Quoted from skink91:

What a bunch of cry babies.

Amen brother, all self induced by believing the horse shit rumors that people dream up and honestly have no clue.

If you didn’t hear it from mnpinball it’s just plain bs.

#14253 3 years ago

Bet they sell a bunch

#14254 3 years ago

Elwin is definitely doing Godzilla. Fact.

#14255 3 years ago

Can this puzzle be related too..

Making people feel stupid about caring about what you are releasing next is not a good way to get people to care about what you’re releasing next.

#14258 3 years ago
Quoted from skink91:What a bunch of cry babies.

Maybe some need to sit back and enjoy a good syndicated music show to help release some stress.

skink91 You know which one I am talking about.

Quoted from cait001:

my hope for Godzilla is that it has a strong crossover appeal and will be part of the growing pinball resurgence in Japan.
Like, maybe also do the callouts and screen text in Japanese and have it configurable? I've been waiting for YEARS for a break-away hit that could do serious numbers in markets like South Korea, Japan, China, etc

I think for now the pinball companies have more then enough orders to have a backlog for a long time. We don't need new people into the hobby...... more orders means I have to wait longer for a pin to be deliver

But I get your comment, it's a good idea if pinball companies could produce more.....who knows, maybe one day they will have outsourced plants to produce more on different continents. For now I prefer Japan keeps playing pachinko lol

[quoted image]

That’s it

#14261 3 years ago

Well, both puzzles look pretty sweet - just ordered both, lol.

I'm going to complete and frame them for the wall in my pin room. That's some pretty awesome pin art...

#14262 3 years ago

No lifestyle brand is complete without a range of jigsaw puzzles.

#14263 3 years ago

I am still hopeful it could be King Kong vs Godzilla as that would bring in two sets of fans. In a Kong vs God film, first problem to resolve is that Kong is 1/4 the size of Godzilla. To make them more equal, Kong needs to be exposed to radiation and grow 400%. Then it would be an epic battle. Without that, Godzilla wins every time. Will we see King Kong (please yes)?

Jigsaw puzzles of playfields or backglasses might actually be cool.

Quoted from NoQuarters:

Aww yeah (and a one.. and a two..)

#14266 3 years ago
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:

Totally agree. This served no freaking purpose. I did puzzles when I was a kid and a few with my kids. I have no desire to buy a puzzle from Stern. Stick to pinball and pinball accessories that actually are used for pinball.

Silly post from Stern.

A puzzle... really.

Still holding out hope next release is Stern employee action figures. The hype is real.

#14267 3 years ago

Also... Eddy will be next, and it will be a humorous pin. Just saying.

#14268 3 years ago

I think Stern employee Bobble heads would be better than action figures !

Make puzzles that'll be the next pins!

#14272 3 years ago

I'm hearing Top Gun now... Stern has done a great job of keeping it off the radar and everyone in the dark on this one. Highway to the Danger Zone!

Okay, I'm just screwing around. Top Gun would be a theme I'd definitely be in, though. I never hear it discussed here as a possible theme so just curious how many others would be interested?

#14273 3 years ago

Sounds good if it’s fast like F14 tomcat.
Pinside would poop its pants if it came with a topper like the original.

#14274 3 years ago
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

Next pin reveal due 28 April
Stern delivered a month early this time!
Math below.
Aerosmith 1/4/2017 (128 days after BM66)
Star Wars 5/31/2017 (147 days after Aerosmith)
Guardians of the Galaxy 11/2/2017 (156 days after Star Wars)
Iron Maiden 3/25/2018 (144 days after Guardians of the Galaxy)
Dead Pool 8/3/2018 (131 days after Iron Maiden)
Munsters 1/12/2019 (203 days after Deadpool)
Black Knight SOR 3/25/2019 (72 days after Munsters)
Jurassic Park 7/26/2019 (122 days after BK SOR)
Stranger Things: 12/23/2019 (150 days after Jurassic Park)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 5/27/2020 (155 days after Stranger Things)
Avengers Infinity War: 9/2/2020 (98 Days after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Led Zeppelin: 12/15/2020 (104 days after AIQ)
The average time between cornerstone releases is now 134 days.
Next Stern Pin is due on or about 28 April.
My money is still on Godzilla based on the quoted post above AND the fact the new Godzilla movie is due out Early May.

Monthly reminder... The Next Stern Pin is not due out until the end of April... statistically speaking at least.

#14275 3 years ago

There will never be a Top Gun pin due to the US Military industrial complex involvement in the production of the film. The license is unobtainable.

But, any info on when the next puzzle will be released?

#14277 3 years ago
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:

The Navy cooperated on the Top Gun for PR and recruiting purposes. I realize the pinball demographic isn't necessarily their target age for recruitment but it is still good PR and most people who own pinball machines have kids.

It probably wouldn't come cheap but I disagree the license would be unobtainable. I think the bigger issue would be paying Tom Cruise, all the actors, and enough of the soundtrack.

#14278 3 years ago

has anyone mentioned the puzzles will likely be LE’s? They might as well number them (say 300) and have the artist sign each. I’d likely spend $50 for one, delivered. How much would you spend?

#14279 3 years ago

I'm not committed enough to the lifestyle to pay that for a puzzle.

$5 plus shipping. Now an actual size playfield artwork puzzle (roughly 20" x 42") of certain titles, I might could get behind.

#14281 3 years ago

Especially when we only get 65% of the puzzle, and have to wait 3 years for them to produce the remaining pieces.

#14282 3 years ago

Mrclean posted this pic in the Godzilla thread I started. Samauri puzzle definitely could be a hint to Godzilla

#14286 3 years ago

I'm trying figure what all these puzzles have to do with tron vault, cuz its next. And I'd rather have gzilla

#14287 3 years ago

A half- or full-size puzzle of certain playfields could be cool. If puzzles are your thing, the artwork of any zombieyeti game would be pretty cool. There's lots of small details that you don't necessarily focus on but you definitely would when assembling a puzzle.

#14288 3 years ago

Judas Priest rock n roll baby. Matches the puzzle.

It is Godzilla. Take it to the bank.

#14290 3 years ago

So.... They are actually just a bunch of puzzles you can buy.....

#14291 3 years ago
Quoted from Utesichiban:

It is Godzilla. Take it to the bank.

Agreed. Stern is not in the puzzle business and could care less about it. They are promoting pinball and the puzzle is all about Godzilla and not a samurai. I read, write and speak fluent Japanese and that is katakana for pinball written below the Stern logo. Stern would not have reason to show Japanese wording if it wasn’t about selling Godzilla the pinball machine (not a $6 puzzle) very soon.

#14292 3 years ago

Godzilla is a dream theme for me. I just hope Stern doesn’t F it up!

I can use this for the Topper and save $1000!
Paid $120 for it in 1995 which I thought was expensive. I’m glad I bought it when I had the chance.

Buy puzzle, place on top of backbox, take picture, sell as "newest Stern Topper", profit $$$

#14296 3 years ago

Stern had Rampage stickers listed the other day (not pictured). The franchise includes cartoon style monsters like an ape and a zila creature. Are they stupid enough to lead with it over Godzilla, I hope not.

A puzzle to top every pinball machine and stickers to paste on every cabinet.

#14297 3 years ago

Anybody heard the rumor or seen Kaminkow’s Harry Potter puzzles? Apparently there are three of them in the works. Brian Eddy IS designing one of them.

#14298 3 years ago

Not sure if this is relevant but stern is re running Deadpool just ordered a premium

It’s more involved than that. The pentagon allowed for millions of dollars worth of Jets and aircraft carries to be used in the film in exchange for early access to and rights to alter the script prior to filming, which they did. The military industrial complex basically turned ‘Top Gun’ into an American war propaganda film. It’s a little known fact but it’s true.
