Oh god. Do not look up the backglass for this... I'm not a prude but JFC who the hell would ever want that? They made 5 of a planned 20...
Quoted from TreyBo69:Oh god. Do not look up the backglass for this... I'm not a prude but JFC who the hell would ever want that? They made 5 of a planned 20...
Herb said his wife gave him hell for taking the game to a show.
He also said they made three runs of those backglasses because they kept selling out. 30, then 75, then a final run. Just made a few game conversions (it was a rethemed 1963 Big Deal), though.
But yeah. Where were people putting those backglasses??
Quoted from TreyBo69:I know nothing of He-Man as it was before my time
Though I saw this and thought it was amusing[quoted image]
Lol, I just remember my little brother had a “Stinkor” action figure. If they make He-Man they gotta put Stinkor in there
Quoted from PinMonk:Where were people putting those backglasses??
Quoted from SLAMT1LT:Retro, music, trending... The Stern model, which seems to cover all the bases to maximize profitability.
Retro... Anything older than Justin Bieber is up for grabs (JAWS, BTTF are top of the wish list for many).
Music... If they can get The Beatles, they can get anyone (Ozzy Osborne, Pink Floyd, Van Halen... the sky's the limit here).
Trending... Hot new TV shows that the whole world is talking about (Rings of Power, House of Dragon, Cobra Kai... you know the drill by now).
Maybe, once in a blue moon, they'll throw in an original theme... but they don't sell well.
So, Bond ticks the retro box, now we move on to music or trending. The problem with trending, you have to strike while the iron is hot, so it can be a gamble. Retro and music are sure things.
My retro choice...
[quoted image]
The only thing people are talking about in Regard to Rings of Power is how bad it is and how much it cost.
Quoted from mstang01:Lol, I just remember my little brother had a “Stinkor” action figure. If they make He-Man they gotta put Stinkor in there
That figure had a strong scent if you remember, very impressive…..
Not feeling He Man as a possible theme. I grew up with He Man and G.I. Joe but I feel like those franchises have lost their childhood magic they once had. I still enjoy the Transformers franchise and could see a modern LCD version TF being made. There also seems to be a demand for anything Nintendo and Super Mario related. I would take a look at a Mario Bros. pin before a He Man pin. He Man does very little for me as a theme I want to spend thousands of dollars on.
Other themes that would interest me are King Kong, Van Halen, BTTF, Goonies, Beetlejuice, Caddyshack, Superman, Jumanji, and a Mission Impossible.
Saturday morning cartoon from the 80's pin.
He-man, Gi Joe, Thundercats, Voltron, etc all in one pin.
Another idea I had for possible themes is incorporating the rest of the Universal Monsters as individual pins. We have Monster Bash and CFTBL but so many more gems that can be put into production.
Bring on Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Mummy, The Wolfman, etc. (Would actually prefer classic Williams style with stainless steel trim, etc.) I am now day dreaming the possibilities

Quoted from Dwboca:Saturday morning cartoon from the 80's pin
Maybe Tom and Jerry or a nostalgic Transformers based on 80's cartoons with a LCD that plays bits of episodes that tie in with modes(got me day dreaming again).
Cartoons are hit or miss for me. Simpsons, Family Guy, Rick and Morty are all fun to play for me but not much interest in owning them. Seems like Sonic or Mario Bros. would be successful-especially on location.
Quoted from pinmister:Maybe Tom and Jerry
The virtual Tom and Jerry table is actually a fantastic flipping table and one of my favorites to play. If a similar Tom and Jerry was put into actual production-it would raise my right eyebrow.
That Tom & Jerry looks freaking awesome.
Would love that pin!

Quoted from jazc4:I still think that The Office would make a great pin. Lots of material to work with.
I would like a Parks and Rec Ron Swanson edition please.

Pin-anon an even more stupid and useless group than Q-anon. Probably lead by a certain podcaster who shall not be named.
Some people have it so good they have to imagine problems. Must be nice.
Quoted from Ballderdash:I like the guy, but has anyone else noticed a handful of other off putting symbolism from him? He oft speaks of illuminati, wears all red shoes, recently got a tattoo of a fable witch’s house that supposedly eats children. Please don’t burn me for asking. I just wondered if anyone else picked up on it. No

And some people have it so good they have to look for problems( real or imagined) to make sure people see them, and then they can tell people, Hey look at me I found a problem(real or imagined)! Arent I amazing!
Quoted from SLCpunk2113:Pin-anon an even more stupid and useless group than Q-anon.
Ohh really… there’s a “Pin-anon” group? Wow.. I thought I was actually just taking the piss.
If there is a a Pin- anon do they podcast from the Vatican? Or maybe it’s a just another one of secret handshake, “nudge nudge wink wink” worlds greatest BS psy-ops clubs too.
And if there isn’t “Pin-anon” then consider it now officially trade marked. Just send me the royalties but I don’t want any invites thanks.

I was just playing along but there are probably enough pinball conspiracy theories out there a cult is due to form any day now.
I heard Gary Stern is a robot who runs on money and stealing data via insider connected!!!
Quoted from SLCpunk2113:I heard Gary Stern is a robot who runs on money and stealing data via insider connected!!!
It's not stealing if you give permission by agreeing to the TOS as all IC users do.
But the real question is, does the Gary Robot wear red shoes?
Quoted from PinMonk:I think it would be more compelling if only one of the shoes were red. That would be danger.af
Being a pinhead and a low-key sneakerhead, I loved Jack's shoes and the fancy footwork in that video was the icing on the cake. Hehe.....and I need to get some personalised patches for my jacket one day.
Quoted from johnnyutah:[quoted image]
Ridiculous, right? Who could believe the red shoe nonsense or any of the related wacky internet theories?
jack-danger-red-shoes (resized).jpgQuoted from Pinball_Syd:That’s a fair call! I guess Monster Jam could get bumped across to a smaller tier or boutique manufacturer. Similar to “Hot Wheels” just because there’s a huge fan base and multi $m in net worth merch sales, probably wouldn’t equate to eyebrow raising pin sales. And if another motor vehicle/bike theme were to surface I’d wanna see some backglass game integration like “Banzai Run”. Like that’s ever gonna happen again any time soon!
If WWF, which has interesting design theme integration with the upper pf wrestling ring but sat around as stock on the shelves for months, then there’s an anticipated risk for developers.
I’m guessing sports themes are now considered too passe and a thing of the past, already overdone during the last century. Ohhh well.. back to block busters and bands.
Banzai run style of playfields would be too much cost. I would say make it like black water 100.
Quoted from Lounge:Can we just delete this entire page, please?
You just can’t now! Stern marketing staff reads this thread for laughs.
Bond on a wand is turning into a super snooze fest...
Venom with Eddy and rock n roll background music could be super tasty?
Not sure about Pulp Fiction? I love me some CGC but is it a worthy family theme for me? Big Lebowski had me interested when it was a $8500 game in 1984 and now that it is $13,000 other titles have taken over my interest.
Galactic Tank Battle with custom art looks interesting. Non theme games need to knock my socks off. Will gameplay, layout, lighting, sounds/music be stellar?
Now talk of Stern reintroducing vaults for 2023-smart move. Vaults are a good way to generate revenue that will keep Sterns 3 lines churning. Tron Spike 2.0 LCD run should sell well
So now what is the next Stern music pin? Will it be Borg? Tis the question

08D15272-2DF9-4FC9-88A9-48A60D882B71 (resized).jpegThis is such a weird time for Stern. The next Stern pin is still cornerstone Bond. Then the next Stern pin is 60th Anniversary Bond. Hopefully games will actually be ready to ship with the following release. This is pretty lame.
Definitely a stagnant time in the pinball world. Wonder how many fair weather hobbyists we’ll lose this year.
Quoted from PinMonk:Ridiculous, right? Who could believe the red shoe nonsense or any of the related wacky internet theories?
Yeah, who could believe all this nonsense, perhaps asides from Hanks, this bunch of distinguished gentlemen and the pontiff appears to have some buy in too. Oh yeah and now one of my pinballs, the one with the red powder-coat legs and matching red polyurethane feet appears to be in on the action as well.

I would not mind another Indiana Jones pinball machine being made-such a great franchise [quoted image]
I'll never forgive Lucas and Spielberg for what they did to Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones 4.
Quoted from mstang01:Lol, I just remember my little brother had a “Stinkor” action figure. If they make He-Man they gotta put Stinkor in there
so... what you're saying is that LE version of jack's he-man game will be split like ac/dc was? 750 moss man editions / 750 stinkor editions
each featuring a odor-rama effect for wizard modes?
