I asked at a distributer he said he already has too many people on the list for the next LE.

Basically imo unless you have a good connection it’ll be super hard to get an LE at list price unless Stern does something different which I don’t see happening. Oh well it’s probably premium for me from here on.

Yeah, I kind of made a post about this a few months ago. With pinball getting really hot right now - gone are the days of play it, think about it, and then buy. If you are interested in the game, and you want a collectors (or in some cases an LE), you will need to buy first, and play later. And when I say buy first - you will need to buy it day of formal announcement. Kind of sad, but these new pins are 'selling like hotcakes'. In fact, as you guys know the manufacturing can't even keep up with demand.

Distributers have no inventory well maybe Beatles and maybe some Hot Wheels. No Stern, no CGC, few or no JJP, no PB, no DR.

If there were stock of Elvira etc. maybe there wouldn’t be a feeding frenzy for every new release.

Used prices are sky high and so nib prices don’t look so bad anymore.

Yep. This right here. I have turned my attention towards NIB Stern Pros as used prices are insane right now. Looking forward to trying and probably buying Mando and hopefully BTTF in the near future.

No shit guys... I'm sure both of those titles have given talk has been going on in this thread for the last couple of years or more (JAWS). I actually said that to my contact at AMD, given I've been actively supporting JAWS as a title for years now, I'd be beyond pissed off to miss out on an LE (FFS). Similarly with Godzilla , I said may as well put me down too given it's been talked about for so long. I'm also a customer who goes back to LOTR with them and when I want a title, I'm in. However, this willy nilly bullshit of just put me down for the next LE regardless is really bloody ridiculous. I mean lets say its another classic rock title like Rush (Motley Crue would be different as mega popular glam rock) and you're here in Aus, how many are going be happy with themselves that they just had to have 'the next LE title regardless'. As has been said, especially given we're talking the variability of Stern releases here, it's a pretty stupid scenario to not even get to see anything of the game first even if it's a highly desirable theme. A great example would be STLE, I was very close to jumping in till I saw it and would have regretted it even more so after playing it. Yet I had the opportunity to do so without the current level of bs FOMO, ramped up since Covid or whatever.
Who knows a few interest rate rises could quickly put an end to what we're seeing at moment though here.

That would certainly sharpen alot up. There was some mention on the mainstream media last night about interest rates rising.

That would definitely suit us.... But I am not so sure that will do anything to the Pinball market in Australia.

Our_Man_in_Oz exactly. I don’t want to put my name down for a Le then get something I don’t want, but like you said, you have to do that these days if you want a LE. The list at amd is probably full already anyway. Or close to it.

Stern holds new title development so close to the vest I don't think there is any benefits at all to being an 'insider' for Stern on this.

Will Godzilla LE have a higher flipped price than Mando did? I believe the Mando LE avg is about $13,400 ish for the sake of argument.

It is just supply and demand. Once supply catches up or demand drops off hopefully things will go back to normal. International travel will be on again soon and once everything opens back up properly I think there will be a demand correction. There are a lot of special type of muppets on the FB groups, notice a lot of genuine people have stopped posting?

The high used prices are pushing people to NIB and that is why Stern have become even more popular than before. Bring on the next one... Godzilla!

Yeah totally agree. There's been so much channeling of money that would have been spent on OS travel for sure into all kinds of areas along with pinball. I saw an article about the insanity of the caravan and RV business at the moment. One supplier is booked into billions of dollars of orders into next year. Amazing how people are so despo they take to such crap substitutes as caravanning. I love it when I drive past places like a large dam, not far from a property of mine, that's barely 10 mins down the road from the nearest large centre. As you drive along the shoreline several spots are packed out(which would have normally had a tent or two) with caravans and tents etc. Just think to myself, enjoy sitting there packed in next to all those suckers with the same idea. But yeah seems so many of said muppets have popped up on Aus FB pinball sales pages of late. I have no problem having a go at some of them so some of the stupidity expressed or laziness in not doing their own research. Yep just as people like Kaneda have made the point, may as well buy NIB due to the inflation of some older titles prices. I agree bring on Godzilla, can't wait to see what Keith does with it. Hopefully he knocks it out of the park like JP2.
