theme that is coming? Back to the Future? Harry Potter? Jaws? Bill and Ted?
I've got my money and hopes on JAWS or BTTF two of the greatest movies ever made!
Quoted from AUKraut:Coincidence?? It may be nothing, but a pinball artist with past Stern work posted this on Instagram:[quoted image]
And the theme is in Stern's hands...november release?
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:It wont happen now with Elvira 3 coming out but I would have preferred another Tales from the Crypt.
Big spooky house with gargoyles? Check.
Cheesy horror clips? Check.
Overly campy host? Check.
There are just too many overlapping qualities to justify it now. Maybe a retheme 10yrs from now but I doubt it.
Love my TFTC, always thought John Borg Metallica game is basically an updated version of TFTC. Would love to see it remade with Cryptkeeper in the electric chair. Maybe a Creepshow pin as series came back through some online stream.

I hope so!
Quoted from frankmac:I hope so!
I don't think Dirty Donny works for Stern anymore.
...and I don't think Stranger Things is a juggernaut theme for the pinball collector crowd.
Whatever happened to the Princess Bride rumours?
Quoted from pinmister:I want some classic 80's Rock and Roll
Stern needs to consider doing Def Leppard-screw Bon Jovi
An 80s hair band pin would rule! I know it would be impossible license wise, but a combination of top hair bands would be awesome.

80's hairband pin would be an instant buy-would have to come stock with JBL audio.

That would be called Monsters of Rock. Throw up all the bands who were in on that in real life in the 1980s. A licensing impossibility, but tons of great music.
Quoted from rai:that new SW art looks tight.
Count the fingers on each hand and see how far down the Data East art homage rabbit hole they went.
There's not going to be any more new releases this year. They've had three cornerstones and a major special release with Elvira. 2019 is in the bag.
My dream themes...
-Back to the Future
-Bill and Ted
Also, on the B list....
-TMNT
-inside an arcade (old pins and games from the 80s and 90s as a game somehow)
-Xmen cartoon series (something original)
-Tron 80s (something original)
-Transformers G1 (something original)
-Batman Animated Series (something original)
-Invincible (unpopular comic book)
-Nintendo franchises
-Sonic the Hedgehog (I still cant believe there was never a Sega Sonic pin. He spins around as a ball through loops and stuff. He even had a pinball video game)
-Speed Racer
-Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy
Oh, and Ghostbusters with a normal flipper gap lol
Quoted from Sinestro:2019 is in the bag.
Yeah. Trash bag. QC was thrown in first.
Since Pinside isn’t a relevant market segment, shouldn’t bother anyone.
Any of these could be cool
Unique shots with amazing audio and perfect execution, yes please
Seriously the 80's was THE BEST
So many contenders
Mad Max
BttF
Bill & Ted
The Goonies
Top Gun
Die Hard
Big trouble in little china
Scarface
Gremlins
The Blues brothers
A Nightmare on Elm St
Evil Dead
The Fifth Element
Blade Runner
The lost Boys
Escape from New York
Total Recall (1990)
Predator
Highlander
Friday the 13th
Spaceballs

How Stern ever left that wide gap go on a game that would appeal to kids is beyond me. My wife and daughter wanted me to get this game for theme and looks alone. Once they played it with the wide gap they didn't want it. Stern dropped the ball on extra sales on this one.

Stick carrot flippers on it. Problem solved.
Quoted from jorro:Disney aladdin
totan homage pin

Animated? Yesplease. Live action Aladdin? Ugh, no thanks.

SW home edition, SW vault edition, what's next...an anniversary edition?
Quoted from snowy_owl:SW home edition, SW vault edition, what's next...an anniversary edition?
I don't think it's called a Vault edition. It's just another run with different art. They are still running the regular ones also.
A Summers of Love pin to reel in the hippie years. You load up in the VW van, drive to festivals, Monterey, Woodstock, etc and upon arrival pick a tent or van to go inside of and score lids or acid or a nitro balloon or something. When high, that enables you to a mini upper pf to score concert tix. Get a ticket to the concert, where you flip during full length live concert footage of The Who, Cream, Stones, Hendrix, JAirplane, BSpringfield, BobDylan, the Dead etc. from way back in the day. Go to the diff famous festivals of the late 60's in order, culminating with the San Fran Stones vs Hells Angels. Also for adults, a Cheech and Chong pin would be MINE! Scarface, and a Playboy/Penthouse where the chicks take it all the way off on LCD as you progress. A Van Halen, Ozzy/Sabbath, a trippy Hendrix pin, Spinal Tap, Judas Priest and a Slayer would all rule! At least combine some of them in a "music festival" pin. I would LOVE a Scooby Doo, so would the kids!

Ya! Same old Star Wars under the hood!!

I don't know .... I thought it was OK when I first played it. After I ran into it again and put some more time on it I would very much like to own a premium. I think it is a pretty fun pin to play - and the theme, music, movie clips really help it - I really dig Star Wars.
