Quoted from DS_Nadine:

In the GoT Code Update STrem Jack Danger just said he's looking forward to reveal "a most excellent game" this thursday on Comic Con.
(I think he's just messing with us, since he started the whole rumor but still...)

Quoted from BeeGeeMtl:

At the end of tonight's GOT stream on Twitch (via JACK DANGER), they were mentioning the announcement on Thursday and a couple of them said that it would be a "most excellent announcement". OBVIOUSLY that's a reference to BILL & TED'S but maybe they were just f*ckin with us, not sure.
I'm leaning BILL & TED's for now, especially since they're filming the next film, as we speak: https://www.joblo.com/movie-news/the-wyld-stallyns-are-back-in-action-in-bill-ted-face-the-music-set-photos

Excellent News!

I’m taking “other” for 500-1. I like to gamble.

In the amount of? LOL

I suspect Jack was just messing with everyone on the Bill and Ted's hint. I will be surprised if it is something other than Jurassic World. Stern sure has done a great job keeping us all guessing on this release!

Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

I keep getting down votes from a guy with a 40% approval rating. Makes sense.

Triggered much! Irony at its finest. Let it go man, who gives a hoot about downvotes?

#3805 4 years ago

Why would Stern reveal a Bill and Ted game a year before the sequel comes out? Even if it’s based on the original, the timing makes absolutely zero sense.

If they released BILL & TED, it would likely be based on the TRILOGY, not just the first movie. The buzz has been very strong on the next film, so it would piggy-back on all that. That Keanu's so hot right now....lol. Kinda like Stern did with INDIANA JONES when part 4 came out, only that pin sucked the bag.

#3810 4 years ago

Look out for the Demogorgon.

Finished season 1 now on to season 2.

Jurrassic XXX wourd be "meh".

Stern hasn't made a pornographic pin since Playboy in 2002 so I doubt they'd re-enter that market with sexy dinosaurs.

Alien pinball being manufactured by Stern?

#3816 4 years ago
Quoted from frankmac:

Odds
JW 2-1
Stranger things 4-1
Superman 5-1
Bill and Ted 7-1
Stern GNR 99-1

Other odds of things in the next game:

Toy on a spring. 3-1
“Mono” stand ups. 2-1
Bash toy not a bash toy (stand up in front of toy) 5-1
Molded plastics. 100-1
Interesting and/or complex Mech. I0000000000000000-1

A big demogorgon on the middle of the table and we can shoot in his mouth would be cool

For stern to release a game at a comic con, you’d think it would be heavily themed to that crowd, so Superman, stranger things, bill/Ted, maybe jaws?

Star wars home version...who's in

You are going to burn in hell for that sir

#3821 4 years ago

So....the dealer livestream is happening now. How long til someone from that stream spills the beans on the title and it appears on Pinside?

My vote goes for Stranger Things, but we'll probably see Jurassic Park.

#3822 4 years ago

All I know is if its Bill and ted, or Strangers Things, or TMNT, or Pulp Fiction etc this will relieve my stress, because I can save my money on this round.

Phew...

KME said 2 weeks, so i hope for something substantial soon after SDCC...

#3824 4 years ago

If it's not Jurassic 'something' it's going to be a major shock.

2 weeks for what???

Games will be shown thursday.

#3826 4 years ago

At some point they simply have to do a special Black Knight Flail of Rage edition, but this time the Black Knight toy will be swinging a sword.

(Sorry - couldn't resist. I'm quite thrilled with my Premium and that there is finally a 3rd game in the series - something I never thought would ever happen after Williams shut down its pinball division.)

Phew...

For me, at least 2 of those has some appeal (ST, and PF) - but I totally get it if those themes don't move the needle for you. To own a pin I must enjoy playing it AND like the theme. They are too expensive for me not to have both of those qualities. Which pinball machines meet that criteria differ from one pinhead to the next...

OK, someone make it happen

I still think there is some truth in these jokes (project "Socrates" and CircleK) ... perhaps not for ComiCon but with the new movie due out in 2020 it seems very likley.

Nobody if true. It will sell like every other Stern home version = POORLY.

Home Edition?

#3838 4 years ago

I'd buy a home edition if the game isn't that different from the main game. I don't really need a coin door and the cabinet can be cheaper since it'd just be at home. Of course, I don't think it's worth Stern's time to make a home game that retails for under $4,000....and I think most people that could afford a $4,000 home edition can afford a $5,500 fully featured game. So I don't think it would go anywhere, or they'd have to remove a bunch of stuff which makes it a tough sale.

A home version from a business perspective does make sense. I mean why not target a larger "non collector" consumers. Well. once again saved me my money on this round.. phew.

#3840 4 years ago

Is there another game in addition to the home edition on the call?

#3841 4 years ago

If that is all that is being announced...what a tremendous let down that would be.

#3842 4 years ago

home version. Great idea. Lots of people want to just dip their feet in the pinball waters for $4000...sure. Makes sense. Yup. They wouldn’t just buy a used full feature game either. Nope.

#3843 4 years ago

If Star Wars pro was a 'box of lights', what will this version be?

An empty box with pictures on it?

#3844 4 years ago
Quoted from epotech:

Star Wars Home Edition apparently.

Isn't that already Star Wars Pro?

#3845 4 years ago

They just won't give up on this idea, will they?

#3846 4 years ago
Quoted from Wickerman2:

home version. Great idea. Lots of people want to just dip their feet in the pinball waters for $4000...sure. Makes sense. Yup. They wouldn’t just buy a used full feature game either. Nope.

Idk. I talk to lots of people curious about buying a game and it takes a lot of convincing that a new in box game is not necessarily a lot more reliable than a used one for significantly less.

#3847 4 years ago

I don't think Stern marketing is that dumb. Why create a countdown timer for two days that gets the pinball community excited, to reveal a game that isn't targeted to the pinball community? Doesn't make any sense. Home editions and Pinside do not mix.

Quoted from kermit24:

Well not anymore I would agree. We shall see

I think if the home thing is true, then they launch at Comic Con and then Elwin's game is shown off in another week. Or they do two games at once

#3850 4 years ago

I think if its true LOL.

Next game releases September time - James Bond here we come!
