After the next one Godgrappa will be a music pin Black Sabbath or another band

#18302 40 days ago
Quoted from oldskool1969:

Fathom 2.0 just looked a whole lot better IMO.
Sometimes too much is just too much

I don’t think it is too much. Just all stuff located in the half upper playfield.
The upper playfield takes its place in the upper level and in the main playfield level. And grogu is definitely big and disproportionate compared to razor crest,...
I like the artwork but less playfield design. Don’t sure if you can backhand left and center ramps.
But i’m sure this could be fun to play.

Quoted from cooked71:

Funny how both LZ and Mando use the vertical kickback ramps since Keith started using them in JP.

Funny thing is that it is used in the Munsters.

Pinside complained LZ was "barren" and now Mando is "just too much."

I'll agree that Fathom looks incredible. Putting "Haggis" on the back glass, making the cabinet glow, and adding a couple LCDs to the apron didn't make it look any better.

And in BKSoR Premium/ LE (you can‘t see it but thats how the ramp feeds the upper playfield).

My issue is not so much the end-user flippers, but the distributors who auction their LEs for several thousands over MSRP. They are abusing their privilege and making thousands off of Stern. And the ultra-rich are gatekeeping LEs. I'd like to see two changes. 1) Stern needs to update their distro agreement and make it forbidden to sell above MSRP. 2) If distro has more demand than supply, simply choose names from a hat.

Quoted from Grantman:

Something needs to change with this Stern LE situation. There are a bunch of Mando LEs in the marketplace already asking $12k to $16k. That's insane. As a collector (not a flipper), I hope that Stern ramps up the LE production so that only collectors (or operators) are buying them and demand doesn't outstrip supply so much that the LEs are difficult to buy when they first come out. From Stern's (and distributor's) perspective, it doesn't do them any good that there are people willing to pay $9k for a game and can't get them. I know somebody is going to say that defeats the purpose of a "limited edition" if they are making 1,000+, but are you buying a game to play or are you just hoping that the value goes up? These are toys/entertainment, not investments.

Meh, let the distros and flippers play the LE speculation game if they want. If I like something and the price is agreeable then I get it, otherwise I move on.

Careful what you ask for. If Stern starts price policing, it wont just be LEs. They would want to control all 3 levels of games and you will never again find deals on NiB pros and premiums.
As far as allocation of the LEs go, every distributor has more demand then they get and most beg for more and never get extras.

Oh yeh, lol. I owned that for a while and totally forgot.

And before that wasn’t it also used in TFTC?

Anyway, they’re cool ramps.

Nothing to see here, move on.

So much for the free market . People - and yes businesses too - can list items for sale at whatever price they see fit . You don’t t have to buy . If idiots are willing to pay then so be it .

My Bally Atlantis has it as well but I thought you were just talking about the Stern resurgence of that ramp (wich is definately a thing).

Really? Everything everywhere? GameStop can list a PS5 for $1000? Sony is cool with it? Doesn't seem likely, but I don't know for certain.

MSRP
manufacturer’s SUGGESTED retail price

As far as I have ever known there are manufactures that restrict the minimum their product sells for but I have never heard of a restriction on the maximum.

From what I understand the margins are pretty tight for the distributors so I would guess Stern is happy the retailer can get more money from the public rather than complain to Stern about not getting enough money from them.

Yep, TFTC in the 90s and also in Wheel of Fortune in the late 2000s. The WOF ramp is actually awesome, because you have 3 in-line drop targets to knock down first before you can access the ramp. I love in-line drops like on MET and TNA. I wish that design was used more, 3 drops with a ramp behind them. It’s especially awesome if they reset when you lose a ball, so your progress isn’t carried over. Too bad it’s only on WOF!

There are a lot of us Aussie who can't stand the taste of Vegemite, Kangaroo on the other hand, yum.

A Majority of Aussies love Vegemite and think eating our native animals is wrong , but a slow cooked BBQ Koala is so yum

Junkyard is the most like the Mando ramp/horseshoe.
It can kick the ball up to the wireform or lift the diverter so the ball rolls around to Spike's dog house. Also a Dwight coded game is memory serves. I owned one for about 5weeks. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. What a turd.

Yeah, sure. Market value may not match MSRP. These are luxury items, not necessities, and distributors are under no obligation to sell at MSRP. Same with other dealer (car, boat, jewelry, etc) situations. In the end, it takes a seller and a buyer to agree on a price to make the transaction happen. That's not abuse; that's just the market being at a higher level than you want it to be at.

We live in NSW and apart from March 2020, we have had hardly any lockdowns. We are so lucky compared to the rest of the world.

Not luck. Responsible leadership. It counts. Look at India. Complete failure of leadership, massive cases and death.

There was more, but it was getting political so I deleted it. Better to use the events now as an example rather than the before. But rest assured, I agree.

I remember large fruit bats all over Australia. Probably not a good idea to eat them. On account of COVID and other diseases.
