Found a leaked pic of the Elvira stern machine . Dont know if it's legit or Bs.[quoted image]

Not sure how I feel on this pin.

Not jumping out of my shoes at this point.

OMG that video...I would NEVER let someone play one of my machines with a ring like that on!

#4504 4 years ago

Looks like the center ramp catches the right gargoyle .

#4506 4 years ago

Looks like the Premium is the entry-level model (at least for this one) - and both the Premium and Limited Editions come with a nice little MSRP increase.
Can only imagine what the Signature Edition call-for-price is and how it will compare to Batman '66.

#4507 4 years ago

Geez even the specs say "Gar goil"
The G O I L target are driving me crazy. Its gargoyle. Little things that hurt my brain lol

So whose the designer?

Yeah I think they know how it's spelled.

We always knewm there wasn't going to be a pro, and I guess the price increase depends on what you are comparing it to.
And we haven't heard the street price yet.

#4512 4 years ago

Its intentional. Look at the playfield and you will see GARG OIL GUAGE and some inserts.... Consider the target is G.OIL and it might not bug you as much

Yeah I think most of us got that

#4514 4 years ago

My nit picks:

PRICE
plastic ramps
outlanes looks to be visually hindered by plastics (could be fine while playing)
house ramp catches right gargoyle statue

Yeah, I should have made it clear I wasn't comparing it to buying a Tesla.

So how about we just compare its MSRP against the MSRPs of Stern's most recent Premiums and Limited Editions like JP and BKSOR?
And - unless Stern has not increased prices to their distributors - anyone want to bet against a reasonably corresponding increase in street price too?

#4516 4 years ago
Quoted from TheRudyB:

So how about we just compare its MSRP against the MSRPs of Stern's most recent Premiums and Limited Editions like JP and BKSOR?

Well that's the problem, you can't becasue those games have pros, so you have to put it up against the "non cornerstone" titles Look I didn't make this shit up and it doens't make me happy
So against BM66 it's a little cheaper at release but the same as the newer catwoman, and the same as beatles I think?
EDIT: For premium prices anyway, mist the LE price on this one.
EDIT: haha "mist." Graysondad won;t be liking that one

#4517 4 years ago

while I don't like the extra cost, I do like that all trim levels will have the same features. I am very curious to see how the movie clips will be utilized in the game like if there will be separate modes for all the various movie clips or are they just window dressing background noise?

I haven't seen a good shot of the backglass, so here is an image from the video.

I spotted that but took it as a Sterns idea of a play on words as I thought the gargoyles are driven by a coil? No idea how the mechs work so that might be off but I like it anyway

Anyone who saw the distributor stream, where the accessories shown, mainly curious what the topper will be on this one!

Actually it's been 6 years since the idea of this game started and posted by the design team.

First I was a little like "Ah typical that they are doing a higher tier price range for this machine, cash grabbB!!!!111", but, I realize that this machine (and all versions) have quite many different mechs and features, and the premium would absolutely be a normal premium machine, several stuff would have to be taken out to be a pro.

I would like to see a pro though, since im sure there are several features that really arent that necessary for the gameplay, and im sure many ppl would buy it with less mechs for a pro price.

But all in all, with so much stuff in it, Im okay with Stern doing a Prem-as-minimum run. Besides, the limited and signature is just bullshit and throwing away cash since all versions are gameplaywise the same

Wow really? I’m surprised Stern won’t be releasing a line of accessories for this one especially a topper. Accessories are easy money for Stern, sell a SLE topper for $1000 and the queue will be around the block!

That mech video is one of the best promo vids I’ve seen. It makes me want the game, when I don’t want the game. Nothing earth shattering, but what this didn’t get into were other game features that are great.

Not shown was stuff like game play and video are tightly integrated and seamless, there will be an expansive custom dialog package (no hillbilly announcer, we get The Queen of Macabre), custom Elvira video is being created and previous Elvira broadcast video is used. In addition to all this fluff, the playfield indicates there is a stiff o meter type fryer that is part of the ruleset. Oh boy, this game is going to be impressive when it is completed.

How about something new and innovative like pinball companies did back in the day (cough cough... 90s B/W). Why does Stern always have to base games on licenses? Just get out there and create something new and original.

Development cost, risk, and sales potential. Stern is about making money for the investment group now. Innovation is for everyone else.

They've rested on the laurels of licenses (and made millions) for a long time with nothing original. It's time to shake it up a bit and get off the cookie cutter train.

You are asking the wrong company for something original.

Not happening. There are boutique pinball companies for that.
