Quoted from onemilemore:

Excellent points both! In that case, I'll happily jump on the WW84 hype train.

At least they finally stopped pretending there will be WW84 in a significant amount of theatres and just set to release it on HBOMAX.

On a related note, I also didn't know Amazon Prime bought Coming to America 2 for Prime Video...

Yeah my wife was sorely disappointed they pushed the date back on that one.

A remake of Gilligans' Island is coming our way

#11405 3 years ago

LZ then WW84! I’m a stable genius LMFAO!

#11406 3 years ago
Quoted from Tranquilize:

Maybe a theme that someone under 50 might recognize?

Since the Stooges were primarily active during the 30's and 40's you might need to move your "50" up quite a bit.

The Three Stooges still gets regular television air play.

I actually liked the game play on it. I got to feed the volcano god. HAHA

Id like to see a 80s reskin but the hope for a vault seems a bit silly now. Theyre available and nib is catching up in pricing now anyways unfortunately. Good ol SAM

That ship as long sailed, but if they ever make one I'd be in - would be perfect next to my Tron Pro!

How about Gilligan's Island II pinball? It could be a game where we finally try to answer the age old question of Ginger or Maryann?

That was never really a difficult question...

All this talk about Gilligan, STOP IT as I am getting excited.

I’m recently new to the hobby .What happens when they vault a game ? Does the game change at all or is it just cosmetic ?

Sometimes there are minor changes (like the angled metal speaker panels that were different on Iron Man compared to the straight wood ones it originally came with, etc) and LEDs or whatever is newer with the builds since the original machine was made, but essentially they're a re-release of the pin. Occasionally the game also gets a minor code update with the vault release, too.

Geez, I don't get a whole lotta love here, but I heard as early as tomorrow, but most likely Tuesday.

#11427 3 years ago

Try to find the behind the movie show , it's fantastic. Crazy cool info..I think it was the 25th anniversary.

1) The almost wanted to fire Spielberg .
2) Way over budget
3) location shooting was a nightmare

on and on you will like it if you are a Jaws Fan.

The part with the young intern that breaks open the a particular scene will shock you. Cant give it away.

Enjoy.

I see what you did there. I've been thinking a Black Dog/Black Friday teaser video might be fun.

Zeppelin will be the best music pin ever made because .... they made the best music. Starting from there and if Steve Ritchie doesn’t muck things up by using a boring fan layout, these should sell ok. No way you’ll get 25% of the experience as GNR, but it will still be worth shooting and it could be a whole lotta fun. Looks like LZ will be followed next year by BTTF, Godzilla and then Jaws. I especially can’t wait for the latter two.

Thanks for a good laugh on Turkey day!
Best music pin ever....

Let’s see how many they sell.
I am sure Steve will design a good game, but best ever....hmmmm

AC/DC has sold a shit load for example.

#11434 3 years ago

Why do people talk about sales numbers when stern literally doesn't release those numbers?

Here is some quick info on AC/DC. We will see if Stern throughs a party for LZ. Read few posts greater by Steve Richie - best selling modern pinball of all time by Stern. (Based on that I think my estimate of shit load is close enough).

Give it up Jim - Welk will eclipse them all when it's released.

Quoted from NoQuarters:

Not Welk, John - although that slow dance music might just sell a few

Remember who “the champions” are

Queen will be number one music pin when it comes out.

Quoted from cpr9999:

Nothing is for sure. They could always Munster it. I know, it's depressing, but Stern can screw up the surest of bets. Let's hope they get Queen right.

Explain your basis for BTTF. There has been no credible rumor regarding this. Joe K trolling doesn’t count.

I also don't get the obsession with Jaws. It was the code name for Jurassic Park. That's it.

If you're going to obsess on Jaws, why not keep talking about Goonies, too, even though that was just the code name for Stranger Things?

There is really only one rumor that has some meat to it and that is LZ.

Everything else is dreams and noise.

Totally agree. Both Jaws and BTTF are not happening. Pipe dreams.

Harry Potter seems to be picking up steam at Stern (unfortunately not JJP).

It’s a vaulted DMD era game ported to Spike with an LCD.

The evidence is admittedly slim and the source is sketchy at best. Maybe better described as half of a he said/she said situation. But given where we are, some facts stand out. BTTF4 movie is happening this year, unless it isn’t. MJF is still alive and capable of starring in another role. Kaminkow designed the first BTTF, so it makes sense it would be staying with Stern. Somebody has the license to make the pin but I don’t see it going to American or Deeproot because of that. When it happens, I’ll declare ITYS, as you are free to point out the error in my ways when it doesn’t happen. Until then we shall wait and see.

Nope. He just retired again a week ago due to declining health.

Sorry to hear that. The good news though, the pin will probably be based on the first film only for budget purposes. So MJF could still be filmed in a cameo role and the movie made in its sweet time. There is nothing holding Stern back from releasing a revised BTTF pin based on BTTF original movie.
