Quoted from skink91:Well there you go. They chose Rush over Welk.
I’d have have chosen Wush, and battled everyone with accordion polka’s. Say it slowly and loudly …. Wush, it feels so right. Would have joined the best of both worlds.

I ought to downvote you for tricking me. I kept clicking on the image to hear the sounds of the magnificent squeezebox. Denied.
Quoted from crujones4life:I hope that building mech was built reliably as it doesn't look fun to work on.
Oh man , Wait till you see your BttF clock tower mech !, Your gonna be shocked
Quoted from chad:Wonder what the cost is on BatMan '66 turntable mechanism.?
Its a beauty and would not be cheap
Love this shot
Quoted from RA77:would not be cheap
$1850 with Marco's markup.
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/500-1025-00
The most expensive piece would be the wooden playfield and typical mini playfield sell for about ~$160 and are mass produced for much less. Add motor, geneva gear, down post, brackets, ball guides, clunky spinner, mini screen, cables, switches, targets, lamps, flasher, plastic phone and reactor, etc. Typical pinball parts. Guess your paying for the significant engineering as well.

So far seems like the magnet is failing from overheating. I’m guessing the building doesn’t get crushed as often unless you’re Elwin

This makes me even more curious to see what the temps on the magnet are getting up to. Machines are barely out in the wild and there's already reports of the magnet failing? Crazy. If it's like Metallica, it could be the magnet driver board that's failing and not the actual magnet.

My guess is spike 3 has a different magnet control hardware set up than Metallica . The Met pcb was never the best, I expect that it has been improved apon.
I don't think Met has a thermal fuse. As others have suggested I think this issue will be short lived as code is refined.

Most unfortunate.

Metallica had no fuse on the coil package (Not even a thermal switch like GnR - that also is failing pretty regularly), I know, I replaced a BUNCH of magnets until Chas figured out the problem blowing out the magnet board was the SAM board, not the magnet board or magnets. But yeah, I forgot that Metallica was SAM system.

Quoted from thechakapakuni:Ok, I cracked the code. Stern releases BTTF on October 12th. How do I know, we’ll remember I’m from the Land of the Lost and I know something about time travel. So take this red pill and get ready to travel down the rabbit hole back to the future.
So there’s a cryptic message on DeadFlip IG stories. In case I disappears I’ve screen shot it. https://instagram.com/stories/deadflip/2669294141651284108?utm_medium=copy_link
(See pic below)
The picture shows a boat, Gilligan, Skipper and “The Scientist” (Russel Johnson). Some may think, oh it’s Jaws. Not so fast.
Russel Johnson “The Scientist” was in 2 Twilight Zones (Back There & Execution) - both involving a man that time travels.
In the picture, there is a random Illuminati “All Seeing Eye”. This is tied back to BTTF in a scene described in this video (along with other Illuminati conspiracies) Coincidence? And lastly the countdown represents the time machine settings
And if I’m wrong, you get your money back. And if I disappear I’m in Gary’s basement
Sorry @thechakapakuni, I think you got the tea leaves backwards here. In the image you can clearly see three men doing something never done before, working together with the Spirit of The Radio and tying to go "Live". The "time machine" cough cough another clear reference to one of the greatest live albums ever from one of the greatest bands ever. Also, the all seeing eye ... a subtle reference to the "wide angle watcher" lyric from the Moving Pictures album.

My much simpler breakdown. Rush, 3 piece band. The all seeing eye is a reference to Big Money, one of Rush's more popular songs.

I can't argue with that detective work either.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Where does Oct 12th come into play?
Rush Boutique pin drops so BTTF cornerstone can slide in before the end of 2021. Obviously.

Hmmm, we’ll while your correlation can’t be denied, I think you have Rushed to judgement. The parallels of these 2 guys is too similar to be a coincidence. Both are Professors, and Scientists with PHD’s. Both have dial radios. and both have dates coordinated to October. And this flux capacitor on the beach? I rest my case

Not sure if a case can be rested when the name: Professor Roy Hinkley can be re-coded to form ROSH, which as you well know is the Slavic term for RUSH.
Quoted from V8haha:So is south park going to be a December 2021 release or early 2022?
Quoted from tonyf1965:It must be loaded with switches and optos. I see two phone data plugs on mech.
It's just a node board. Needed for the extra switches, lighting and motor. Nothing to get too excited about.
How did Geddy and Alex fail to see the humor in naming their new libation "Moving Pitchers", "Hemisbeers", "The Camera Rye", "Entre Brew", Opportunity missed boys.

+1 my Mando will have a new set of flipper fans this weekend.
So I made a thing!
Stern let me reimagine the “Pin” and I couldn’t be more stoked with how it turned out!

It honestly looks like the best "Pin" model by a mile. Congrats on the project!

Looks cool! For the cost, this seems more robust than the star wars home pin. Really nice job
Stern has a production backlog a mile long due to (presumably) demand and parts shortages, particularly microchips. Stern prioritizes game builds that use fewer chips to maximize production. Is still running low. Stern gets creative and releases a machine using as few chips as possible that will still sell and releases the Stern Jurassic Park Home edition and... it actually looks like a nice step up at this level. Congrats!

Genuinely impressed with this, considering one for my Kids to jam on as my sons love dinosaurs but Keith’s JP is a little tough for them. Congrates again Jack.
