It's not an unlicensed theme, but that reminds me of the Jaws vs. Iron Maiden pin idea that I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to garner support for
Quoted from Pickle:Well....please allow me to retort...
Pulp Fiction would be an awesome theme.....so many good call outs could be used if it were done.
Going back to Pulp Fiction , I believe Sega was going to release one back in the day around 1994/1995. The reason why I say this because I was looking back at some pictures of Pinball Expo 1996 and I came across this little gemimage (resized).jpg and also came across what seemed to be a data east sized translite for a marvel universe themed pinball so that might be the birthplace of the realtionship between marvel and gary stern. image (resized).jpg

No. Never planned. This was something else. Designers were required to make up two translites for job applications.

Ahh that explains alot then , wish it went into production though
When they run out of themes that people want now, maybe in a few years we'll see stuff like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. The Big Lebowski and Rob Zombie could lead the way.

Quoted from cooked71:Pulp Fiction would be the greatest pinball theme ever....period.
It would certainly have some kick arse music.

While I agree. If you cut out the adult parts, hillbilly boy and the gimp for example, you'll lose a lot of great material. And present day companies might not want to push the envelope on what they do put in a game.
Bad Mother Trucker Wallet multiball would have been great.

That explains Aerosmith then.

It would have to be the full package - no wimping out on scenes, and the definitely the full original (i.e. No TBL style knock offs) sound track. Licensing would need to be handled well.
Not sure if any of the current manufacturers could/would pull it off. Stern and JJP could but wouldn't want the adult parts. Dutch, Spooky and Heighway would but the licensing could be a headache.
Still, implemented as it should be, it would be pinball greatness. Ezekiel 25-17 multiball anyone?
Quoted from cooked71:Not sure if any of the current manufacturers could/would pull it off. Stern and JJP could but wouldn't want the adult parts.
Stern has done many adult/violent pins like Playboy and Sopranos.
Other than the Dead N*gger Depository dialog, Pulp is tame by comparison.
Pulp only has one micro-bit of nudity that I can remember, and that's Bruce Willis in the shower.

Not so much the nudity, more the realistic violence and drugs. But full credit to Stern if they did it. Cant see JJP having it sit next to Wizard of Oz and Toy Story though.
Batman 66 or Prince . I would buy a Prince
pinball over a Aerosmith. I like Aerosmith music but with Prince theres more themes you could make a game with.
Quoted from ENDOFLINE:i still want 80's flashback themes with hand drawn art .....
DARK CRYSTAL
BACK TO THE FUTURE
TRON classic 80s style
TRANSFORMERS classic 80s style
INDIANA JONES classic 80s style
BLADE RUNNER
KARATE KID
GOONIES
ET
WILLOW
You should probably also add those to o-din's thread too

Well ... a bat-mobile (66) will be at the Stern 30th Extravaganza ... that should tell you something. There will be a opto1 vehicle copy there too. Hmmmm.
Quoted from ENDOFLINE:who's this odin that you speak of
Just some smartass clown, that thinks he's always right.

As well as the fact that Adam West will be there for a VIP only meet and greet before the party. To get a VIP ticket from your distributor you need to pre-order a Batman pinball machine.
Quoted from Plungemaster:I just got confirmation rumors are next pin might be Jaws.
The next pin as in Aerosmith next, or right now next like Batman 66 or is it the next after that?
I prefer classic themes over contemporary ones like Batman 66.
That being said, I would be in for a Munsters pin in glorious black and white.
wow ....so that narrows it down to about 95% of pinsiders
Quoted from o-din:Just some smartass clown, that thinks he's always right.
I was told by a distributer friend that Batman 66 will be next and it will be totally different pin than TDK. Take that for what it's worth

You should not make jokes about a guy with balls of steel!
Though I would insta preorder a Duke pinball even if the playfield has ghosting inserts and it's made by J. Popadiuk - this is most likely just a re-re-release of the DN3D game from '96 with maybe some updated graphics.
Quoted from nman:Ok, now that that's out of the way, what will be the NEXT Stern pinball machine?
Aerosmith???? Lol
Quoted from nman:Ok, now that that's out of the way, what will be the NEXT Stern pinball machine?
Given that their schedule is destroyed by the playfield clearcoat screw-up that affects all their lines, who knows what the next pin's release might really be? I hope they're using all this extra time to do some extra coding on games that need it.
Quoted from ahdelarge:Aerosmith???? Lol
They really should get to that one while the band is still hot.

Especially with Mark Ritchie designing it.

If he's really been working on it for 2 years he's got a hell of a poker face.
