Would make little sense to put their star designer on their boutique premium only line unless he was also simultaneously designing a core game.

Stern had this a few years ago and none of the designers wanted to make it.

Agreed. I think it could be a really great game.
I know everyone is tired of the Marvel titles, but I love pretty much all of them. I've heard rumors the Marvel pin Kaneda is talking about is Spider-Man. I'm not going to lie, I don't feel like that's the way to go. The 07 Spider-Man was pretty good and I think there are other good Marvel properties out there they could work with. I personally would love to see Daredevil, but that will never happen.

It's been almost 15 years...I think another good Spider-Man pin would be welcomed at this point by fans of Spidey.

How do you know that KME wants to do any of the 3 titles you mentioned ? Sounds like a pipe dream to me.

Yes KME is at the top of his game now, I would like to think that he has the opportunity to work with titles that he wants to do, not has to do.
To pull off a true masterpiece your heart has got to be in it. There may be other designers with a greater desire to make said titles happen.

I thought the BTTF & Elwin rumour had been debunked?
Would be a dream combination but most of Keith’s designs have most of the BOM on the playfield, BTTF needs full assets.
Guess they could cover the extra cost of assets with the Premium, LE and SLE model, hell throw in 88 CE’s with stainless steel trim for $30k and they would sell through instantly!
Apparently BTTF is a dream theme for Elwin. I don't care who makes it or what it costs but it looks like (current rumor) Elwin and Kapow are teaming up. I agree usually Elwins BOM is all playfield and little to no assets. Probably why it is a rumored Kaminkow joint venture.
BTTF would be a dream theme for any company and any designer. I believe designers get a certain cut or percentage of every game sold. BTTF is going to do well just on theme alone. I think Elwin has potential, had a thought that he needs to switch things up and try a two flipper game without all the loopty loops. Steve Ritchie has shown a well designed table with good flow is magical.

But Keith has said multiple times he prefers 3 or more flippers, if he can keep making awesome layouts using 3 or more flippers I can’t see him going back to 2.
There’s plenty of designers at Stern who churn out 2 flipper games over and over, so hopefully Keith keeps these interesting layouts coming, although I agree it would be nice to see him try something different from it’s the repeatable loops, the building in Godzilla changing up the path shots is brilliant!

And it was a month or more before the games started shipping. So there no point in announcing if it isn't already on the line in some fashion. It only gives those certain people something else to bitch about.
