Quoted from Prince66cali:

Pinside is the best business specific research forum ever created.

Yea sure

Quoted from Pinplayer1967:

You should drop everything and go apply at Stern. Lol

Can't take a pay cut at this point in my career. It could be fun tho.

Quoted from Pinplayer1967:

For laughs. Not any ideas.

Iron Maiden...

I feel like you re one of those people who thinks that everyone still wears a suit to the office and in person meetings are more effective.

You posted a theme in the "Next Stern" thread. Some people take that as it's next.

What is the theme?

No, common sense. You really think Stern gets all of its ideas from this site? Plenty of other forums as well. Pinside is a small minority.

Yes, depending on existing contracts and availability of themes. It is a great test market. Why else do you think different themes are thrown around and discussed.

People shouldnt. Its best ANY future pin get mentioned, despite the title of the thread. You never know, it could end up being next. Keep the info flowing MNpinball!

They didn’t get that idea from Pinside. Iron Maiden was inevitable. Rock pins pay the bills

Most of the the ideas discussed are dumb and would hardly sell.

If it wasn't for the pin, I wouldn't even know who Iron Maiden was.

IMDN was easy, since it was based on the mobile game. Rules and art direction was already written in a sense. Iron Maiden the band wasnt the seller on this for the most part. Iron Maiden the Legacy of the Beast mobile game made it happen. IMO.

Iron Maiden was a band 40+ years ago.

That’s their business, I would imagine they have a marketing team

The only person or band doing that in 2023 is: ________. You may not like it but it's a fact and I don't think it's even close.

Pinside threads would just not function properly without someone playing the “ass-clown” role.

It is a great test market. Different themes are thrown around and discussed.

Some Stern employees do read Pinside to gauge possible theme interest.
We might already have a new BTTF pin by now, if they didn't have crujones4life set to "ignore."

Venom details don't sound very exciting if true.

#38739 7 months ago

"Captive ball that spins around" - hmm the JP Jeep and FF captive ball both sound similar. Be interested to see what this is...

He previously said Jaws and Indiana Jones next year. What do you think?

#38742 7 months ago

venom sounds lack luster as hell especially considering whats coming down the pipe.

#38743 7 months ago

Yeah Indy is correct but he man is so yesterday. I grew up on that and the toys but I don’t see it. Too many better themes in the works.

#38744 7 months ago
Quoted from Prince66cali:

They will sell out.

Care to put your money where your mouth is?... a distro being forced by Stern to buy x amount and sit on them is not selling out btw. Selling out means all LE's sold to retail customers. Distrubutors are going to be sitting on a lot of these for a while.

#38745 7 months ago

Patiently await Jaws, and excited to see all prior titles to it...

#38746 7 months ago

Definitely getting excited to see what venom would look like but if they make a he-man, that would be a very interesting one to see

Would be a breath of fresh air if Stern would chose a more lighthearted theme. Not darkness, warring, attacks, etc.
