Big Trouble...
Quoted from Raegor:Big Trouble...
Do you mean the Tim Allen film?
Or Big Trouble in Little China?
Quoted from PW79:I heard Elwins next game is Howard the Duck[quoted image]
Technically it is a Marvel film so it is possible.
Quoted from frankmac:I hope Elwins pin is not JW.
Same here. We are looking forward to seeing Elwins next game. IMDN is an awesome game because of the call outs and code. Keen to see what he comes up with next. JW is not a theme we are keen for.
Quoted from PW79:I heard Elwins next game is Howard the Duck[quoted image]
I heard the next Elwin pin was Hells Kitchen with Gordan Ramsey doing custom voice work.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Does anyone now who is on art for Keith next game? I know it's not Zombie Yeti
It's not Zombie Yeti or Franchi, so maybe this guy? He did do the original JP.
Quoted from TheLaw:Hey.... That guy is kind of a big deal!
Hotdogs for Fingers and Peter Dinklage.

God, please no. Data East had generally horrible playfield art in the 90s. Uniformly awful.
Quoted from PinMonk:God, please no. Data East had generally horrible playfield art in the 90s. Uniformly awful.
Nah. That TMNT Playfield from Kevin O'Connor I'd hang on my wall.
And while you may not like the artists style, Phantom of the Opera, Batman, BTTF all looked pretty good...

I like how most of the translites he did are also the ones from the head era that people like to replace.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:BTTF all looked pretty good...
Licensing aside bttf looks absolutely horrible.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Licensing aside bttf looks absolutely horrible.
I prefer that over the late SEGA till up to 2015 Stern Photoshop efforts.
And please bear in mind that the games were made for the arcade (noone notices the fingers if you just play a game and it doesn't sit in your basement) and the artists had a Minimum of time.
Like Kevin O'Connor had ONE DAY to do the Robocop Playfield (It shows) and the whole BTTF game was made in 2 weeks.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Nah. That TMNT Playfield from Kevin O'Connor I'd hang on my wall.

"Generally" means most, but not all. TMNT Playfield art is decent and an unfortunate loss because it's saddled to one of the worst games ever made.
Markus was responsible for 100% of the Data East playfield art atrocities. The other Data East artists had varying levels of success.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:And please bear in mind that the games were made for the arcade (noone notices the fingers if you just play a game and it doesn't sit in your basement) and the artists had a Minimum of time.
Fair enough, but the JP Nedry fingers also suggest a minimum of talent. And I say this as a JP owner.

I think they are bend fingers like cosed hands more then actual fingers
But he at least needs a barbasol can in the right (his left) to justify the stance.
Someone make a barbasol can playfield overlay?
The real ugly part is left outlane dinosaur thats a misshapedosaurus!

No way, that part of "artwork" is like a 5 years old's drawing... In the middle of playfield.

Wait, that wasnt Peter Griffin?
Quoted from PinMonk:God, please no. Data East had generally horrible playfield art in the 90s. Uniformly awful.
This trekkie thought DE Star Trek had great playfield art for the most part
... and I heard Elwin was doing.... us all a favor by designing another game irrespective of theme! Iron Maiden was an instant classic, great layout.
Quoted from apinballwiz:This trekkie thought DE Star Trek had great playfield art for the most part
That one's not a Markus atrocity, so it's not that bad, just kind of unimaginative.
For the record, these are the ones Markus did that have awful playfield art:
Baywatch
Guns n Roses
Last Action Hero
Lethal Weapon 3
Star Wars
The Who
WWF
He also did Tales from the Crypt, but his crappy style kind of fit that theme so it's not so immediately terrible.
But yeah, he did a large chunk of Data East's biggest pin licenses so he disproportionately sullied Data East's reputation.
Really looking forward to jjGnR with a competent artist at the helm.
It's great!
One week ago we had about nothing, now we have newish speculation of the next game wich might show soon, GoT Rerun (Vault?) on the line wit new Code this monday and Zombie Yeti and Brian Eddie teasing Bill & Ted.
Quoted from stretch2:Wyld Stallyns it should be !
Vintage.

That what they all say. Lol
Quoted from underlord:Zombie yeti already stated it’s not for a Stern pin. BaTEA is not in the works. Sorry.
Bummer the artwork looks like great pin material.
Quoted from frankmac:I would rather see Bill and Ted in place of Jurassic Park or World...
Anyone else feel this way?
I haven't seen the new Jurassic World movies. I don't care about them. The theme has been done twice already, which is a good sign that it's been done enough.
And yet, dinosaurs. Even if I think it's boring and overdone it will probably still sell just fine if that's real. So long as the main toy isn't a T-Rex head on a spring or something laughable, if it's noticeably stripped down compared to the Data East version people will shit all over it. Ain't nobody trying to see a pin in 2019 that can't outdo a Data East.

100% agree @aurich

Jurasic World was ok (not great) but the sequel Jurasic Fallen Kingdom was horrible
Quoted from rai:Jurasic World was ok (not great) but the sequel Jurasic Fallen Kingdom was horrible
Clicking these links will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Quoted from UNCgump:Next is Jurassic Park, not World. 100% sure.
Oh man I hope this is true
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Clicking these links will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Links are TIGHT.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:This reveal from TPF 2018 is why I think Brian Eddy is up next, especially with Elivra being in Oct/Nov.
[quoted image]
Because pinball production schedules have never been wrong lol. My guess is Eddy or Elwin next, then Elvira followed by Eddy or Elwin in January. Maybe a vault or special run title peppered in there.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:My guess is Eddy or Elwin next, then Elvira followed by Eddy or Elwin in January.
And sometimes pinball production schedules don't change. Who really can't guess it is Eddy or Elwin next? How about committing to one or the other? Afraid of being wrong?
GoT rerun is coming.
