Quoted from apinballwiz:

Anyone know why there hasn’t been a Three Stooges pin? I’m sure manufacturers haven’t overlooked it, guess there are licensing issues? Was wondering if anyone knew for sure, what a killer theme!

A big market gor stern is europe and italy, dlnt think that it would do verry well there

#2552 5 years ago
Quoted from northvibe:

Heighway has/had that and not sure how long that license is tied up for with them and the pinball brothers.

Heighway who?

Couldn't Stern buy the license off them?

Italy is in europe.

I loved the 3 stooges as a kid!

Is it to early to start speculating on Stern next pin?

I’ve still got a Munsters hangover. Just give me a few hours...and an Advil.

#2565 5 years ago

I believe the next games will be
Steve Ritchie's unlicensed theme March/April
Brian Eddy's game July/August
Elvira 3 October/November

#2566 5 years ago

I wonder if this unlicensed Ritchie game will be his swan song? He has to be contemplating retirement soon.

#2567 5 years ago

I did a quick search and these Pinsiders seem to be the first to mention Munsters, all be it under the "would like to see category not really predictions" so what are your next "predictions" you three?

@dawasa, fishbone & jar155

Honestly I like that I don't know what is next, so imagination can run wild.

I usually love Ritchies Designs the most and am really intrigued what Biran Eddy is doing, besides cleaning microwaves, but with the packages Stern delivered the last year it'll be fantastic!

ONLY Bummer is that Zombie Yeti didn't have the time to work on Ritchies game.
I prefer the comic style look.

Maybe they let Kevin O'Connor draw again for a change.

When asked about retirement, Steve has said that Harry Williams is an inspiration to him, since he made games well into his 70's.

Steve turns 69 next month. I think he's got a few more left in him.

Last year was it TPF where stern announced their 2018 roadmap? I’d be curious to see if they provide that communication again.

They had a great year in 2018 IMO

It's never too early!
We never sleep if there's anticipation in the air!

I am sitting here wondering why nobody has made a pin featuring the #1 grossing movie of the 80s.... ET?

Stern could fill the playfield with 50's style trap holes to recreate the Atari 2600 experience of E.T.

I don't think that one has kept an active community... When was the last time you saw someone at Comiccon fly by with a bike or pointing his glowing finger at you searching for a phone booth?

I think you could make this happen! I wasn't a big ET fan, but it struck me as odd that it doesn't get much love considering its popularity and rank at the time. I'm still firmly in the camp of Goonies being the top choice for an 80's license that needs to happen.

#2582 5 years ago

Goonies definitely has a larger following today than ET.

Pinball was in the shitter in 1982. That's why it never got made.

#2584 5 years ago

According to Greg Freres at one of the Expo talks, Bally BMX was originally intended to be E.T., but they couldn't agree on licensing terms.

Would like to see a pinball based on the DragonsLair Arcade.game. from the 80's

Space Ace would be more fun.

#2587 5 years ago

Space Ace or Dragons Lair!? Just make the damn TRON or LOTR Vault next please .... jeez

#2588 5 years ago

If Gary and team havent been developing an equally, if not more impressive, dinosaur mech for a Jurassic World machine, I will be super disappointed.

Why they wouldnt go balls to the wall with one of these newer machines is beyond me. I know its a business, but still, take some chances bro.

I miss super pins.

Yeah. Louder following? Probably. Bigger? No.

Everybody is entitled to their opinions obviously. Mine would be that the absolute LAST thing we need in pinball right now is another pin based on an old rock band or comic book. Enough!

Bond is being thrown around a lot recently.

I’d definitely be interested in a new Bond pin.
