Quoted from aamauzy:I figured that's what you were going for (the boat), but a misdirect is always a fun "what if"
The roll Stern & Elwin are on currently, if Keith made a Free Willy pin it would probably end up being great!

Lolololol...no

I would be all over that.
Quoted from Boblabla:Bond has little appeal to a younger generation. think of how much money a bond movie, whichever one they're on now, compared to a marvel movie that breaks box office records. Theme is a big if not the biggest player now.
Not only is James Bond one of the most successful movie franchises in history, but the latest James Bond movie (No Time to Die) was the highest grossing movie worldwide last year after Spider-man and 2 Chinese movies I've never heard of: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/world/2021/
In other words, the latest James Bond movie made more money last year than F9, Godzilla, Venom, Black Widow, Ghostbusters, The Matrix or Dune.
Quoted from Grantman:(No Time to Die) was the highest grossing movie worldwide
Im a fan .....but what a terrible film !
Quoted from nicoy3k:Wait, did I jus read that JAMES BOND is a dud theme? Did we not just see 1960s Godzilla sell out instantly? I’ve officially read it all on pinside
Yeah, and according to Pinside Marvel doesn’t sell well due to fatigue with the franchise. Despite the latest Spider-Man film absorbing what feels like a notable fraction of global GDP in ticket sales.
We certainly have our fingers on the market’s pulse.

It did fall apart in Act 3 but it's better than QoS and Spectre.

I haven't liked the Bond films since they've got all serious , to try to compete with Jason Bourne movies , they've lost their heart and soul .
But people love them , so what do I know .

I do agree with the serious part. With the exception of Casino Royale. I think he still had that "Charisma/Charm" with Vespa. Casino Royale is in my top 3 Bond films. Plus all time favorite quote, "Now the whole world's gonna know that you died scratching my balls." lol.

I always got the impression that they had to go serious to distance themselves from Austin Powers. If they kept the "campiness" that permeated Bond films prior to Casino Royale, they would have almost felt like they were trying to emulate Austin Powers instead of how AP satirized original Bond.
That being said, I feel a Bond pin would probably be best if it's done as it's own entity (like a new story) as opposed to trying to follow an upcoming or previous film.
Quoted from o07eleven:The Bond theme would just be the most recent movie most likely.
For sure - Craig will be the face of it.

No. This is a Kapow game dealing with hard to get licenses. It will be similar to the slot machine which includes the old classics like Diamonds are Forever and Goldfinger. Multiple Bonds equal expensive and hard to get license. Can't wait for Pussy Galore multiball.

Don't know that I was able to will it into existence, but I think we see it by January 2023. Was just sharing the popular opinion of Pinside with this thread.

I'm talking more about the constant BTTF posts almost every day. I did a search to see if I was wrong. Nope. 332 posts in this thread by you dating back over a year, and a good 75% of them or more are about BTTF.
Again...I want BTTF just as badly as you do (as do many others here), but I don't think the constant posting by one Pinsider is going to sway Stern's decision on whether or not to make it.

If you don’t do it Stern won’t know!
I would much rather a “GOONIES”! BTTF is my second choice! 80’s were the best!

Goonies would be awesome but would absolutely have to have Good Enough by Cyndi Lauper.
if they do make a BTTF I would miss seeing your posts about it! Even when it’s out, you need to post pictures randomly!

Yeah I have zero interest in BTTF or the Goonies, but I wish Stern or American would make them along with Tron VE just so we don't have to continue listening to this constant droning by the same few people. Unfortunately BTTF is at least fall of 2024 if ever, Goonies was speculated as Deeproot and Stern has no time for VE's right now.
We’re now best friends you and I.
Quoted from crujones4life:Hey guys if my BTTF posts are really bothering you that much just use the ignore feature. Problem solved. Cause I ain't stopping till BTTF gets released! On a side note...I would love a Peanuts pin!

No ignore needed. Its easy enough to tune out the BTTF posts and you must have a lot of redeeming points if you own a Hot Tip EM! It's been on my wish list for a long time.
A Peanuts pin would actually be pretty good! The red Barron would have to be in there though!

Hot Tip EM is my favorite EM ever! I have brought alot of EMs back from the dead. None of them have had any staying power besides Hot Tip and Spooksville. Hot Tip has a spinner, captive ball, 6 drop targets, 2 kick out saucers. It's loaded for an EM.
So this post isn't completely off topic...I'm hoping Venom is not Venom and actually code for something that spits venom.

Wow...no new Stern releases until August. They will be working on backordered pins. Which is good for sure. Boring times ahead for pinball news it would seem.

That's amazing. It would be so nice to get the pins I have on backorder!!!
The next Stern pin is delayed till August says Gary Stern. He says demand for games has gone through the roof and IC has helped that effort.
iC makes for good marketing jingle and creates a closed eco system no other company/boutique manufacturers can match. Many now don’t want to buy outside that eco system, because the future of IC is only going to get bigger and better. It seems buyers mainly want the games that will work in that eco system as the future holds many additional add-ons for existing games. Even new ways to play the same game will be introduced, without spending well over $10k for a new one. Stern is heavily investing in IC and its not just for giving our games achievements.

I don't ignore anybody because everybody has a valid opinion. I was just pointing out that it was a little much with the BTTF posts. I didn't mean any offense.
Quoted from JackG:That's amazing. It would be so nice to get the pins I have on backorder!!!
Why don't they just make a deal with a manufacturer like Pedretti and produce games in Europe too? Backorders will be complete in a hurry, and the European market will get new games quicker.

It's all good gravy. Unfortunately it seems we will all be waiting a bit longer for whatever comes out in the future. But it's time to knock out the backlog. I waited 8 months for my SW Pro last year. Sucked.
