I am sure Godzilla will be a great game, but I wish Stern would focus on the basics. I think it would be great if Stern would make one of their games per year a retro pinball or remake that might not cost as much due to less fanciness. Sometimes less is more?

It was called The Beatles and they charged more for less.

Perhaps the Pin is what you seek?

Regardless of which title is next, perhaps they can use $1 worth of the price increase to fix the coil stop and flipper button problems.

I have the SW Comic The Pin and it really is fantastic! Straight forward rule set, but still 3 different multi balls, unique scoring bonuses on mode completion, a wizard mode, and a very easy pin to maintain. All about getting the god stack a la MM or MB. Much cheaper (especially now) and still a great experience!

Hate to say it, but I’ve actually been fondly reminiscing about old school photo shop art.
Also hate to say it, but I’m serious.

I do like them to mix it up - with some pins using movie theme assets/images and other pins using hand drawn.

What model game is that off to the right on the line?

That's too much to ask , how dare you ask for working flippers on a 10.5 k game !

Stern already spent that dollar on the colored t-molding, finally matches color with the side armor for GZ.....

Blows my mind that they weren’t doing it with the very first LE they started powdercoating.

The stream for Godzilla looks amazing!!
Congratulations Stern team!!!!!

#21763 2 years ago

I can't watch the stream...Does it have Blue Oyster cult music in it?

Elwin finds more room on playfields then any other designer. killing it.

It is amazing what he has been able to fit on a 20.5” wide board. I predict by the time KME retires… he will have made most of the top 20 greatest pins of all time.

#21770 2 years ago

Glad to see this thread getting back on track with BTTF, Rush, and other speculative title discussions-now that Godzilla is yesterday's news

Interesting list of top grossing media franchises(surprised by Hello Kitty and Winnie the Poo at top-who knew?)...

I think you're right, I was actually saying to a friend of mine that I might just make my lineup all Elwin game (plus MM, AFM, and LOTR).

I feel like his games offer so much variety in terms of codes and shots. I regret selling my Iron Maiden and eventually might try to pick one up.

I had a TMNT recently, and after two weeks, I was done with it.

The good thing is, my wallet is very safe because the only games I'm really looking at from Stern are the ones Elwin is on!

I just watched the Deadflip stream, and i must say, new Stern Godzilla is amazing, here is my impression video:

#21773 2 years ago

As nice as the video is. It is Godzilla. You just can not go wrong. He is a bad ass.

Godzilla stream now on YouTube:

This is why we need Rush.

I heard Gavin Newsom was going to ban Dad Rock pins in California thus discouraging manufacturers from making them.

Yeah that was so glaringly obvious, I felt like there was no way Stern missed that opportunity by accident. Rather they must not have been ready to go color matched t-molding yet due to cost. Although I can’t see how that would drastically increase cost, but I’m also not in their business.

What would be the top three Rush songs To put in the pin if it gets made?

The Holy Triumvirate!!!!

Rush is a poor choice.

Gimme a GWAR machine.

Let me rephrase that....this is why we need a Futurama pin.

#21783 2 years ago

I'm in on Futurama on Day 1. Long overdue.

#21784 2 years ago

All for pins I don’t want to buy for alittle.

And decent Balls!

#21786 2 years ago

There are few dream machines in my world.

Weird Al
Futurama
Harry Potter
Team America
Fallout
South Park, Balls Of Steel

Team America would be epic, but Stern is too family friendly to take it on.

This would be a great title for AP!

No love for Subdivisions? I'm a huge Rush fan but then again I am Canadian. Still I do wonder how much pull Rush really has around the world nowadays, I know they were huge but huge enough for their own pinball machine? No idea. Having said that if they do make a Rush pin I'll probably get an LE.
Side note, with Godzilla revealed what is the timeline for the next Stern? Is it around January or so?

I actually hope it is a Rush pin. that gives my bank account a bit of time to recover from paying for GZ...

Suppose to be December.
I’m a huge fan of Signals and Grace Under Pressure.

I am a big fan of Rush. But, I have no express desire to see a Rush pin.

With Godzilla LEs selling out same day, Rush LEs won’t last very long, likely a day as well.

I wonder what the layout would be on a rush pin?
Would any Rush fans be OK with a Led Zeppelin reskin ? If the prices were the same as Led Zeppelin?

No way. spooky pinball is the only company with stones to do it. AP put dinosaurs in Hot Wheels for Christ sake.

I would not be okay with that. There will never be a second Rush machine made, so I want it done well and an original design.

Well a Borg layout you know it will be great.
How Dwight will manage code ? I dunno.

Rush not a pin for my music line up .
MEGADETH or Sabbath well that's insta buy !

#21799 2 years ago
Quoted from frankmac:

Not sure about the layout, but I bet a washing machine would be somewhere on the PF. Maybe it would spin the drum, open up, and spit out multi-balls. Kind of a 'no-brainer' if it's based on a concert.

Quoted from kciaccio:

To be fair, they just used content from the weird hot wheels kids cartoon that had the dinos and weird storylines. I personally would have preferred a classic Hot Wheels take, but that would have required a lot more resources for AP to make custom video, and after Oktoberfest it's very clear video is not their strong suit. Hopefully Dennis helped them change that.
