Quoted from Thunderbird:

Want BTTF, but probably is going to be Queen or Zep.
If BallPin, aka Kaneda really knew, he’d tell us. We all know he dislikes most things Stern. He’ll do the Kaneda jig dance for machines anyone else produces, but throw rocks at most anything Stern makes.

Yes please: dream machine for 35th Anv year, at least I got the BTTF advent calendar if it’s not

I thought this was a forum to share information?
Not a kids game of I know and you don’t know - low rent!
If you have something to share great; if you don’t or can’t no need to tell us I know but you don’t. What value does that add to the conversation?

People I speak with have a NDA, so I wouldn't just spill the beans for internet clout. I did drop a hint to see if people pick it up. I'll revisit the hint when the pin is released! It's not an obvious hint btw.

#11753 3 years ago

What about a "Rocky” Pinball, I don’t mind a Sports Pinball at all. Also Apollo, Clubber, Drago and even Paulie they can record stuff for the game too... LE’s signed by Sylvester Stallone.etc.

Why drop the hint at all?

If they are under NDA and you hear something respect them, keep it quiet and drop NO hints.

Ask yourself why do you need to drop the hint / what’s the purpose? Does this feed your ego?

Did anyone mention Cars Movies pinball to compete with Hot Wheels?

Alien/s
Predator
BTTF
MEGADETH!!!

The people you spoke with broke their NDA speaking to you. Theyd also known going in that you have a big mouth so that's on them. You didnt sign shit. Either share with the class or sit down and shut up please.
Its not like you will talk all about the actual game when it is released. All we will hear is how you knew the title and your were right right blah blah.
At least it wont be long before you are a happier, sleep deprived version of yourself. Congratulations btw

That’s the only “clue” I could see. It’s the only non capital i, and has to be put in intentionally as it autocorrects. Who knows. Have to wait and see

Quoted from PinMonk:

nteresting that this essentially confirms they gave up on Beatles before hitting the 1966 units because they couldn't sell any more overpriced golds once their Diamonds and Platinums were used up on the initial 1000.

Actually, it's 1964 units.

Also, the Australian distributor has imported 4 more batches of Beatles in the last year, well after the Diamonds and Platinums were snapped up. The next shipment is due into port in January 2021.

Stern needs to produce all 1964 units to recover the $1M license fee they paid Paul McCartney. But they are in no rush to do so. Within 5 years of launch all will be produced and sold.

Not sure why you think the Golds are overpriced. All three models have identical playfields, all are a blast to play, but the Golds are a lot cheaper for the same enjoyment factor and play experience. Maybe the Diamonds and Platinums were overpriced, but not the Golds (which, by the way, are in every way superior and better than any Seawatch I have ever seen).

Quoted from Aussiepinwiz:

They were probably trying to suck up the 50 Platinums still up for grabs after the initial production run that bled out all the Diamonds (in a huge math fail by Stern) by buying enough golds to get some platinums.

That said, I doubt they imported 964 more units. I also doubt Stern produced all 1964 and are warehousing the extras over the first 1000 waiting for them to trickle out from the corner of the storage where NIB WWE machines live waiting to be given away.

Quoted from Aussiepinwiz:

The production schedule posted clearly says "no longer available." Not sure how you believe that will be undone and they'll start making more.

It was a spike machine on the cheap. They didn't even integrate archive video that is broadly available into the code, using STILLS of screaming crowds and partial songs. Extremely overpriced. The secondary market bears this out. Far from being collectible, prices are on a downward trajectory and distributors with stock were making pretty deep-discount deals to blow the golds out last year.

Godzilla,

It's going to be Godzilla.

I sourced the reasons for my speculation below.

1. It is widely believed that Stern has this specific license. We know that Spooky went after the license and was rebuffed https://www.thisweekinpinball.com/twip-spooky-pinball-no-godzilla-license-franchi-on-munsters-and-or-beatles-pinburgh-stream-when-will-we-see-deadpool-more/. There is heavy speculation Spooky and Stern got in a bidding war over this one, and I think we can all agree Stern has more resources than Spooky https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/spooky-godzilla.
2. There have been hints I've seen from supposed insiders, "it's going to be a monster of a game". https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/vote-stern-titles-on-backorder-2020#post-6004004 If true, the monster theme would line up perfectly here.
3. Release would line up or would have lined up with original planned release date of new Godzilla movie originally schedule for November 30th, 2020, now releasing in May 2021. https://www.ign.com/articles/godzilla-vs-kong-hbo-max-streaming-option-after-netflix-failed-offer. This changed release date did not occur until June. I don't know how long the supply chain is in Pinball manufacturing, but Stern may have already been committed to ordering parts for production by this time.
4. Stern has a solid history of building pinball machines previously licensed by it’s ancestor companies, Data East and Sega. It has built Jurassic Park, Batman, Star Wars, Simpsons, Star Trek, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWF https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_released_by_Data_East https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sega_Pinball_machines There was a Sega Godzilla machine released in 1998. https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/godzilla

For these reasons I'm guessing it is going to be Godzilla. Not only do we "know" Stern has this license, but there have been hints from supposed insiders that its a monster game, and the timeline lines up with the original release of an accompanying movie.

What PinMonk said. Aussiepinwiz has been a shill for the Beatles game ever since he got one. I'm still glad I cancelled my order. The game may be fun, but only for about 15 minutes. There's no way they'll make all the games because there's no demand for it and distributors won't buy it when they still have stock sitting around. Makes no financial sense. If they want to recoup their licensing fee, they only have to sell a few more $1000 toppers that cost them less than $100 to make.

That said, if LZ is a reskin (it's not), I'll be out on that too for the same reason. Show me something new.

I think it’s Godzilla as well...possibly not this release but it’s definitely coming. When AIQ was announced I commented on Instagram about my disappointment hoping that it was Godzilla and Gomez commented back “No but your big green friend is crushing buildings in Elk Grove village as we speak” I don’t believe this was a Hulk reference either. Felt like more of an acknowledgement that they were working on Godzilla. I have a screenshot of it somewhere.

I had some locals tell me in May that they thought Godzilla was an Elwin design. If that's the case then yeah, tough to see it being the next release.

Dennis Nordman designed White Water... It's been a while since we've gotten a Denis Nordman game or a Premium+ game from Stern... Could Dennis Nordman be designing a Premium+ Godzilla with influences from White Water? This could add up. Or be nothing.

No chance you’ll ever see a fully licensed Top Gun pin due to the US military’s involvement in its production.

fun for 15 minutes? as an owner of Beatles and most of the other music based pins i can tell you its one of the most fun games stern has made. Simple rule set that keeps you coming back for more. It got a bad rap early earn because of the pricing, but when you compare the Gold to other Stern Premiums its in the same ball park money wise. Serious players love the machine. it was one of my most popular machines on league nights.

#11782 3 years ago

If I had to guess from previous speculation I’d say it’s a Bill & Ted game. Not sure how I feel about that though. Plenty of other great themes.

I wanted to love it. I was in for an LE before I found out there were no LEs...unless you wanted to spend 25k for a different color. I've played it whenever I've seen it at shows, and yes...it's fun for a while. But I found it a little too easy and it just didn't feel like the Beatles. It's more Beatlemania, and the design reminds me of an Easter basket full of toys. I'm a HUGE Beatles fan, but this machine in no way did justice to a group that incredible, and I'm reasonably certain that's one of the reasons for the slow sales.

So I continue holding out hope for Led Zeppelin... (See how I tied that back into the topic?)

Totally agree with this. If you have it in your home, you’ll play it. It’s a difficult game to score on reliably. But it’s fast, fun, and frustrating. Sure it was a redesigned 90’s pin, but very well redesigned. It is also easy to find one now for 6K....call your distributor.
