Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

For what it's worth Kaneda has said the next Stern pin is a Brian Eddy machine, has Zombie Yeti art, is a modern theme (not 80s or 90s throwback), and is due out in a few weeks.

This is what I was replying too. I guess I should of quoted it

People still listen to Kaneda? I thought everyone realized he’s full of shit. He said jaws was coming out Christmas 2020. He literally just says a bunch of random shit and then when part of it is true he acts like a prophet.

He definitely doesn't have a sports almanac and a Delorean

Quoted from Phbooms:

I see you post this often so you got me wondering who your distributor is? Hopefully who ever it is gets you your game ASAP because my distributor has comic and OG pros in stock.

Does he happen to have a comic Premium in stock lol pm me if so lol

Quoted from m00nmuppet:

Wow, this is a perfect definition of "high-quality problem."

Hearing this more and more. With the evolved code and assets and UV lighting - and projector on the Prem/LE - it's probably so far above a lot of first impressions - but it will catch up. Maybe re-running as a vault if there's a Stranger Things movie release down the road?

nah, this game is the next classic of pinball. As the game becomes more popular we will see it take over the top 10 machines. I played one recently and it is a really nice mix of old school pinball with modern and it is just an automatic blast, very fast and lots of fun. I bought one the next day, mine is coming next week I also own AIQ, also an incredible game...

Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

Godzilla has been around since 1954...forget about the new movie.

G vs k can be great.
On the right Kong grabs the balls by his big hand and load them under the playfield.
Godzilla left on the playfield, bend over and lose the balls for multiball. You can do a ton of things with this licence.

#14757 3 years ago

Hmm, if it is Brian Eddy then is it more likely Godzilla so you have a giant toy to bash or maybe Mortal Kombat since he also worked on that video game franchise?

Mortal kombat would kill it on route I’m hoping this is the case

Stern could do lots with it...BUT I honestly believe that most potential buyers are more interested in classic Toho Godzilla.

Maybe Japan, but not in Europe.

I’m in the UK and I’d prefer the Toho Godzilla.
The new movies are terrible, don’t have a lot of faith for the 2021 movie either.

I agree the new movies should have better story and acting. The CG is amazing though.

It is a shame that will all the amazing effects big movie studios can do today, they still HAVE to tell a good story! The new Godzilla and Kong effects look fantastic though. Maybe they get it right on the next movie - but I doubt it.

That said, you can still make a great pinball using the new movies assets and concepts. Especially if it is hand drawn art.

1000 people 1000 choices.
For a pinballmachine it's great to have a king Kong vs.... instead only godzilla.
But that is my choice. I don't buy a pinballmachine because the movie is "great", I buy IF the pinballmachine is great.

#14764 3 years ago

Godzilla vs Kong - choose your monster and battle it out in challenge mode - 1v1 or 2v2.

No.

The classics have a cult following.

The new movies have... well, nothing.

You couldn’t be any more wrong. Showa / Heisei era Godzilla has a MASSIVE following all over the world. Saying that ONLY Japanese people like Godzilla films before the 1990s is preposterous haha.

I agree. I grew up watching classic Godzilla since 1974 as far as I can remember anyway. I would prefer a classic Godzilla but I would not turn down one from the new movies either. Win win for me.

Godzilla definitely has a huge following all over the world. If done right it will sell. Plenty of Godzilla fans I bet who do not buy pinball will give this pin a look for sure. My opinion of course.

I wouldn’t call them terrible. Are they great, no. But I still enjoyed them and it’s keeping the franchise alive and new Godzilla movies work for me. It’s not like all the classic Godzilla movies were Citizen Kane. Enjoy it for what it is and be thankful new movies are being done. I am.

So it is Godzilla? Good, I can keep my Alien deposit! Because if it was Back to the Future, I would have pulled it.

EDIT: I'm guessing that's the original Sega one

#14778 3 years ago

I just do not get the Godzilla thing. It was kinda cool when your a kid because they were foreign and different. I just don't understand what they bring to the table today. I can tolerate Godzilla for hopefully less than 2 hours about once every 5 years when there is nothing else worth seeing.

100% agreed with you RA, great titles, lots of potential mate!

-Halloween
-Escape from New York
-The Thing
-Big Trouble In Little China
-They Live

even Christine.... imagine the whole Pinball LE in the same colors of the 1958 Plymouth Fury

#14787 3 years ago

You and I are dreaming my friend. No one in the world of pinball is cool enough to make a John Carpenter pin unfortunately. I’d love a pin that is a compilation of all of his films. This is high atop my most wanted list...as well as ‘Army of Darkness’

Quoted from fnord:

That would be really cool. Maybe a good theme for Spooky?
Like Rolls Royce and RA77 said above, nearly all Carpenters work would make great pins.
-Halloween
-Escape from New York
-The Thing
-Big Trouble In Little China
-They Live
Even Assault On Precinct 13, although not sure what toys it would have?
