Quoted from ahdelarge:

Wow, no chatter on the rumoured Foo Fighters pinball being designed by Jack Danger after the sad passing of drummer, Taylor Hawkins?

Even if such a thing was in the works… wouldn’t that feel a bit opportunistic to you?

It’s Toy Story .

Gonna be a good one, just like woody and buzz when you sleep the playfield will come alive and begin to chip and pool

His game is probably a year plus out right now (no May game, Richie/Gomez and Eddy next in line, Danger and Elwin next but with the delays they could easily have Elwin's come first). Even if it is Foo Fighters, the big thing this news may impact is callouts, which are probably nowhere near being recorded, and it's unlikely they'd change the theme now, but it's possible with the release so far out. There's nothing to say from the pinball side other than if that is the theme I hope the team is doing ok, this is probably rough news from a personal, fan perspective.

Also, it's at least equally likely that it's not Foo Fighters. My theory is that's a codename for Ted Lasso.

I read on here, that the next Stern will come in August. Does that mean it is announced or will it start to ship in August?

The next cornerstone will be released in or around August of this year. Some people (myself included) believe there will be another game released before then...

You were saying you believe another game will be leaked before the August. When you think that would happen and would it be at another event?

Would be cool but do you really think Wolfie and Alex are going to license it with Michael Anthony? I wouldn't want it unless it's all the original band theme but it will probably be a current lineup like GnR.

They should. Keep it original to honor the 4. This photo was from the 96 best of album where Dave sang the 2 new songs. It was just like they never broke up. Sammy was against the best of but Eddie overruled him after reminding him about his already released best of.

If Stern is doing BTTF 2.0 I sure hope Gary poses as Doc for the flyer again.

Venom, then a kappow game then James Bond. Then jaws.

#26117 2 years ago
Quoted from tonyf1965:

Venom, then a kappow game then James Bond. Then jaws.

That would be ideal for me as I don’t want Venom being skipped over like it was rumoured last month.

And Bond being a non KaPow would be great but can’t see it happening, we will pay a premium for Bond!

#26118 2 years ago

It might be James Bond. This is the 60 year anniversary of the franchise. They can roll out their 200 60th anniversary Bond pins for 25k each.

#26119 2 years ago

Honestly I don’t see the viability of a Jaws pin. The last Jaws film was in 1987, hardly in the current zeitgeist. I suppose 2025 will be the 50th anniversary of the original film, but that make a 2022/2023 release seem premature.

Venom & Bond make total sense, but I can think of a lot of themes more relevant than Jaws.

Quoted from JackG:

I'm surprised that it wasn't done for the 50th anniversary. Now for the 60th anniversary is their last chance with the first 6 Bonds (Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan and Craig). Yes, I hope that they are all represented (a Daniel Craig/No Time to Die-specific pin would disappoint a lot of fans). Ideally all 25 movies would be incorporated somehow.

#26121 2 years ago

A no time to die pin would be a major disappointment! If they are going to use Craig make it Casino Royale based WPT mk2.

Yes, would be great to have all the Bonds. There's so many great clips. I don't think anyone would care if there was a mishmosh of Bonds. Transcend the individual films and pay homage to the franchise.

Jaws, BTTF, James Bond...? I made all them a decade ago for the virtual pinball community. Today, they should be looking at 90s themes (the 40-50 year old age group).

I’ve seen the Jaws table I think, but not the BTTF or Bond ones, just had a quick Google with no luck any photos??

But BTTF and Bond are very much 35+ age group themes.

Bond opening theme songs have very little to do with the movies and theme itself these days, they are aimed at one thing and that’s trying to make a top 10/no.1 record.

#26128 2 years ago
Quoted from J85M:

Beverley Hills Cop should have had a pin, first two movies where great! A funny pin is always a winner and why Deadpool is so loved!

Big Trouble in Little China would probably also make a good pin with the camp and good toy/mech potential

I’m not sure I could envision a bond pin from any era… what would the put on the playfield? Even though I like the new movies best, the Roger Moore era seems to have the most going for it pin wise with camp, gadgets, and Jaws

#26130 2 years ago
Quoted from mstang01:

You would press start, select which actor you want to be (Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan), and play as James Bond. The playfield would show various villains and Bond girls. You'd stop the bad guys and save the girls. Who doesn't want to be James Bond and end up with Pussy Galore?

#26131 2 years ago

I quite enjoyed the recent Bond movie even though - like every movie these days - it was at least half an hour too long.

Absolutely! Why limit yourself to just one evil villain and just one Bond Girl? I’d say don’t even worry about who’s playing Bond, because it’s you…

I am not a licensing guru, but this seems like it would be hard to do - songs, clips, actors likenesses, etc.

I want it, too...but I am skeptical

This is my grail pin along with sabbath. I pray everyday that its Stern that has the licensing and builds them. The thought of Jjp getting them would be my worst nightmare.

#26137 2 years ago

Holy Grail music pin:

Kinda would prefer JJP to do it over stern though..... WOZ style

Stern is probably the one with the money to do it though: The licensing would be extremely expensive.

My nostalgia window is a bit more modern than Stern is currently targeting but I'd love some deep 90/00s properties.

Adventures of Pete and Pete would make a spectacular table. I'd love it. Call your nickelodeon license contact and make it happen.

Would also show up day #1 LE for Radiohead or StrongBad/Homestarrunner the latter which would make for an amazing playfield + callouts. Are those too recent? Maybe but the well of classic rock acts is drying up and we're all going to feel ancient when Pearl Jam and Green Day show up.

Absolutely agreed! Strange that Nickelodeon stuff is unmined pinball territory even though it'd make for some awesome themes. SpongeBob SquarePants Pinball Party would be unbelievably fun -- and all the voice actors are total ringers who would crush the callouts.

#26146 2 years ago

If it's a Pete & Pete it'll be made by Krebstar for sure....but I'd settle for a Stern game as long as Inspector 34 handles the Q.C.
