Quoted from bane:

Love James Bond. However, it cannot be argued that Roger Moore is clearly the worst. The cheese and bad puns are almost unwatchable now.

It can be argued because Roger Moore is my favorite bond, but then again he is the one I grew up with. To add fuel to the fire, I also prefer Moore's Lotus to Connery's Aston Martin.

Moore is the best for me. I don;t understand thinking he's cheesy and no one esle is; whole character is cheese.

I like the red one, but it didn't last long

Now that the Daniel Craig Bond era is over, I think his movies are like 4th on the list behind Connery, Moore and Brosnan. Casino Royle is steller but they really went down after that with the last two or three being pretty basic action. The Bourne influence got too deep after those movies took off and it made the Bond movies less special. They need to go back to a bit more "fantasical" elements that made stuff like Live and Let Die, Goldeneye, Man with the Golden Gun, Russia with Love stand out from the Bourne/Uncharted on PS4 stuff everyone is pumping out these days.

If I could just chime in briefly here,
I would like to give a huge thank you to KME and team Stern Pinball for making the magic happen.
The world is really fucked up now in soooo... many ways, but when I turn on KME's Godzilla, life is good
The game give a smile to my dial on many levels, makes me switch off from life's difficulties.
Again, thanks KME and all the incredible team at Stern pinball that make the most awesome escape from all the bullshit.
The FUN formula is a winner, so thank you.
You guys are awesome !

Craig’s films are all pretty good, all have their ups and downs but most Bonds do.

The problem they had with Craig is the same issue they had with Brosnan, Martin Campbell was the one who rebooted Bond both times and he understands the character better than just about every other director that has ever tackled Bond.

Barbara & co know this as they previously discussed Campbell coming back for another Craig Bond but he unfortunately didn’t have any interest in retreading familiar ground; he did however state he would come back once again to direct a new Bond if it was telling something new so hopefully he comes back for yet another Bond reboot as Goldeneye and Casino Royale are up there with the best of Bond.

Top Gun is nothing but a big budget recruitment video paid for and screenwritten by the Military industrial complex. Mega hard pass.
But I WILL take a Roadhouse pin.

Roadhouse would be amazing.

I Disagree with you about Top gun. Imo it made the military look bad (Jon Hams willingness to sacrifice people) and the hero is really just Maverick

Well, hard to disagree with facts. The air force was involved with the film and they did demand overwrite privileges to the script which they did use throughout the entire script. Was quite a different film before they got ahold of it.

I know bond, jaws, venom, BTTF, foo fighters are the defacto pin rumors but I am holding out that Beetlejuice or He-Man have some legs. As much as comic/cartoons have had more than enough of the lime light, fighting all the villans in He-Man sounds like a blast. The Tim Burton ghoulish comedy world of Beetlejuice has so much character, would love to see almost any scene recreated in game

Technically the DOD. The “Department of Defense entertainment media office” more specifically. I don’t understand the need for people to downvote commonly known facts. Bit odd but…um…do as thou wilt. Most military related films get equipment funding and script privileges which basically turns these films in to recruitment “films” at the very least and propaganda films at the most. Top Gun is specifically listed among the “Popular American propaganda films” list on Wikipedia along with Casablanca and hundreds of others. This is not a wacky opinion of mine. You can take a class on this in film school for crying out loud haha.

Who cares. It is a nostalgic and entertaining movie. There have been many military films over the years you would classify as "propaganda." What scares you so much about anything that paints our country or any aspect of he US military in a positive manner?

Escape From New York - Snake Plissken Edition
[quoted image]

I'm not a big fan of some EFNY fan art.

Escape from New York is another wonderful 80's true classic.

Kurt Russell is easily one of the greatest stars ever and I wish he could live and act in his prime forever.

Part of the brilliance of this movie is John Carpenter, again a huge fan here. JC's direction and music scores are awesome for pinball.

Such a great movie and again has enough recognition to become a successful pinball.

This title needs to be made. Winning formula full assets, Preferably by a team at Stern Pinball that has a passion to make a dark title deep and fun.

Lots of people care, it’s an interesting subject. I’m particularly interested in US propaganda because it is so well crafted and so deeply embedded in everything we’ve watched since we were children that hardly anyone recognizes that it even exists. I suppose the only thing “scary” about it is that historically speaking the only nations / groups that rely heavily on propaganda are largely totalitarian or fascist in nature. One must only paint something in a good light if it is actually rooted in darkness, right? Otherwise…why paint it at all? What would be the purpose? No one would be compelled to paint the Girl Scouts in a good light right? Anyway, class over. Enjoy your pins and I’ll do the same.

Nah, I’m just not really the flag waving nationalist type. I was born here, that’s about it. I’m also not the type to be like “I support -regional sport team- because they are from where I live” type. I leave that type of shit to the NPC’s haha

I doubt it. Stern has publically announced their next Cornerstone game will be released/revealed in August. HOWEVER. There is no reason for Stern not to drop a surprise contract, home pin, or K-Pow game. If it were going to be one of those, I highly doubt Danger would be involved with any of them as he is a relatively new designer and the pin would have been in development for a while. The only thing I can see them dropping short notice with him involved is a new Home model Pin. I would not put it out of the realm of possibilties that his design has been reskinned as either another theme or as a comic edition. The most likely scenerio I see if he is involved is a new Home Pin off of his JP design with a Godzilla theme.
