Lol...I’ve got news for you. Marvel shit IS definitely kiddie stuff.

Quoted from Indusguys:

At least it's not kiddy theme, like Wonka, TMNT, and Toy Story.

Hah, pass on having anything Marvel in my house. Not into the American military complex propaganda.

Seriously...that post is halarious

Quoted from Indusguys:

It's not? All/almost all superhero-themes are kiddy themes, just for a bit older kids, aren't they? No problem if you like them: lots of people do, but I wouldn't call it 'mature' or something.

That said: I'm looking forward to seeing this new pinball! Just like I'm looking forward to seeing Guns 'n Roses, of who I still own a few cd's, and Toystory, of which I only saw the last one once, but it can make a great pinball-theme I think.

Quoted from Rarehero:

...but it clearly has Infinity War/Endgame characters & themes.
Soooo...this could be an Avengers tweaked vault with new rules (like BDK morphed into B66). Based on Infinity War/Endgame movies, but with comic book art and fake voices.
Most people hate Avengers tho...wonder if its worth re-skinning a better game vs. altering Avengers.

it’s not

Quoted from DS_Nadine:

The maximum to happen on a friday is a teaser for a new game, since the marketing machinery and retailer preorder chain would die off on the weekend.

It's me that I got this info from all the time I quote myself in my 10 Twippy in a row winning podcast!

Just a game, man! Just a game!

AVENGERS 2.0

Quoted from Tsskinne:

Based on comics not the movies, think of it like Deadpool.

Deadpool plays great, BUT no Ryan Reynolds and movie cut scenes = not worth the money.

#9660 3 years ago
Quoted from skink91:

Ha. Queue outrage over misunderstood comment... but you do you dude. Sigh.
Usually pinsiders of 1 year or less aren’t real ‘tight’ with industry insiders, so claims about their knowledge of what is coming next because they talked to ‘someone in the know’ is odd.

Ill be sure to use my sarcasm sign next time.

Pfft.

That game is amazing because they didn’t use the movie assets. They nailed that game.

#9662 3 years ago

I’ll say it again.
They are still doing limited runs of GOTG. What other 3 year old game can state that? It has been a big seller and so an Infinity War style game makes sense to Stern’s bank account.

Will this new machine be any good? We don’t know yet.

For me it will have to have...
1) tv screen with scenes from Infinity War and Endgame
2) real movie dialogue
3) Infinity Gauntlet toy where real stones move and click into the gauntlet as you collect them
4) 3 or 4 flippers
5) an upper playfield
6) one crazy unique new feature

I own DP and Im so glad they went comic and didnt use the movie. Makes it more timeless.

I meant all the actors are adults doing adult things not kiddy things, Like the other themes I mentioned. Thanks for laughing out loud at me.

I cannot like this comment enough. These Hollywood Marvel films are rife with right wing bootlicking propaganda.

With an avatar like that we can wither be amused or be creeper out so, it is a compliment

#9670 3 years ago

Keith has been a monster as of late so I am excited to see it.

#9671 3 years ago

Yeaaaaa...shooting laser beams out of your eyes is definitely adults doing adult things haha. Too each their own man...It’s just not my thing.

metallica, ac/dc, tron, star trek, spiderman I bet more.

Quoted from Aphex:

maybe an endgame version? it had the snap and the dust... I'd prefer a whole new game but I guess we'll see

Stern long awaited pinball book?.

#9676 3 years ago

If Keith designed it i'd have to consider it for sure. He made a JP theme i didn't want great.

Maybe that is what he meant by "doing something a little different on the next game".

#9677 3 years ago

Has Stern ever announced something else, say the week after today's announcement? Like another brand new game?

This Avengers title seems to have been on their radar for a while, probably pushed back because of covid.. so, a bit disappointed considering how the hobby has picked up steam in recent months..

Just saying we may get more shortly..

#9678 3 years ago
Quoted from yancy:

Umm, no and nope.

Yeah, 2 of the top grossing films of all time with a vast laundry list of huge Hollywood stars.....why would anyone want that put in a pinball machine? I’d rather have 16bit comic style graphics.

Sarcasm^^^^^^^^

#9679 3 years ago

I didn't say you shouldn't want it. I said you're not getting it.

#9680 3 years ago
Quoted from northvibe:

metallica, ac/dc, tron, star trek, spiderman I bet more.

They are still making Metallica Pros, Spider-Man Pros, AC/DC Pros? Huh. I had no idea.

#9681 3 years ago

Not Jaws ! But I am excited to see what this looks like!

#9682 3 years ago

So, Stern still has Avengers license. Keep it cheap.

And so much for Led Zeppelin.

No, MNpinball had said another was coming before Zepp. So much for now but it's still in the mix

#9686 3 years ago

Well seems like a let down... what's Stern's next pin?

#9687 3 years ago
Quoted from transprtr4u:

LZ or Vault.

#9688 3 years ago

TOHO GODZILLA.... I have it on authority that STERN cannot make LED Zeppelin because Zep stole all of their music from Delta blues musicians and English contemporaries. Too many outstanding lawsuits. Sorry Dad rockers.

It is.

#9692 3 years ago

Awfully boring and corporate, if you ask me.

#9693 3 years ago

It is definitely Elwin

Quoted from cooked71:

#9694 3 years ago

What'd I miss, did Keith confirm he's working on it or something?

#9695 3 years ago

Disappointing. Needed a better theme so that people would start unloading their current pins in the market to make space for this one.

#9696 3 years ago

love GOTG !!!!!

ZERO interest in yet another Marvel pin. C’mon Stern, give me something I can sink my teeth into...or would sink it’s teeth into me, like Jaws or Godzilla!
