Van Halen would make a much better rock pin with all the flamboyance of DLR. Ozzy just stood there and rocked back and forth. But Im certain Stern would turn it into a bland mockery like they did with LZ.

Quoted from PBFan:I hope they are done for a while with band pins. I just don’t find that there are many bands that have enough visual assets to make it worthwhile as a pinball machine. I love Zep but as a pinball theme it just doesn’t work for me. I would rather play Metallica with Zep cranked up. They did a great job with AC/DC, Metallica, Maiden and Aerosmith but enough. I know Ozzie and a few others have great assets too but still, it’s time to move on.
I am an old rock Dad but it is time to move on. I get the demographic that they appeal too but it is time to start on boarding a new group of pinheads as we won’t live forever.
I would love to see Queen or Motley Crue. Crue has the artwork and killer tracks. Have a rising drum set coming out of the playfield like the EM on LZ for Tommy would be killer. Just have 2 songs from the first five albums and I would be very very happy. Do a Shout at the Devil LE.

Kickstart my Heart multiball....

I wouldn’t mind a Crue pin.
Stern would probably reuse those pole dancers from Sopranos.

With Stern, the bigger the band, the shittier the game. Beatles,Led Zep. If Stern does BS, its going to suck.

Maybe, but it'll be better than BTTF.

You must not have played those games. Neither one sucks by a long shot.
If Stern doesn’t make it, it probably won’t get made. If you’re lucky another company might produce a theme that is up your ally but you’ll have to wait year after year for the stars to align.
I will not ever step up for a NIN pin again. I can’t stand the low quality shit Stern has been pumping out and JJP is way too expensive along with the of issues and you’re waiting almost a year to get on after it’s announced and put up for sale. Nahh,if there happens to be another one that I think I have to have I’ll wait and buy used

I’d take an NIN NIB. Trent Rocks
Quoted from thechakapakuni:I’d take an NIN NIB. Trent Rocks
Totally. I get all my pins from Trent.
Quoted from MJR8peanut:ive been told the puzzle might just be a puzzle
Ok , not that exciting
Quoted from BrewersArcade:The for record F another band themed pin. Especially shitty hair bands
For the record I will pass on most shitty bands after the best era of music, the 1980’s. If you think Crue in their prime doesn’t rock I feel sad for you.

Hell yeah!! Would love to have S.O.S on there.

Especially if they had bar fight multiball based on in their early years and some sort of gluttony mode for Vince at the end. They could actually just loosely structure the whole Crue pin on the seven deadly sins, now that I think about it...

I just modded my TWD with the NIN/Radiohead sound mix. Freaking awesome - took the game to the next level.

I'm just not into dudes wearing spandex and makeup and saying they "rock"...the end of the 80's hair metal was a good day.

just vault Tron with the full Daft Punk soundtrack, LCD monitor, and an upgraded sound system. They'd sell so many of them.
Quoted from MJR8peanut:ive been told the puzzle might just be a puzzle
hey just a hunch but I think Stern might just be deliberately fucking with y'all junior detectives.

Agreed. I waited until they made a rock pin for a band on my short list. Now that I have LZ I am very unlikely to ever buy another rock pin. One is enough. And you make a good point. You can play any pin and also crank any music you want in the background. Not sure why the music has to be coming from the pin.

Idk, rock bands are kind of the only genre of music that works in a pinball machine with the current buyers of NIB games. Yes, there are some very very poplar artists in pop, electonic, metal, classic and other genres, but imagine a pinball machine with Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Mozart or Bethoven. No thanks, let's stick with rock bands please.
The only genres that in my opinion might work are hip hop (where you have one artist with lots and lots of songs to incorporate) and EDM/house/etc. (with the ridicolus GNR/LZ lightshow again, but now with all the flashy screen animations being more prominent than on GNR)
Bonus: top 25 most popular bands since 2010 (as presented by the first result on google)
1. Linkin Park
2. Coldplay
3. Maroon 5
4. Metallica (already has a game)
5. AC/DC (already has a game)
6. Guns N' Roses (already has 2 games)
7. Red Hot Chili Peppers
8. Pink Floyd
9. Gorillaz
10. EXO (kpop band)
11. Aerosmith (already has a game)
12. Green Day
13. OneRepublic
14. System of a Down
15. Fifth Harmony
16. Arctic Monkeys
17. The Rolling Stones (already has a game)
18. Iron Maiden (already has a game)
19. Lady Antebellum
20. Marilyn Manson
21. Foo Fighters
22. Florence and the Machine
23. One Direction
24. Black Sabbath
25. Nickelback
There are still some spots open in the top 10, and they probably will get their games at some point.

Yeah, but somebody's gotta replace those guys who died so that Trans-Siberian Orchestra can continue on this Christmas...
Quoted from greenstreet:You can play any pin and also crank any music you want in the background.
I never understood this comment...and many people say it. For an EM or early SS...yes. But you can't really be cranking tunes and get the full effect of a game from anything released in the last 30 years if you can't hear what's going on.

This right here. 100%.

Fair enough, I guess it is a personal preference. I always listen to music when I play and I usually name my high scores after the artist I'm listening to.
