Love The Thing too...such a classic. You really can’t go wrong with Carpenter.
Quoted from oneballjab:This would be my choice out of all his work.
An absolute Sci Fi horror masterpiece.
Man is the warmest place to hide! [quoted image]
Oh fuck, DUNE. Could actually be a possibility with the new film coming. I’m all for it.
Quoted from lazySUNBATHER:D U N E

Quoted from Stormfront:I still maintain that a Scooby Doo pin would be killer.
Would love to see a Scooby Doo Pin. Tons of options and assets to use.
I'd love Dune but I don't know how you make a good pinball game out of it.
Internal monologue makes for poor callouts...
Quoted from RA77:When can we get a John Carpenter pin please Stern Pinball ?
Plenty of great titles to choose from.
Killer Audio System and Light show, oh Yeah ![quoted image]
I would die for a Big Trouble in Little China machine! What a gem of a movie so many things going for it I would think just concentrating on a few of them would make a great machine.
Just imagine Kurt Russell call-outs! Lol
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Oh fuck, DUNE. Could actually be a possibility with the new film coming...
Whens the last time Stern released a movie theme with a movie release?
Quoted from johnnyutah:At first glance I read the above as: Evin Baco: Reamers
Sorry my cut copy and paste failed me
Quoted from oneballjab:Even Assault On Precinct 13, although not sure what toys it would have?
Oneballjab, I think that the Ice Cream truck should be there in the playfield ... I must say that that scene shocked me when I saw that Movie, I was about 5-6 yy and when Frank Doubleday(Romero in Escape From New York) killed the girl, I wasn’t expecting that cruel scene lol
Quoted from Darscot:I just do not get the Godzilla thing. It was kinda cool when your a kid because they were foreign and different. I just don't understand what they bring to the table today. I can tolerate Godzilla for hopefully less than 2 hours about once every 5 years when there is nothing else worth seeing.
You don’t get it because you were and are not a fan that’s why you don’t understand.
Quoted from madamyates:Inside word is GWAR.
Haha, cool,
Here is GWAR shot on my pos nokia back in 2010 lol, classic
Quoted from IronMan8Bit:I would die for a Big Trouble in Little China machine! What a gem of a movie so many things going for it I would think just concentrating on a few of them would make a great machine.
Just imagine Kurt Russell call-outs! Lol
See post 5163, Yes, would be awesome with the Kurt Russell call outs
" It's all in the reflexes "
If we name every movie made from the 80's till now i'am shure some one is gone say, yes I told you so.
Quoted from Goronic:I am still holding out hope!
Lots of people have been asking for Tron VE. Not sure why it still has not happened.
Quoted from newpinbin:Lots of people have been asking for Tron VE. Not sure why it still has not happened.
I can take a few guesses...
Fall of 2021.. Disney officially celebrates its 50th anniversary & 10th anniversary of the TRON Legacy film Pin.
Stern is waiting for the TRON Lightcycle Run rollercoaster to be finished at Disney world supposedly 2022.
A TRON 82’ / new version would be a 40th anniversary which would be on July 9, 2022.
Waiting for TRON 3 with Jared Leto to coincide with a new Tron pin. (People are speculating it to be released July 9th 2022)
They are too busy with current builds / have a back log that can’t get to it.
I own a TRON LE, the games amazing. I personally have a feeling in some form they will either vault or more than likely do a new installment for TRON based of the original 1982 film or Tron 3 with Jared Leto.
Quoted from fnord:I'd prefer The Thing but a They Live with UV acting like glasses would be sweet
Hell yeah! Cool idea with the glasses/UV.
Needs to feature “Put ‘em on!” mode where you have make shots to beat up Frank and force him to wear the glasses. Then you would have to keep multiball going for the entire length of that fight scene, which is like, two days long.
Quoted from newpinbin:Lots of people have been asking for Tron VE. Not sure why it still has not happened.
Because they know their business and it probably won't make enough money. It's an old game that quite frankly is not to the level of retro-ness like MM, AFM, or MB to get away with a re-release. There are plenty around to get HUO or used and the theme is not exactly universally loved (Avengers vs Tron, kids aren't going to flock to an old video game theme). A few dozen people on Pinside crying for it for the last 8 yrs is not going to make Stern say "f*ck, we will make a killing bringing back an old game with old technology". Take away all the junk, Xmas ornaments, and action figures people put on their Trons and the game is not unreasonably priced.
And yes, I'd love an 80's movie retheme of it
Quoted from Wilberto757:Who would want a Jumanji pin? Getting to choose a game piece before your first plunge. Maybe a game board that opens as the main toy? The green center of the board as a video screen on the playfield. The options seems endless!
[quoted image]
Gotta go with the new cast.
Quoted from greenstreet:Gotta go with the new cast.
Ya, Im down for either or! Lets see what the community wants.

Not bad for a movie shot on a $100,000 budget. Ice cream scene still shocks me now!
Makes me laugh every time they play potatoes for who has to go and Hotwire the car. That would have to be a mode
CHOLO 5 Drop target bank is a must as well.
I've been thinking Blade Runner would be a great world under glass table with its cityscape, distinct style, neon lights and soundscape. I think there's even game mode potential as an investigation into replicant suspects or an alternative be a replicant and escape. And I am not even a huge fan of the movie.
I also really like the potential of a Scooby Doo table mentioned earlier. I think TMNT's art style on the cabinet would look excellent with Scooby's characters and stuff.
Quoted from Averhoeven:I also really like the potential of a Scooby Doo table mentioned earlier. I think TMNT's art style on the cabinet would look excellent with Scooby's characters and stuff.
Stern tried to make a Scooby-Doo pinball, but their plans were ruined by those meddling kids...
Scooby Doo could actually be pretty cool with the right music and undertones. I can't wait for the mod that there is a blast of smoke out of the pin when the Mystery Machine doors open.

Has to be on the original series though imo.

Wow only 5 numbers here I don't completely agree with (Batman and Jumanji going up with Beetlejuice, Godzilla, and Red Hot Chili Peppers going down) but I like this list and idea. I wish there was a way to keep track of the most talked about theme as kind of a running ticker with themes sliding up and down the list. I think it would just be interesting to see.
Kaneda said on his podcast the rumor is it’s contemporary and very geeky.
Doubt stern would do this, but I think it would be cool if they did-a machine in the universe of “ready player one”. Could use the same treatment as Jurassic park, not the exact story but a side story. May be able to get around some licensing if they went this route. I know it won’t happen, but I think it would be a fun theme.
Quoted from Pinstein:That shogun godzilla looks like an avacado.
It’s a healthy fat.

You almost had me. Snakes and Ladders and I would have pre-ordered the LE.
Brainstorm! Has this one been mentioned before?

Thank you and happy to make those tweaks on the next version. Are you making the same argument for Batman that I’m making for Star Wars?

It would appear that you forgot to include Welk.
