Im hopeful but i havent even found a tmnt to play yet. Pinbars are only just opening up again (with major restrictions) Seems like they (Stern) would be competing with themselves with another release so soon. Covid sucks on so many lvls

Yes, announcing a new (cornerstone) game would make not much sense yet.
Usually their next game is announced the day the first Premiums arrive here; that's still far off (the LE's just landed today afaik).

I did read that Heighway had blown some major coin on licenses before they even finished getting Alien out the door, including Queen and Playboy. Another small company offered to buy the Queen license before it expired, but Heighway refused. I wouldn’t mind a Queen music pin if the game was fun.

Heighway barely had enough money to keep the lights on let alone afford a monster licence like Queen. They made a VP demo which honesty didn’t look that good.

That’s partly true, there’s a long discussion by a former Heighway employee on the Alien thread about all the things Andrew blew money on, including a huge factory, Porsche, machines for production that were never used and expensive licenses. Interesting read. The problem sounds like poor management, not lack of funds. Lots of people invested. I believe he said Deeproot offered to buy the Queen license but had no interest in Playboy.
I’m still hearing LZ is coming and sooner rather than later.
This kind of makes me doubt the Queen rumor as I can’t see them doing back to back music pins unless one is a re themed classic or a Kapow title.
I don’t doubt they will try to launch a music pin to coincide with JJP GNR.

JJP won't release GnR anytime soon, also Stern will make an announcement in two days so we will see if LZ is the next pin 
Another company that works with Stern to get some tough/expensive licenses. See Batman66 or the Beatles pinball threads....

People thinking that this is too soon to announce another game, Turtles was delayed a bit because of Covid, and often times licensing deals have clauses in place to release or announce a product by/on a certain date. I've heard from several people that we will be getting an announcement next week.

That would be cool! However, I'm hoping if it is GODZILLA it will be to coincide with the next movie, which comes out in May 2021 and is entitled GODZILLA VS KONG. Imagine the possibilities of a pin that has two classic monsters battling each other. That would truly be EPIC!!!
Ehhh, I prefer the classic Japanese Godzilla. Historically Hollywood has not done the franchise justice. Stern...Give the people CLASSIC GODZILLA! DESTROY ALL MONSTERS OR BUST!

The upcoming Stern announcement is not regarding a game. They are introducing an HDMI Adaptor to help streamers display their score screens.

I still think you all are fighting over which will be the cornerstone, when we should be discussing which will be the cornerstone and which will be the studio title for the year. (My opinion, Godzilla 2020 = Elvira HOH 2019)
